As a big time sports fan, I was none too delighted to see sections devoted to specific athletes (Ichiro and Madano). At first, I didn't get this fic, but once I got a handle on who was narrating it, it all fell smoothly into place. That said, this is an amazing story that, while not having an obvious plot, is able to show how tragedy and regret can eat at a person. As much as I dislike A-Rod, I would never wish something like this upon him (especially if it meant the death of Ichiro).

One question though - did Ichiro and A-Rod ever play together? I'm uncertain...

I have no Idea who any of these people are, But I love the way its written. very casual, but very effective, especially in showing bitterness. and of course I give you kudos for writing a sports fic in the first place. well done.
