First of all, thank you for coming to me about this -- that was very nice of you.
After giving this a bit of thought, I have a suggestion that should make everyone happy (and thanks to everyone who got involved, btw). No, I don't want you to remove your story because I *am* flattered that my writing inspired you. I agree that we often read fanfic that causes our brains to spin, and there are many ways to look at the same situation. I do see some dialog elements in your piece that are close to mine, though ("You called me a faggot..." etc), and in light of that, I would ask that you include an author's note at the top, mentioning where you got the inspiration for your story. You should include that you contacted me and have my approval to keep the story posted at aff.net. And please email me should you need to talk about this further.

Hello, I have been having trouble with a certain user because of a story I wrote, in which I basicly used the same setting as yours for this one. I was just wondering if it bothered you. If it does, I'll remove it, no problem. If not, well I'll leave it. I though I'd leave the decision to you. the story is After the Interview. Thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.
