A friend of mine linked me to this story after I told them I had AS. Tbh, I think your portrayal of Gerard is a bit over-the-top. I'm aware that people with Asperger's--and all other ASDs for that matter--are affected differently, but Gerard's behavior seems closer to someone with classic Autism or PDD-NOS than AS. Also, a bit of constructive criticism writing-wise: stories generally flow better if you keep a unified point of view. Choose first or third and stick with it, rather than switching back and forth. If you wish to write from multiple characters' perspectives, you should use third omniscient (the all-knowing narrator), or else switch perspectives between chapters, instead of during (i.e. Chapter 1 from Mikey's POV, Chapter 2 from Frank's, etc.)
Other than that, though, you have a rather adorable (and addictive!)story here, which I plan on continuing to read through the end.
I particularly enjoyed this last chapter (28;Christmas). The real Gerard has always helped me feel "normal"; on top of which, my MCR fandom led me to meet another girl with AS who I now consider one of my best friends(Coincidentally, she organized the very protest you mentioned attending ;)), as well as a woman whose daughter is Autistic. My parents often give me a hard time about my obsession, but my life wouldn't be the same without it. So it is with a slight hint of irony that I couldn't help but smile at Frank's present, as I know exactly how much it means.

Okay, I have to admit I registered to this site especially to review this story. I have Asperger Syndrome myself and at first when I read about Gerard I was like, wtf, am I that complicated too? But it seems to me that Gerard has some sort of other 'illness' besides AS (borderline or something), 'cause AS people usually aren't really like that. Thank god :P Not to downrate your story or anything, because I love it and it's one of the best I ever read <3 There's just one thing that bothers me a bit though: Asperger people tend to feel older and more mature than their real age, instead of younger and childish. But that's okay 'cause it's all still fiction =] Amazing story! Keep it up!
