(Have I already reviewed this? Shit... I don't remember... whatever, I'm doing it again!)

I -love- this story. It seems like so much fanfiction focuses on the physical aspects and this was just so psychological, delving so deep into both Kyo and Kaoru and how they're -both- affected by everything... Just beautiful. I love how everything grows and changes over time and there are -setbacks- in the progress they make, but they push through those together.

I think if this had ended at the original kitchen scene where Kyo first recognized Kaoru, I wouldn't have liked it quite as much, because it would just have been... too easy? I still would have enjoyed it, of course, but I don't think it would have been quite as striking for me. It's really only in the last couple chapters that my eyes really start to tear up, you know? I've already read the sequel, but that was a while ago, so I'm going to read it again ^_^

Well, well, this is certainly getting interesting. I can understand Kyo's raging emotions at this point, even knowing that Kaoru took care of him for so long, it must be very difficult to accept after what he's gone through.

Don't worry about the time-skip either. It makes perfect sense. To be honest, I wouldn't want to read five more chapters of Kyo randomly recognizing Kaoru and then blanking out again anyway... and oooh, Kyo had a boyfriend? Kaoru's jealous! Haha. I'm really liking this, even though it's rather depressing. Fingers crossed for the old Kyo back! (Even though I know that he'll probably never be the same)
