Nightmare vacation

Obviously I own none of these people except the bad guys. Sometimes when I'm sitting home alone and I have to clean I just decide to forget about it and hurt people instead. So that's what I'm doing. Ryan is my target for now. Earlier it was Greg from CSI. Who knows where my sick and twisted mind will take me next. At least I'm giving Ron from KP a break for a bit. I think this is going to probably be a Ryan/Simon fic since I don't really see any. Maybe it will be a Ryan/Paula fic. I don't see those either. Although I'm all sorts of talented(LOL) I'm not making any money from the story.

Warning: There will be rape in this story. I have no idea how bad it's going to get so please be careful when you read. Thanks. And please review.

Ryan looked around the empty stage. He sat down on the edge and leaned back until he was lying down, looking up at the lights. Bo had lost. He didn't really expect that, but it had happened. Now he was facing another round of auditions with a bunch of losers just so that one of the lucky brats could have everything handed to them. He closed his eyes. I can't do this again. I hate this fucking job.

He let himself get lost in his thoughts for awhile and didn't notice Simon, Paula, and Randy come out from their rooms backstage. Paula held up her hand for the guys to be quiet and they moved closer. Randy was about to startle Ryan when a sob was torn from the young man's body and he placed both hands over his face.

Simon looked at the others in horror and gestured for them to follow him back to his dressing room. They managed to get there without Ryan noticing and they all stood there in Simon's room for a bit not knowing what to say. Finally Simon sat in his makeup chair and turned it to face the couch where Paula and Randy took their seats. "What in bloody hell was that about?"

Paula rolled her eyes. "Can't you see? He's stressed out."

"I'm stressed out, too, and I'm not crying like a little nancy boy, am I?"

"Yo, dawg...you can be really rough on the runt." Randy leaned back in the couch and tried not to think of some of the things he had said to Ryan over the last few years.

"And you're not? The only one of us that has ever been nice to him has been Paula."

She frowned and shook her head. "That's not true. I just went off on him the other day and...I hit him."

"What?!?" Both men leaned forward, but Simon began the questioning. "What do you mean you hit him? Did he hurt you?"

Paula sighed. "I can take care of myself, and no, he didn't hurt me. He wanted to know how things were going with the loser that was telling people I had sex with him. I was so upset with all the questions people had been asking me and I know that Ryan was just concerned, but..." She shrugged.

Randy touched her shoulder. "But what? What happened?"

Paula wiped a tear from her eye. "It's just so humiliating that someone would say that about me and most people just want to dig into things to hurt me. I told him to go to hell. I told him that he was probably the leak around here with the tabloids because there was never anything about him...just us."

Randy nodded. "That's true, but Ryan always keeps his nose so clean. There's just nothing to gossip about."

"I know, but he looked so hurt. He said that he just wasn't as interesting and that he never had anyone need him like this idiot apparently needed me." She sighed loudly. "He meant that this guy is such a fucking loser with no talent that he needed my image to help his. I took it wrong and figured that he was believing that I slept with that 'no dick' and I slapped him...hard."

"Paula, how could you? Ryan is a valuable part of this operation. We can't lose him because of some little tiff."

"Simon, why do you even care? Nobody has been as mean to him as you have. I have physically harmed him, yes, but you constantly belittle him."

"I most certainly do not. I respect his position here and-"

Randy couldn't resist speaking up. "Oh please...don't make me laugh. You treat him as if he's beneath you...beneath us all. I've done the same. We need to make this up to him somehow."

"A vacation." Paula perked up. "We'll pay for him to go on a vacation."

Randy shook his head. "Why? He doesn't have any friends. He's never mentioned family to me. So we make him feel less isolated by sending him off alone somewhere?"

Paula nodded. "Good point."

"We'll all go." Simon stood up. "We work together every day. The three of us know each other well and talk and laugh like old friends. Ryan's never been a part of that and we'll take care of that situation now."

Paula smiled. "Sounds like a plan. I'm in. Randy?"

"Anything to not have to see him crying like that again. Damn...I may not know him well, but that was some serious pain rolling off of him."

The three judges got up and checked on Ryan again, saddened to see that he was still lying there. They started talking loudly behind stage and moved to the stage area. The saw that Ryan was getting up and turned away from them, probably to get his tears wiped away.

"Hey dawg! What's up?"

Ryan turned around and smiled. "Just getting ready to head out. I thought I'd enjoy the quiet while it lasted."

Paula grinned. "Yeah, it's totally different in here without the screaming fans. Um...now I have to figure what I'm going to do with my off time."

Simon put his arm around her. "A romantic getaway with me, of course." He laughed as Paula rolled her eyes. "Oh okay...we'll take Randy, too."

Randy frowned. "No way. I'm not going to watch you two slobber on each other and sit by myself. I'll only go if Ryan goes."

Ryan's smile faded into a look of shock. "Me? What? Uh...why?"

"Come on, dawg, don't be like that. We never see you in the off seasons. I'm starting to think that you don't like us."

"No, that's not it. I just...well, I don't know."

Simon clapped Ryan on the shoulder. "Tell you what? I'll pay your way. It's the least I can do for all you've done for the show."

"All I've done? I just...I mean I don't..."

"Ryan, you make the show what it is. You present the show to the public and they love you." Paula smiled at him. "I would really like it if all of us could go somewhere together and just enjoy what we've all created. You are a part of that whether you realize it or not."

Ryan looked down, obviously trying to reign in his emotions. When he looked up he had that same smile that he wore on the show and all three judges suddenly realized how fake Ryan's happiness was. It nearly broke their hearts that they had missed so many things about the young man. "Yeah, alright. Just text message me our meeting place. I'll trust you guys to decide where we're going." He left to get out of there so he could think about what had just happened, not caring that he hadn't wanted to go home yet. He made it to the airport and got on his flight in plenty of time to regret his decision. A vacation where I get to be the whipping boy. Maybe this isn't such a great idea. He shrugged to himself. Oh well. I might not be back for next season anyway. He leaned back in his seat to get some rest.

Meanwhile Randy, Paula, and Simon were working to get things arranged. They had booked a later flight to LA and had no intention of trying to discuss things on the plane. They found a cruise that was 2 weeks long and left out of Houston, but would deposit them back in LA. The trip into Mexico and South America seemed perfect for the group. They booked it hoping that it would be a dream for Ryan. They never thought it would turn into his nightmare.
