She Calls The Mansion Not a House but a Tomb
A/N Ok, yeah, well I don't have spellcheck or any of that magic so if your obsessive compulsive about typos you might wanna sit this one out. Other than that, I try to reread it and make everything as a-okay as possible. Oh yeah, please review.... I just thought it seemed the appropriate thing to say.
Disclaimer: I own nothing except Aussie
She sat alone at the edge of her highschool parking lot. Looking up, she could see the sky littered with stars as her breathe made foggy patches in the air. A soft and sad slow song echoed out of the school gym behind her. She paid no attention to it as she pressed her silver high heel hard against the gravel and twisted it, making an oddly satisfying crunching noise. Sighing deeply and resting her head in her hands, she looked out over the metallic cars, standing still in the light from the gym's slightly opened doors. As she sat staring at the wheel of a nearby sports car, her ears perked as she heard footsteps coming from behind her. Her first instinct was to turn around, but she remained staring at the wheel until she could see the person's shadow on the ground in front of her.
She felt the person sit down beside her and it was then she allowed herself to look over. Sitting next to her was a boy she had seen at school before, but never spoken too. He had shoulder length black hair and pale green eyes. He was wearing dress pants and a white button down shirt with a crimson tie and his overcoat flung over one arm. Letting a few strands of straightened brown bangs fall into her eyes, she kept her head turned as she watched him. He was looking out at the parking lot as she had been only moments before. He didn't look at her. Instead he merely took a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and began to light one.
"You smoke?" His voice was undescribeable. It seemed so soft yet so masculine. It almost distracted her from the question. Not thinking twice about it she answered,
"Nope." He nodded slightly and she turned her head and started to stare back out into the expanse of vehicles. He puffed his cigarette and then switched hands. She watched him from the corner of her eye.
"What's your name?" His tone remained nonchalant, almost as if he could care less if she answered or not.
"Aussie."
"Weird name."
"Thanks." She gave him a thoughtful look before asking, "And yours?"
He remained silent for a few moments and after almost a minute Aussie began to think 'My God, he's teasing me with his mind'
"Gerard." he stated, as Aussie came crashing out of her sedative state. Sick of his silence, she began to speak.
"Why are you out here?" She turned to look at him again.
"I could ask you the same question."
"Hmph" Taking a deep breath, she folded her arms over her chest. She was freezing. Without having time to react, Aussie realized that Gerard had just placed his black overcoat over her shoulders. She thought about saying thanks, but then decided against it. Aside from the coat, he hadn't exactly been Mr.Nice Guy. Tightening the coat around her, she watched him flick his cigarette on the ground. He placed the heel of his boot on the ground and twisted it, extinguishing the ember and making a noise identical to Aussie's earlier one.
"I'll catch you around." With that he stood up. Aussie felt slightly intimadated as he stood, towering over her. Then he did something she wasn't expecting. For the first time that night, he looked at her. His pale green eyes made contact with her violet ones and she felt a blush creep up her spine, The way he looked at her made her feel like she wasn't wearing any clothes. It scared her. And it excited her.
Aussie half nodded her head, aknowledging his leaving. He started to pull away and Aussie felt a strange urge in the pit of her stomach to reach out and grab his leg and to tell him to stay. But she didn't. Instead she sat there and watched him walk off into the parking lot.
It dawned on Aussie the next day that as she had gone home with Gerard's jacket snug around her shoulders. Aussie didn't know why but she liked the way it smelled like smoke. It reminded her of him greatly. It was the next day, and seeing it was a Saturday, Aussie had the day off and figured she could go give Gerard back his jacket. She knew where
he lived due to the fact that he had ridden her bus back in elementary school. He had been the quite kid with the weird eyes whose clothes didn't match, and she had been the little princess who everyone adored.
'Opposite sides of the track' she thought as she stared up at the rundown house. It hadn't changed a bit over all the years. Aussie felt a pang of sympathy as she remembered her large white-washed house with its massive pillars and expensive hedge clippings and statues. 'What have I gotten into? ' She stared up at one of the dark upper-story windows. She felt a small pang in her gut. 'Is that his room? '
Aussie walked up to the front door, her expensive sneakers causing the boards of the front porch to creak. Aussie rapped twice on he door, nervously pushing a strand of brown hair behind her ear. Her violet eyes were shifty and nervous as she heard footsteps approach the other side of the door.
The door creaked open to reveal a very puzzled Gerard, wearing nothing but a pair of black dress pants. 'He must have slept in last night's clothes ' she thought nervously as she extended her arm out to him, showing him the jacket.
"You forgot this." She was suprised her voice was so calm as she felt the palms of her hands get sweaty at the sight of his pale white six pack. A trail of small black hairs led down from his belly button. 'Forgive me God' she thought as she attempted to stop her own thoughts. He took the jacket and then gave her a very clear once over, not caring if she noticed. Aussie suddenly felt very self-conscience. Her black and white Nike Shocks, her pale $80 jeans whith the designer holes in them, her silk pink tank top with the oriental design around the edges, all of it made her feel like the scum of the earth.
'Idiot, why didn't you wear sweatpants and a t-shirt!' her mind screamed as she squirmed under his gaze. He then looked up at her face and Aussie felt the same way she had the night before.
"Wanna come in?"
Aussie shook her head dumbly as he moved aside to let her in. What she saw suprised her. The inside of his house was simple and clean, his small living room containing a small red couch, a wooden table, and a small tv. She saw the light from what she expected was the kitchen glowing further back and a dark staircase lead upstairs.
"Your place is..... nice" she said, wrapping her arms around herself in the cold air. "Where are your parents?" she asked as she turned around to face him. She noticed his eyes had been occupied on some of her lower bodily regions. He looked up at her, without the least bit of embarrassment. "Yeah, I'm up here." Aussie snapped, angry that he let his animalistic urges show so freely.
"That's odd, I could have sworn most of you was down there." He lifted a dark eyebrow at her and Aussie could feel her cheeks grow hot. "Their at work, come on, I need to put this jacket away." With that Gerard spun around and started up the stairs. Aussie rolled her purple orbs and followed suit.
Aussie felt an odd sensation as she realized she had been right predicting where his room was. As she entered it she first noticed the black walls. Then the single bed pushed against the furthest wall, surrounded by posters of bands Aussie had never heard of. Clothes were strung out randomly, including several pairs of boxers. Aussie looked over and lifted an eyebrow at Gerard's desk, which had the words "My Chemical Romance" scratched into it.
Gerard threw the coat onto his bed and spun around quickly. Aussie was caught off guard and found herself face to face with his dark nippled pale chest. Tilting her head up she found him staring at her, yet again as if she were completely bare. "I've seen you at school before." His voice had taken on a slightly lower tone.
"I've seen you too."
"You always look so happy."
"The only difference between happy people and sad people is that happy people are just good actors." Gerard stared at her a while after she said it. Aussie felt slightly dizzy and stepped past him, moving over to sit on the edge of his bed. His bed spread were black silk and felt good against her skin. Before she knew it she had layed down completely on his bed. She turned her head and watched him watching her. She felt oddly sensual laying on his bed, running her hands up and down the silk bed spread. He was looking at her, the corner of his mouth was raised in a slight smirk as he watched her wither slowly on his bed. Aussie didn't know what she was doing. Her mind asked her body why it was putting on the strangely erotic show and a small pang in her gut told her it was because she liked the way he looked at her.
She stopped suddenly, deciding she had teased him enough. She scooted up on his bed a bit and rested her head against his pillow, his eyes never leaving her. He moved slowly, as if making sure not to scare her off, and he sat down on the edge of the bed by her knees. "Your a tease." his voice was low and normal. She had to give it to him, he kept his cool.
"No. Your heads just in the gutter." and with that she sat up and slide past him, moving over to his desk. She let one of her fingers trace over the carving. "What's My Chemical Romance?" He just ran a hand through his hair and let out a deep breathe.
"It's our band."
"You mean those boys you hang out with?"
"No, it's with my billions of other friends."
"Smartass." Aussie snorted as she made her way over to his door. "Well, you've got your jacket back, I guess I should get going. Aussie looked over her shoulder and saw the slight bulge in the front of his pants. 'Maybe the little bed show wasn't such a good idea... ' Aussie watched as he held up one of his hands.
"Need a ride?"
"Why not."
