Chapter One

I really didn’t want to go out tonight, but my friends insisted. My boyfriend, of almost three years, and I had just broken up and I didn’t even feel like getting out of bed, let a lone going to a club. I was still in my sweats when Mel and Sara got there, so I just throw on some clothes that seemed nice and put on some mascara. When I walked out of the bedroom both of my girlfriends shook their heads at me and said fine.

After, watching Mel dance for an hour I turned to Sara and told her that I wanted to go home, but she persuaded to stay for a little while longer. Half an hour later Sara had joined Mel on the dance floor and I was left sitting at the table all alone. And just when I thought I couldn’t feel any worse in walked my ex with a new girl. I hated her already. She was tall, blonde, and beautiful. The only thing I didn’t feel jealous about was she was barely a B-cup, while I filed a C-cup with no problem.

After, what seemed like an eternity of watching them on the dance floor, Sara and Mel finally noticed them and came running to see how I was. They kept asking if I fine and if I wanted to go home and finally I shook my head yes. They said they would be right back that they had to pay the tab and get our coats so we could leave. As they walked away I heard them apologize and then they disappeared in the crowd.

I was just so shocked to see my ex with someone new already I didn’t even feel the person behind me tap me on the shoulder, but I definitely heard his voice as he whispered in my ear, “You look so much better than she does.” I immediately turned around to see who it was, but he already sat back in his chair and I couldn’t see his face.

“Who are you talking about?” I asked him still not able to see his face.

“The blonde dancing with what I would guess is an ex-boyfriend,” he answered in a deep and extremely sexy voice. He learned forward and I could clearly see his face, I immediately recognized who he was. He stuck his hand out and said, “My name is Vin and you are?”

“Um . . . my . . . name. Oh, I’m Angie,” I said like an idiot as I shuck his hand. “How did you know I was watching those two dance?”

“ I overheard you and your friends talking. If you don’t mind me asking did you two just recently break up?” he politely asked.

“Yeah, he broke up with me last week just three days short of our three-year anniversary. Hear I was thinking he was going to propose, but instead he says that he needs a break and it’s just too serious and it’s going to fast and he does love me anymore. Oh god,” I say as I realize that I’m on the verge of tears and rambling on in front of Vin Diesel, “I’m sorry I don’t mean to lay all of this on you.”

“It’s ok,” he replied as he put his hand down on mine and wiped away a tear that had fallen down my face. He leaned forward and whispered in my ear, “Your friends are standing behind you.”

“Huh?” I said as I turned around to see my friends standing there surprised at who I was talking to. “Oh right. Um . . . Vin these are my friends’ Mel and Sara. Mel, Sara this is Vin Dies...,” but before I could finish Sara interrupted with, “Of course we know who this is your Vin Diesel.”

“I such a big fan, I mean I’ve watched every one of you movies. I’m one your biggest fans, you have no idea. OOOWWW!!!” Sara yelled as Mel pinched her and told her to shut it.

Mel then looked at me and politely asked, “Are you ready to go?”

“Maybe we should stay a little longer and talk to Vin. I have so many questions . . . OOOWWW. Stop that!” Sara yelled again at Mel.

Vin laughed and said, “Actually I should be going it’s getting late and I have to do Leno tomorrow.”

“Oh, yeah we should get going also. I mean you’re right, it’s late, and I should get home.” I replied a little disappointed.

“I was wondering maybe I could get your number?” asked Vin.

“Sure,” I grabbed a napkin and got a pen from Mel. As I handed the napkin to Vin he whispered in my ear that he’d call me tomorrow and gave me a peck on my cheek. I grabbed my coat from Mel and smiled as I left him sitting at the table.
