She Talks To Angels
She Talks To Angels
AN: I had this idea last night, and it wouldn't leave me alone. Don't hurt me.
“You’re beautiful,” he murmured in his ear, his breath moist and hot in her ear.
“And you’re high as fuck,” she said just as smoothly, brushing him off of her shoulder.
“What does that have to do with you being beautiful?” he blinked his eyes, trying to focus on her.
“When it comes from you? Everything. You could think I’m beautiful now, come off this high and think I’m the most hideous thing you’ve ever laid eyes on.” He was leaning close to her again.
It could be the drugs, but her hair seemed to be the shiniest thing he’d ever laid eyes on. He longed to reach out and touch it, let it trail between his fingers. But this one looked feisty, and he thought she might see it as hair pulling.
And if she didn’t have a large, scary boyfriend, then she might pull his hair back. And she looked rough too. Not that he hated it when girls got rough. He just thought roughness had its proper place.
Where was he, now?
“What about when I come down?”
“When you come down, I doubt you’d be anymore tolerable than you are now.” She snorted. Brandon looked again at that clean, shining hair. He caught sight of her eyes, blue, blue, blue, and he had to inhale sharply.
“I think I’m leaving now.” She stood up off the couch, holding her small black purse tightly against her side.
Smart girl. You never knew what would come up missing at these parties. Money, drugs, booze, or someone’s virginity.
“Will I see you again?” he reached out and grabbed her arm. She shuddered and shook him off.
“I hope not.”

“Nudie? Nudie… NUDIE!” someone was shouting in his ear. He jumped. Okay, so now he was face down on Bam’s table. It looked like he’d been sleeping. He wiped some drool from the corner of his mouth and yawned.
“What?”
“God, what did you get into last night?” Bam wrinkled his nose and quickly shook his head. “Never mind, I don’t want to know. Just tell me if anything interesting happened.”
“Yeah,” Brandon sat up and ran his hand through his hair. “I think I fell in love.”
