Chapter Ten
"What do you mean you know?" I couldn't believe he had said that. Afterall if a woman tells you she loves you after some seriously hot sex, "I know" shouldn't be what you tell her. I didn't know what I expected him to say, but it sure wasn't that.
"Frank, I know you love me. I can see it in your eyes." He said as he kissed my fingers. My heart did a little flip flop at that. It was actually kind of romantic. He looked into my eyes and said "I love you too." My heart started to pound so hard, I couldn't hear anything, and little spots of light appeared before me.
"Frank? Hey Frank are you okay?" He sat up and gave me a small shake to get my attention.
"Yeah I'm fine. Did you say you loved me?" I asked him. I didn't look at his face because I was afraid I had heard him wrong. He put his hand on my chin and tilted it up to look at him,
"Yes you heard me right. I love you." He ducked his head down too, he seemed almost shy. Overcome by emotion I just laid my head on his chest and held him tightly. He hugged me back, running his hand through my hair and stroking my earlobe. After several minutes I heard him say
"Its stopped raining."
We stayed in bed untill I heard Mr. Karathanakis knocking on the door. Then I quickly got dressed and went down to get the extra key. After he had left, I saw Robbie had comedown stairs too.
"Well, I guess I'll see you later." I mumbled.
"You're leaving?" He asked with a hurt little boy expression.
"Yeah, I need to do some writing and get on some dry clothes." I tried to make a joke but he didn't laugh.
"I thought you would have dinner with me and spend the night."
"Well Robbie, I think I need some alone time." I was trying to be tactful, but even though we had revealed our feelings, I was even more afraid to be with him. It would hurt even more if he loved me and still cheated on me. "So I'll see you later." I quickly opened the door and ran to my place before he could stop me. Once I got inside I leaned against my door and sighed. "Oh God that man knows how to please a woman." Just thinking about him started the familiar throbbing between my legs. Ignoring it I headed for my laptop and started to write.
After an hour I gave up, I hadn't written anything. In fact all I had done was relived this afternoon with Robbie. I wanted him again. Once was just not enough. I went into the kitchen to eat but I wasn't hungry, well, not for food. "Come on Frank, forget about it do something else." I paced around the house looking for something to do, made my bed, cleaned the kitchen. But still I was aware of a sense of need to go to Robbie.
"Its just built up sexual frustration." I said to myself. "Great. Now I am talking to myself like a nutcase." In utter desperation to work off the excess energy I began to do situps and push ups. It didn't help. Cold shower, that'll do it. I turned all the way to the cold side and stepped in.
"Holy Shit!" I screamed. It sure did help, the drops of water were like little slivers hitting my skin, sex with Robbie was very far from my mind. I turned off the shower put on my robe and laid in the bed under the blanket. After my teeth stopped chattering, I started to get sleepy. The last thing I thought of before I went to sleep was how proud I was of myself. Proud that I had put Robbie out of my mind.
I woke up the next morning to his voice. "Frank, wake up!" He was shouting to me from his window. I covered my face with my arm.
"What do you want?" I called back to him.
"Just come out onto your terrace." He said back to me. I got up and pulled on a t-shirt and cut off jean shorts, no panties, and went out side. I gasped when I saw what he had done. My terrace was filled with plants and flowers, it was like there was a small forest up here.
"Oh my....Robbie, how did you do all this?" I asked with wonder.
"It wasn't easy but it was worth it. Mr. Naskos gave me the number for the guy who supplied these plants." I could hear him but I couldn't see him through the plants.
"How did you get it all up here?" I asked him.
"Over the bridge of course." He responded.
"The bridge?" Then I noticed him walking over a few boards placed between our terraces. "Be careful Rob." I said nervously. He smiled and jumped down in front of me.
"Ready for you breakfast picnic?" He asked.
"What? Uh sure." I replied warily and he led me over to a blanket that had several pillows on it. along with a basket of what I assumed held breakfast. We ate breakfast and chatted about the different plants and flowers. I could barely concentrate on the conversation because being so near to him was doing things to my body. Even looking at his hands made me think of how they moved on my body. I was just about to jump him when he said
"Frank we need to talk."
