Chapter Ten

NOTE: This is adapted from one of my favorite moments ever. Stephanie McMahon is originally the one in the ring for all this but in my story it's Alex. Okay. Just wanted to state where I got it from, it's not original, just adapted. On with le show.

Oh yeah, so no, I'm not saying this is how these people really are (you'll understand when you get there). But that's the personality I have given him and so there we go. I don't think he fully knows how dickish he can be. I think he cares about her, but he doesn't like not getting his way. He's one of those "Have their cake and eat it too" people.

"What is up your god damn asshole Dave?! You've been like this almost three weeks now, it's making me sick." It'd been going on for days. Dave, since the night he'd seen Alex with John, had been a pain in her ass. She didn't understand of course why he was mad, just that the day after John had slept with her on the sofa Dave had been extremely cold towards her. There were moments when she'd gotten him happy again, for example when she brought him ice cream to his locker room. But the second his mind had relived what he felt was her betrayal he'd gone cold again, and after yelling at him for about 15 minutes and much throwing, she'd left him with a mess on the floor to clean.

"Nothing Alex. Just fucking let me be mad huh? You should have other things to do anyways. Having sleep overs with John could be one of them."

"What the hell--"

He shot her a look, looking up from his boots. It felt good in a way, to know that she was bothered that much about why he was treating her differently. It took everything in him to not want to give in to her, "You know exactly what I mean Alex. You think you're getting the short end here? Try being me."

She shook her head, picking up one of his shirts from his bag and threw it at his face, wishing she'd had the nerve to throw something harder. "I can't fix anything if you don't tell me what the hell is bothering you. You always want stuff from me but you just don't come out and say it."

"Say it?! That's all I ever do!"

"Hey you two," Paul said, entering her dressing room, "Alex you're up in 30 or so minutes you know."

"Thanks. I'm... I'm going to gorilla to talk to Dad. I...." She kissed Paul's cheek quickly and after looking at Dave, who only looked away, she left her dressing room. Paul pointed towards the door, a sideways smile on his face.

"Hey man, if that is how you've been trying to get my sister-in-law, you've been going at it all wrong. She likes it when you treat her well, not when you treat her like shit."

"I'm not treating her like shit."

Paul laughed, "Then what the hell was that?"

"I... fuck, forget it Paul. What's going on?"

"I'm worried. Alex keeps saying Kurt keeps leaving without telling her and shit. I don't know what to do."

"Don't do anything. Better yet, talk to John, he'll be glad to help you."

"Stop being such a dick. Even if John has the hots for Alex, neither one of you can have her when she's with Kurt and anyways, you know why she's always going to have a hard time with you Dave."

Dave and Paul had this conversation before, one in which Paul told Dave to back off of her if he wasn't going to put her first. Angela and the girls weren't invisible hurdles. Amy wasn't invisible either. Paul first priority had always been Alex, he'd promised her the day she told him she was pregnant that he'd always be there, and it was a promise he had intended to keep. He loved Dave, but Alex came before him. Sometimes he worried about how much he cared for Alex, the moments in which he found her amazingly beautiful weren't his favorite. This didn't take away however from his loyalty to her.

"Paul I got that Memo."

"Anyways, that's not the only thing. Look I want to tell you before Vince tells Alex. We need to keep an eye out for her when he's here...."

~~~~
"Ready Alex?"
"Sure."
She could hear her music hit and she walked into the arena, completely in character. The dress helped, tight, black, and strapless. Short enough for her legs to enjoy some freedom and the heels that made everything look perfect. Everyone still in gorilla looked on, watching the monitors as she got into the ring, beginning her speech. John watched her walk about the ring, the crowd taking in every word she said. Without thinking of it twice, he walked to Vince, who's attention had been on the monitors. He was surprised to see John, "Yes?"
"May I speak with you a second sir?"
"Of course," Vince said, handing his giant headphones to Shane as he and John walked away from the crowd. "Something wrong John?"
"I would like your permission to attempt to date your daughter."
Vince had never heard anyone ask him that before, except for Paul. The words shocked him but he smiled. "You know Linda was hoping this would happen. And to be quite honest... so was I."
"Sir?"
"Call me Vince John, you've always been too proper. You'll have your hands full. You're not the only one after her and in all fairness, it might get a little harder soon."
The last part was a mystery to him but he smiled, "I can manage."
"Then you have my blessing then," he patted John back with a smile. "I have to say, none of Stephanie or Alex's boyfriends ever asked me for permission to attempt to date them, let alone date them. Well, maybe Paul. And actually... I have an idea if you're interested."
As Alex stood in the middle of the ring, taunting Sable and announcing that she would be seeing Sable in the ring at that month's PPV, John's music hit the speakers, genuinely confusing Alex. The crowd cheered as John approached the ring. She didn't expect it so she knew that if anything, she was selling her confusion pretty well. She watched enter the ring, a huge smile spreading on his face as he winked and continued passed her to the other side of the ring. She watched him as his music died down and she raised her mic to her lips. "John... what are you doing?"
"You?" Apparently the audience caught the tone he'd used, as they all laughed. She could feel herself turning bright pink as John, not missing a beat continued into his sudden freestyle about her.
In the back, Paul and Dave had arrived to gorilla, hearing John on the speakers. Paul grabbed Vince's arm who was laughing at the pink that spread over Alex's face as John described her assets. "Hey, what's John doing out there?"
"Testing Alex's improvising skills. Gotta say, she seems to be enjoying it."
Paul watched the monitor, as John came to the end of his rap, "Sable is just a hoe, you're a diva with class. Nobody's watching us Alex, why don't you let me smack dat--" He held up the mic as everyone yelled "Ass." As the crowd laughed and cheered, Alex's face allowed a smile to grow wide. He face teased her, awaiting her response. He'd pretty much just told Alex everything he'd been dying to say for months. He would have preferred to say it in private and in a much classier way but for now, this would do. Finally, she spoke, the crowd dying out to listen to her reaction.
"Wow John. That was very... poetic of you. In fact, why don't you put your money where you mouth is?" She winked at him as his face showed all the signs of being very in shock.
"Wait... Really?" He was pretty close to breaking character but the crowd didn't know it. They were cheering as Alex turned around, bending over enough to allow her bottom to poke out a bit from the very tight and short black dress she had on. She wiggled her hips side to side as she raised the mic to her lips.
"Well John? Going to chicken out? Come on now, don't be shy. You know you're dying to."
By now the crowd was demanding he take the chance and with a wide smile and a wind up, he slapped her bottom with as much force as possible. Her instincts took over as she blushed wildly and held onto her ass with a small jump into the air. She couldn't help herself, laughing hysterically at John's face with was mixed between disbelief he'd just slapped her ass and triumph. She felt herself wanting very badly to kiss him them, the adrenaline in her kicking in. Before she could act on it however, Sable's music hit and she was back in character faster than she could blink.
Backstage, everyone had found the whole bit hysterical except for two certain gentlemen. Kurt could barely hold in his dislike for the whole bit. He and Alex had just finished a big argument over the fact that Alex had finally turned down his proposal. She'd given it as much thought as she could, only concluding that it was quite too soon for it and privately she'd decided she wasn't too sure if she loved him, let alone trusted him. The fact that Vince, Paul and Shane were still not too pleased with her dating him made it worse. She did care for Kurt she had explained to him, but she wanted to slow down. He'd agreed. Alex didn't know it but she was right to do it. Kurt, though he cared for Alex, had a soft spot for ring rats. He quite good at hiding it also. He decided to wait in her dressing room, knowing that making a scene in front of Vince would be a bad decision.
Dave was barely able to watch the monitors. John was now back in gorilla, looking quite happy with himself. Vince had pulled John aside, patting his back with a laugh and now Shane was joining into the conversation obviously not bothered a bit. Dave wanted very badly to hit the happiness right off John's face.
When Alex returned to the back she was brick red and passed everyone to approach John and punch him in the arm as hard as possible. "Dick ass! That stung like a motherfucker."
Shane laughed, "Oh the mouth on my sweet little sister."
"Shut up."
"Hey," John said, holding his hand up, "I only did what I was told to do."
"Told?," Alex asked, looking confused, "Pray tell, whose idea was this?"
Vince raised his hand with a smile, causing everyone in the area to laugh. "Sorry kiddo. Just making sure you have improvisational skills."
"Oh well, I mean if that's the reason." She looked around catching Dave's look. He was cold. His eyes said it all, he wasn't pleased. She felt herself want badly to make him happy but nothing had been working until then and now she knew all she could do was allow him space. Kurt was of course no where to be seen. She started heading towards her dressing room but Vince and Shane stopped her.
"John, can we have a second?," Shane asked, motioning for Paul to join get off his cellphone and join them.
He looked a bit confused, but John nodded, rubbing Alex's arm before leaving. Alex didn't like the looks on their faces so she crossed her arms, "Okay... suddenly I have a very bad feeling so please don't hesitate to tell me."
Vince sighed, "Alex, we've wanted to tell you for some time now but we wanted to make sure it was happening and... we're going to have some visitors for about a month or two."
Alex felt her heart drop into her stomach, knowing exactly what they meant. She felt her heart pick up the pace as different things he had been telling her for the past three weeks made sense and she began to put two and two together. "Dwayne."
"And Mick. But yes Dwayne. Well, Mick is coming in for longer than Dwayne."
She shook her head, freaking out mentally, "What the hell you three?!"
"I'm your father Alex, watch it."
"Watch it? This is bullshit. When is this happening?"
"They'll be here for this month's Pay-Per-View and from then on," Shane said, putting one of his hands on his head, trying his best to calm his sister's temper.
"That's a week from now! A week. You guys are giving me a week to prepare to have him around 24/7? Write me out of the story lines, I'm going home."
With those words, Vince shook his head, using a strong tone as he spoke. "Alex, no. Im sorry we didn't tell you, it's a mistake on our fault. But we are not going to write you out and send you back. We need you here.... Alex look at me." Alex had never been one to go against Vince, only on rare occasions had she ever done things he didn't want her to. Looking up she caught a glimpse of their faces, all concerned, "Alex, can you handle it? Please? If not... you can go home."
She shook her head, taking a deep breath, "I'm being childish, sorry. I'm just a little stressed because of... um.... Lord see? Ignore me you guys. I trust you. Just do me one favor, don't pair me up with Dwayne or THEN we'll have a problem."
The all gave sighs of relief, taking turns hugging her softly, Vince and Shane teasing that it may be a good idea to have Dwayne and Alex pair up for a while. As Paul pulled her close he whispered into her ear, so that only she could hear him, "Don't worry. I'm here. I promised you I would be, I'm here."
The words melted her heart, she pressed her lips against his cheek before letting go, stopping to tell off her brother and father, then heading to her dressing room. Alex began to think about everything, putting it all together. She could almost sense the coming storms ahead.
Kurt was sitting in her dressing room, looking up as she entered, "Ready?"
"For?" His lack of reaction to anything surprised her, although not as much as the fact that he was waiting for her. They'd barely spent time together in the past weeks.
"Head back to the hotel. We're both done, I'm ready." He had a plan, a plan at making sure she wasn't thinking of anyone else that night. He still wanted to vent his anger at her, but he figured he had a good way of doing it.
~~~~

She laughed, feeling him push her down into the sofa. When Kurt wanted to be, he was very good at getting what he wanted from her, and in this situation, things were no different. He groaned sliding himself into her wetness without a second thought. She let out a deep grunt, he breathing quickening. Suddenly, she felt his fingers grab the back of her hair, pulling her head back. His voice was rough, grunting as he spoke, "Do you do this with John?"

The question was a shock, and the pleasure of the moment left her, "No."

"Don't lie to me," he said, pushing into her sharply, causing her pain, and not in a good way.

"Kurt, stop."

"Tell me."

Little by little, she began to feel more and more pain as she bit down on his shoulder, "No!"

"How about Dave? Think no one sees how he looks at you? Does he fuck you too?" As she lost pleasure in those moments, Kurt gained it in his power over her.

"Never."

"Amy's father?"

With that question, she bit him, harder than the first bite, "Fuck you."

Her temper flaring made him pump into her madly, without a rhythm. He came without her, taking deep breaths. At this point, Alex didn't care, wanting nothing more than to get him off her. She had wondered why he hadn't flipped out at her in the arena and now she had her answer. Alex slipped from under him, dressing quickly.

"Alex," he began but she shook her head.

"Fuck you. Fuck fuck fuck you." She turned to face him, pointing at the door, "I'm taking a shower and when I get out I expect you to NOT be here. You've pissed me off beyond belief." Without another word, she entered the restroom, trying her best to hold back tears.

~~~~
"Paul?" Her voice was so soft as he opened the door, finding her still wet from a shower, shaking from the air conditioning hitting her wet skin. "I... Can I stay here? Please?"
It occurred to him she hadn't slept in a bed alone with him since he'd married Stephanie. The way his heart began to beat worried him, but the look on her face, one of defeat and pain overpowered his better judgement. "Alex, what's going on?"
"I just... please. Don't ask. Just let me?"
He picked her up, carrying her into the room. He sensed instantly her weakness, the way her body had given into his instantly. It was a different feeling this time around from the last time he had held her at night. The last time she'd been 6 months pregnant with Amy, crying as she usually did during her pregnancy as she suffered from crazy mood swings. This time her body was back to it's small, athletic feel under his fingertips. He kept telling himself to relax, to hold his urges to do what felt right in those moments. He could feel his shirt grow a bit wet, her hair and quiet tears against him. He couldn't think of anything to say but he continued to hold her.
There was a difference between her body and Stephanie's. Stephanie had a strong body that made Alex's look weak in comparison but anyone who studied Alex knew just how strong her body was. It was a test of strength for him, to not act on hormones that had him going wild inside. They'd hidden attraction since the day he'd met her. She was 17 then, too young to even be considered and had a boyfriend she was, as she put it, "ga ga lovie dovie in love with." The boy had broken her heart, cheating on her with another girl. By then he and Alex had been secretly talking, he'd made her feel better by offering to fly in to "kill the dumbass."
Finally, silence was annoying him as curiosity crept in, "Alex?"
By now she'd calmed down and she looked up, a smile he knew to be fake creeping over her face. "Fine. Got in... ug...." She groaned, pulling on his shirt and covering her face.
"Dave?"
"Nah, he's pissed at me, can't you tell?"
"Well...."
"Kurt. He... I dunno it's not working out I guess...." He tone worried him, and he looked her over for bruises. "I think it's time to nip that one in the bud. I just... got frustrated. Did I worry you?"
With those words he began to play fight with her, listening to her laughter, "Did you? I swore you were dying or Amy was hurt. Don't do that shit kid, fucking scared me."
"Sorry!," she laughed, winding down. It felt good not to think about it anymore, to feel good again.
When the night of the Pay-Per-View came, she found Kurt, sitting in his dressing room before his match. She'd gone home for the week, to see Amy and think. He'd called countless times, but she'd always ignore the calls. Now, there was no button to press and make him go away. She'd been avoiding him all day, wanting to wait. But this was her revenge, especially after seeing what she had that morning in the hotel. "I went looking for you this morning," she began, leaning against the door frame.
"Alex... I've been trying to find you. I've called, Alex I'm so sorry."
"I heard. You must have been looking for me this morning too...."
"I was."
"Was the ring rat helping you? Or was she helping you... some other way?" The look on his face was priceless and she wished she had a camera to relive the moment when she told Matt, Eddie, Paul, Shane and Stephanie later. "Boy if that wasn't proof you missed me, I don't know what was Kurt. We're done. I'll tell my Dad it just wasn't working out. Have fun with your match tonight."
She left, without another word. She was reliving the moment over and over in her head, laughing at the dumb-struck look on his face. She rounded a corner in the hallways, heading to her dressing room to shower. Her match with Sable had gone well and it was right before Kurt's so was done for the night. That's when she saw him.
Dwayne had been walking around the back looking for her and there she was, still in her wrestling gear and sweaty as hell. If he wasn't in love with her before then, he was now. She stopped dead in her tracks, looking at him with blank eyes. She had to admit, she was sexually frustrated beyond belief. Had they not been standing in the open hallway, she'd have jumped him. He had just come from the arena and was missing a shirt and was covered in sweat. She smiled just a tad, remembering the way he used to hold her against his chest. As he smiled back, she felt the arms wrap around her waist, pulling her into a locker room. The spell was broken as she found John laughing. "So?"
"Did it. Boy you missed the best look on his face. You should have been there."
"Don't tease me Alex, you know I would have payed good money to see you call out the dick. What are you doing tonight?"
"I... sleeping?"
She could see the disappointment in his face, but he tried his best to hide it, "How about we drive together to RAW tomorrow?"
She had to admit, John was getting to her. She knew that fear held her back. He was too perfect- single and waiting. Unfortunately she didn't trust how perfect he seemed. Alex could only imagine deep down he would break her heart too, so instead of going with her feelings, she protected their friendship. In her heart, she was worried the friendship was growing into much more. "Got it."
Eventually the event was over and she and Paul got into a limo, heading back to the hotel. She rested her head against his shoulder, sore and tired, listening to Paul talk to Stephanie. His voice always had a way of calming her nerves and as he shut his cellphone, he took her face, patting it softly. "Telling Dave you left Kurt?"
"Shut up."
He laughed, looking away to hide his thoughts. "He'd wanna know."
"Nothing going on."
"Every time you say that, something happens."
"God damn you Hunter."
He laughed, knowing it was her way of referring to her old nickname for him. "Only you get away with calling me that." They stayed quiet for a while, Paul sorting out his feelings. Finally, he turned his body towards her, cupping her face in his hands. His sudden move startled her. She was close to him, but this movement wasn't like his usual nature. She tried reading him, tried her best to understand what he was doing until finally he spoke, his voice deep with a tone she couldn't read and that he knew came from his awareness of responsibility. "If you don't tell him, you'll never know what could have happened. Good or bad. Tell him. I'm not promising it'll work out, but do you really want to spend the rest of your life wondering if it would have?"
~~~~

She was pacing her hotel room, trying to digest Paul's words. She wanted to scream, knowing that he'd made a valid point. Finally she left her room, knowing where she was heading. In the hallway in front of the elevator she paced, in the elevator she paced. He heart raced with thoughts, with words she attempted to make into sentences that made sense. When the doors opened she heading down the hallway, trying her best to gain strength.

What she saw didn't necessarily. Dave stood infront of his door, a blond woman pressed between him and the door as she held his room key over her head. They were laughing softly between kisses. "Dave you're not doing a good job at taking the key back from me," she teased, pushing her body against his. Alex had seen enough then, recognizing her voice and as Dave brushed her hair off her face, she knew who the woman was, Sable. She went to leave when Dave saw her, catching a glimpse of her face as she went back around a corner. He didn't say a word, following after Alex. He could hear Sable calling his name with a concerned tone but it didn't matter to him as he called out for Alex.

Alex, whom had been walking towards the elevators, stopped dead in her tracks when she heard his voice approaching her. She didn't want to turn to face him and answered, with her back still to him, "Go back to her. It's rude to keep a lady waiting you know."

He was torn. He'd been upset with her for weeks. He wanted her to feel how he felt when her attention wasn't his but he hadn't wanted her to see him that night. He'd caught a limo with Sable to the hotel, they'd opened plenty of liquor. He hadn't planned it all. "Alex what are you... what are you doing here?"

She finally turned around, her face killing him. The tears were too much for him, silent and deadly as they rolled down her cheeks. The words she spoke were even deadlier. "I left Kurt. I was tired of pretending he was what I wanted."

Sable appeared behind Dave, obviously surprised to see her. Alex wiped away her tears as she spoke, faking a smile. "Hey Rena. Just needed to talk to Dave, didn't mean to interrupt. Please, go back to whatever you two were doing. You seemed pretty busy." She turned her back again, pressing the elevator button, stepping in and as the doors closed, she let out a huge cry. Frustration took over her body, wanting badly to feel good. She tried her best to grow strong, to not have to support herself on the walls of the elevator as she rode it to her floor. Finally she calmed herself and as she turned to exit, Dwayne's eyes caught hers.

"I...," was all he could say before he stopped. She didn't feel like fighting him and she walked quickly, throwing herself into his arms.

In her room her body desperately wanted his. Dwayne couldn't help himself, not taking any time to pull her tank top off her body. He could feel her fingertips softly running over his back. There were so many things he wanted to say, but the things he wanted to do took president. She had to admit, it was amazing to her to be once again in his arms. Alex was surprised by how natural it felt to have him against her, his muscles flexing against her as he rubbed against her body. It'd been a long time since they'd kissed that way, since their lips took enjoyment in one another. Eventually, he wanted more as he felt her hands pulling off his shirt without a pause. Her breasts became his new obsession, as he leaned down to explore one of her nipples that had escaped her bra.

It'd been a while since his tongue had been in that spot and she groaned happily. He could feel her shaking from the feeling, making his insides rumble. He tried to remember to weaknesses, taking a bite at the other nipple, now exposed. She tasted the same, the sweet skin he'd remembered from years before. The day in the office, though he'd gotten to relieve the moments he'd lost, it wasn't enough. He wanted her naked, he wanted her to be completely his. Her groaning was driving him nuts, he tried to memorize then in case he should lose that moment. His hands were behind her back, unhooking her bra and pulling it off, throwing it aside.

Alex's hands were trying their best to push down the basketball shorts he had on. She couldn't explain what had taken over her, she only knew that this was what she wanted. His lips on her skin were killing her. He held her sides sliding down to her hips, pulling down the shorts she had on. It left a pink thong, bright against her tanned skin which seemed to have no tan lines. The idea that she tanned naked was exciting and he was growing restless. She could feel him, still in his boxers, pressing against her. As the clothes came off, there was less material between them. Finally, his hands tugged on her thong, pulling them down her thighs and she did the rest, raising a leg up to allow her leg to escape their hold. Alex decided to use her feet, pushing down on his boxers until she felt it.

Her bare skin finally against his was more than enough to get him going. It'd been ages since her body was exposed to his eyes and he looked down for an instance, taking it in. She was just as fit as then, although her breasts had grown atleast one more size. Her tummy was flat as a board, he suddenly regretted never having been able to place his hands on her pregnant belly but her frustrated voice broke him out of it. "Damn it Dwayne."

He laughed, pressing his face to hers. Her hands cupped his cheeks, eyes black and deep passion. "I won't make you wait," he said, pushing into her. The feeling shook them, both letting out loud grunts. She wrapped her legs around his waist, keeping him in her for a couple seconds longer. Finally she let go, letting him begin a small rhythm. He was completely inside her, his length familiar. "God," she said softly into his neck, biting down softly. It was what for years she'd missed, his body sliding in and out of her. She could feel his breathing increase as he pumped faster and faster. She could feel it. The passion building into a ball inside her. Though Kurt had been good, he was nothing compare to Dwayne. Dwayne, who knew her body better than anyone. Finally, it was all coming in a wave, she felt him shaking inside. "Cum Alex. Fuck, cum!" She was luckily right there with him, letting go as she felt him spilling into her. The release let go of all the pain inside her body, all she felt was bliss.

They were back where they used to be, but it didn't mean things were better.
