“I should probably go back to the airport so I can get home,” Carrie said.
“Of course,” Benny said opening the door for her. After they both were all situated. Benny drove her to the airport. They arrived and Benny opened the door for Carrie. She hugged him.
“Thank you Benny.”
“Not a problem Carrie.” Benny said. “You take care ok?”
“I will thanks.”
“If you need anything call ok?” Carrie nodded her head and he continued, “I don’t know why she did this but I know she loves you. Hold onto that cause I know you love her.”
“Thanks Benny,” Carrie said. “I have to go see if I can get a flight back to Nashville.”
“Come here,” Benny said pulling Carrie into a hug. “It will get better.” Carrie pulled and smiled at him. She headed toward the counter.
“Hi I need a flight to Nashville.”
“There’s some open spaces on a flight at 9:35 tonight if that’s ok?” the woman asked.
“Yeah that’s fine. Thank you.” The woman smiled and handed Carrie her ticket.
“Ok you flight will leave from gate D5.”
“Ok thank you,” Carrie said taking the ticket walking toward the gate. She sat down in the chair she had about 6 hours to kill. *What did I do?* She pulled out a pencil and pen and slowly started writing down her thought.
Back at the Arena
“Are you ok?” Danny asked.
“No I screwed up. I don’t think I’m meant for love.” Kelly said wiping away tears.
“What happened?”
“I slept with Graham, Carrie came in and saw. I screwed up the best thing in my life!”
“Kel, it will be ok.”
“No it won’t. I crushed her. You know the weirdest thing is when I slept with him the only person I could think about was her. I know it doesn’t excuse what I did or even make sense. But God I don’t know I’m so stupid.”
“Kel you made a mistake,” she looked at him, “ok a big mistake but everyone makes them. You were lonely and you missed her. It doesn’t make it right but give things time.”
