Carrie pov.





Carrie stood by the front door watching her wife jump up and down on the spot as she waved at her brother. She was glad seeing her brother was making her so happy, she only hoped when she found out the news she wouldn't freak out much.



'Hey girls......' Carrie gave him a wave as Kelly jumped into his arms. 'oww... miss me or something..'



'Course not....' Kelly held onto her brother as long as she could as he tried to hug Carrie too.



'Think she missed me...' Jason laughed as he followed Kelly into the house. By the time Carrie made it in Jeanne was already downstairs and giving her son dirty looks. Thankfully Kelly wasn't noticing any of it as she busied herself round the kitchen.



'So the baby jas.....he's so cute....isn't he car......' Carrie nodded along with her wife as she watched Jason's face pale.



'Looks nothing like Ashley though....' Jeanne said as she looked directly at Jason. ' must be like the father......'



'He has Ashley's nose....'Carrie corrected.



'If you think so.....but im sure he's a lot like his father......' Jason and Carrie sat uncomfortable in their seats as Jeanne went on. ' Who ever his father is....'



'Mom...don't start...' Kelly warned. ' it's none of our business....'



'But she must have told you......your her best friend......you must know...' Carrie felt like choking the older woman.



'Kelly said it's none of our business.......'



'Im just saying...Kelly must know....'



'Actually I do......' All eyes turned to Kelly.



'You do?....' Carrie asked.



'Yes...she told me a few months back....i promised not to tell.....'



;And who is he.......'Jason asked carefully. Kelly turned in her seat to look her brother right in the eye.



'She wouldn't want me to say........I'm going to get dressed.....' Kelly left the kitchen. No one spoke until they heard the bedroom door shut quietly.



'She knows' Jason said.



'And she didn't tell me.......' Carrie sat looking at the kitchen door.



'So your the father I take it?.....' Jeanne stood.



'Yes mother.....im the father......' Jeanne shook her head as she walked out the room.



'I have to talk to Kelly.....'Jason sat alone as Carrie went after her wife.





Kelly's pov.





Kelly knew Ashley would be mad that everyone knew, she had promised her best friend she wouldn't tell a soul about the baby's real father. Not even Carrie. The blond had looked so hurt when Kelly left the room, she knew she would be in any second to get the truth from her. As if on cue Carrie walked into the room closing the door behind her.



'You lied to me.....'



'And you lied to me...' Kelly watched as Carrie shook her head. ' you did....last night you knew and didn't say a word....'



'Last night?......Kelly you've known for months.....ive asked you if you knew and you promised me you didn't....'



'It wasn't my place to tell....'



'Your my wife....' Carrie shouted. ' we shouldn't be having secrets....'



'Well that's rich.....' Kelly walked away from Carrie into the bathroom. ' So you don't have secrets?...' Kelly shouted in from the bathroom.



'We aren't talking about me here......you lied to me for months.......'



'That's not answering my question....' Kelly came back out of the bathroom with her clothes on.



'Kelly.....'



'No ....not Kelly.....do you have secrets?....'



Im not cheating on you......ive never cheated on you......i never will cheat on you........i dont know how to say it any clearer..... Carrie grabbed onto Kelly's arms. ' I don't know how I can convince you........' Kelly wiggled her arms out of her wifes reach.



'Maybe I can't be convinced......'





Carrie's pov.





Carrie looked around her office as she waited for the computer to load up, Kelly had done everything but push her out the bedroom, she could still hear the shorter blond in the room next to her. As she signed onto the chatroom the name she was looking for was already their.

Carrie started the chat like she would every other time.

Kelly rushed around the kitchen trying her best not the burn it down, it would be the first time she would be cooking her girlfriend dinner and she wanted it to be perfect. She still had the towel on from the shower she just had as she ran around trying to prepare everything. She now knew there was a reason she never cooked.



'Kelly?......' Wrapping the towel around her tighter she prepared herself for Carrie's entrance. ' what are you doing?....'



'Trying to cook you dinner.....' Kelly blew the strand of hair out her face. 'trying being the right word......'



'And why would you inflicted that sort of pain on me?.....' Carrie dodged the tea towel being thrown at her.



'It's our anniversary......I was trying to be romantic......' Carrie reached out pulling Kelly to her.



'And the reason for the towel?' she ran her hands over Kelly's back.



'Didn't give myself enough time to get ready......' All Carrie could do was smile at how cute her girlfriend was looking at the moment.



Kelly finally got dinner onto a plate, she wanted to completely be in control of everything so Carrie sat at the table and let her do it. A big mistake when Kelly put the plate down in front of her.



'What?...is it?'



'Fish......'



'and the white stuff?' Carrie poked the fish with her fork.



'Sauce....'Kelly looked down at her own plate. ' it's horrible isn't it?'



'Baby it's just......'Kelly could feel the tears coming. 'Kel....please don't cry.....' Carrie reached out but Kelly pulled away running out of the room in tears.



Carrie cleared the table before going off to find her girlfriend, she found her sitting in the tree house out back.



'Im a horrible girlfriend.' Kelly confessed. ' I mess everything up.....'



'Baby you dont....' Carrie tried not to laugh. ' it's only dinner .....we can order pizza....'



'No...' Kelly wiped her tears away. ' it's our one year anniversary....i wanted it to be perfect.......I just suck at this.....'



'You do not....'



'I do....'kelly complained. ' I can't make you happy....' Carrie slipped her hand into her pocket.



'That's where your wrong......' She held the ring out in front of her. 'Marry me?'



'Car?......'



'It wasn't supposed to happen till later tonight......but you seem so sad now....' Kelly shook her head as more tears came.



'Damn it....i can't even do this right.....'Reaching into her own pocket Kelly pulled out a ring. ' I was going to do it after dinner. ' They both looked down at the rings in front of them, both smiling they placed the rings on each others fingers. It took another two hours before they both realised none of them had said yes yet.

Carrie let out a sigh of relief at her wifes answer.

Carrie knew she was crossing a line by sneaking around like this but she needed to know what was inside her wifes head.

Lonelywife-(i begged him to find someone else but he wouldnt)

Lonelywife-(i called the hotel he was staying in and the woman answered)

Carrie's heart began beating faster.

Carrie thought about the female assistant she had hired last year, Kelly had hated her from the start. She added up the dates and realised it was about the same time things started going wrong.





Kelly pov





Kelly lay against the bed, her chat online had drained her. She had gave away more than she wanted to but it felt good admitting it finally. Ashley didn't even know about the assistant. She watched as Carrie entered the bedroom again.



'your mother and Graham have gone to lunch....'



'Jason?....' Kelly whispered.



'Looking at pictures of the baby.....he's coming to see him with us.....' Kelly nodded, she watched as Carrie lay down.



Hope she picks a name for him soon.......'



'Come on tour with me....'Carrie interrupted.



'We talked about this.....'



'Come on tour with me....'Carrie repeated a little more forceful this time.



'I'll just get under your feet.....' Kelly tried to brush her off.



;You wont...I just dont want to be stuck on the bus with the band and assistants......It would be good if you came. ' Kelly flinched at the word assistant.



'I'll think about it....'



'Good...'Carrie smiled.
