When Zac Met Jack


It had been two months since Zac had found out about Jack. He and Nikki were slowly starting to get to know each other again and go out on a couple of dates, after Jack had locked both of his parents in Amanda’s huge walk in closet.

Unfortunate for the two of them, the closet only locked from the outside. Therefore, they ended up trapped until Jack had let them out and had opened the door to find his parents in a passionate embrace. Before they had talked without arguing, Nikki had threatened to ground Jack until he was thirty.

Jack had laughed mockingly and replied, “I’ll take my chances, if it means my parents can at least be civil towards each other. I have had enough of your fighting, as has everyone else. I need my parents, both of you. And if this is the only way to do that, then so be it.”

Zac looked at Nikki incredulously, as he asked, “Whoa, are you definitely sure he is only nine years-old?” Nikki had snorted and rolled her eyes. She knew exactly what he meant. Jack was far too clever and quick for his age and his own good.

She said, “In age and years yes, mentally no. Mentally I swear he is nine going on thirty.” Zac snorted at this and shook his head in disbelief. Nikki claimed Jack got his sly and underhanded antics from him, as she would never do anything like locking someone up in a closet with someone else.

She had grumbled that their son had inherited not only his looks, but many of his traits as well and not all of them were desirable and drove her up the wall.

Zac could not suppress the smirk that graced his face, when he had listened to Nikki bitching about some of the things Jack like to get up to. He felt a smug satisfaction, that Jack was a lot like him, and that half of the time it drove Nikki mad.

A lot had been happening the last two months. Nikki’s divorce papers had gone thought and she was legally divorced from Daniel and had officially changed her last name back to just Blonsky, much to Zac’s secret delight. Nikki and the others took relish in reading about how Bonnie was a marriage and family wrecker. Her personal life turned into an all out mockery.

Brittany had confirmed she was four months pregnant with her fiancé Curtis Holbrook’s baby. They had even set a wedding date. They were going to be getting married in June next year.

Amanda had finally given birth to her sons, Stephen who was the oldest by ten minutes and Sheldon the youngest by ten minutes. Both looked like Elijah and had his dark hair, but had Amanda’s mouth and her nose. Their skin was darker then Amanda’s, but much lighter then Elijah’s.

Everyone kept wondering why Amanda and Elijah had waited so long to marry and start a family. They had been dating since they were twenty-one and now at thirty, that was nine years ago. They after a two-year engagement were only finally starting to arrange for a New Years day ceremony.

A much to Amanda and Brittany’s delight, Adam invited the whole Hairspray cast to stay at his large two-story house in Manhattan for a whole weekend and a cast reunion at the end of the month.

The cast, they were instructed by Adam to invite their spouses and children. Adam claimed he loved to have his cast of actors back and allow their spouses and children to get the low down on what exactly happened on that shoot ten years ago.

Nikki had called a head, letting Adam know she and the others would definitely be coming. Nikki had cringed when Adam had expressed his disappointment in her for Keeping Jack away from them, Zac especially for the past nine years.

Zac had called Vanessa, asking permission to take Layla and Michelle for the weekend at the end of the month. Because he, along with the others, received an invite to a cast reunion for Hairspray, and their children received an invite as well.

Vanessa had reluctantly agreed and even more reluctantly agreeing it would give the girls a chance to meet their older half brother. Vanessa saw pictures of Jack. She felt stunned by the staggering resemblance between father and son. There was no denying who his father was. He could have been a much younger version of Zac.
