Love Knows No Time
Chapter 10
Claimer: I do own Aleera and the idea for this story
Chapter Ten
"It's so wonderful to be with you all again," Daisee said, smiling brightly at Matt, Val and Michelle.
"We missed you terribly," Marie added.
"Where have you two been all of these years?" Val asked.
"Looking for you," Daisee replied. "Well, Master James actually, but we missed all of you."
"But luckily, he found us not too long ago and helped us get a beautiful apartment in the city," Marie said, "he comes to see us every night that he can."
"We thought was going out and partying every night," Matt said.
"Sometimes he does that and takes us with him," Daisee said, smiling.
"But he's not here." Marie said.
"He'll be back soon," Val said. "Why don't you show them to his room, Michelle?"
"I can do that," she replied, standing up.
"He won't mind, will he?" the girls asked, standing as well.
"No, he won't mind," Michelle said, smiling at them. "In fact, he'll be tickled pink."
"Why would he be pink?" Daisee asked, confused.
"Never mind," the other woman said, shaking her head and gesturing for the two girls to follow her from the room.
They eagerly followed her, still chatting away happily.
When they where gone, Matt looked at his wife.
"Where they always this happy?" he asked.
"Yep, they where," Val replied. "They never let the fact that their families sold them to us get them down."
"True."
"Where did Brian and Aleera run off to anyways?"
“He took her over to the house,” he said, picking up the TV remote and turning the TV on.
“What house?” Val asked.
“Remember the house we lived in back in London?”
“What year?”
“Nineteen nineteen.”
“Oh, I loved that house. It was so beautiful, especially the garden.”
“Yeah, that one, anyways, Brian had it rebuilt over here,” Matt said, flipping through the channels.
“Why’d he do that?”
“Anniversary present.”
For a moment, Val sat staring at her husband while he stared at the TV.
“Somethin’ bothering you, babe?” he asked, not looking at her.
“No, I was just thinking,” she replied.
“Hmmm.”
For a while they sat in silence, Matt watching one show for a few minutes before changing the channel and Val watched her husband.
“Tell me what’s bothering you, Valary,” he said, breaking the silence.
“I was just thinking that for our anniversary you had that silver ring made for me and Brian had a house built for Aleera,” she replied.
“You love that ring,” he said, looking at her.
“I do,” she replied. “But I’ve never wear it, and Aleera got a house she’ll use. I mean they’ll probably move out of here and into the house.”
“They’re not leaving us any time soon,” Matt said, shaking his head. “Brian said it’s their “get away” house.”
Satisfied with his answer, Val settled in next to him to watch whatever it was he was watching until he said quietly. “And your sister is another story entirely.”
“What did you say?” she asked, looking at him.
“Nothing,” he said, not looking at her.
Casting a suspicious glance at her husband, Val settled back again but was still wondering what he had said.
