Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm glad you say that because it's what I love about her. I think John is the only one so far that has kinda seen that Alex herself really has no clue what she's doing. Somewhere along the line I like to think she convinced herself she doesn't deserve to be happy. Or that she just causes people pain. I think Amy is the one person she knows she can love and will love her back no matter what but the whole Dwayne situation tainted her idea of what she deserves. I love how complicated she is because she reminds me of me. I make decision without thinking and when I want ONE thing I do another. Dave is kinda the same which is why I like him too. John like I said is just waiting for the day she sees she's floundering and wasting time and cutting herself short. Dwayne I think at this point is beginning to see that he may have lost her for good although neither wants to admit it. Paul I think is the most interesting right now because they both have alot they never got to say or do and really, there's no place for any of it to happen without hurting themselves and others. No matter how much they say they tell each other, they are still hiding secrets. There's ALOT of secrets they haven't told each other.
I have no concrete ending to this. So stay tuned! I promise the more you read, the more I write!

The HBK stuff was just for you. I have it in my head Alex has dated her fair share of stars, but the relationships are short lived, one night stands, or just friendship with some loving on the side. I will touch on more of them later on but for now I'll keep adding little hints of HBK for you. Especially in the next chapter or two.
