"That's why it hurts so bad to hear the words

That keep on falling from your mouth."

"Long time no see," Jason laughed as Kelly plopped down on the couch beside him.

"Studio," Kelly replied, tiredly. The lack of sleep from the night before was finally catching up to her.

"That bad?"

"No, it was great, actually," she replied, stretching out and placing her feet on his legs.

"Excuse me?" he said, eyeing them wearily.

"Please," Kelly pouted.

"I so do not get paid enough for this," Jason sighed as he started to rub her feet.

"Whatever," Kelly laughed. "We're sitting on a couch in a house that says otherwise."

"This is a nice house," Jason smiled, looking around the living room.

"So what's on the agenda for tonight?"

"You have a meeting with Michael at five," Jason replied.

Kelly laughed softly.

"What?"

"Carrie just dropped me off," she explained. "She might as well have just stayed over here. We're closer to the hospital than she is."

"You two seem to be getting along well," he commented.

"Yea, she's a cool girl," Kelly sighed, sinking further into the couch. "Real sweet."

"Does she--"

"Jay, no. You know the rules. You can't date anyone I'm working with."

"Well then, does she have a sister?"

"Um, I'm not sure, actually," she laughed.

"Find out?"

"I'm not making any promises."

"That's good enough for me," he smiled.

Kelly shook her head at her brother. Some things would just never change.

"So, depending on how this meeting goes tonight, you have a good nine days off, minus a few over the phone interviews," Jason informed her. "Wanna go home?"

"Definitely," Kelly nodded.

Carrie yawned from where she was sitting in the hall, she pulled her knees up close, placing her head down as her eyes closed. The effects of the previous night finally catching up with her.

Kelly smiled as she noticed the country singer falling asleep. She never even heard Kelly as she walked towards her. Kelly stopped on the side of Carrie, reaching out with her foot and poking her in the side, causing her to jump.

"Hey sleepy head," Kelly grinned as Carrie grumbled back, rubbing her eyes. "Trying to catch up on some sleep?" she asked, sliding down the wall to sit next to her.

"Yea," she nodded, yawning.

"Doesn't look like it's going very well."

"Yea, well that's what happens when you have crazy people walking around, kicking everyone," she teased.

"That wasn't a kick."

"No?" Carrie laughed.

"Think of it more as a love tap," Kelly smiled, innocently.

"Love tap my--"

"Hello ladies," Michael greeted as he opened the door. "Huh?" he said looking around the hall, before noticing them on the side of him on the floor. "Oh," he laughed. "I knew I heard you two."

"Yea, Carrie does tend to have a big mouth at times," Kelly agreed, earning a playful push from her as they stood.

"So, I've got the photos, and I picked the ones that we're planning on using," Michael explained. "I just wanted to run them past the two of you first."

Carrie nodded, walking past him as he held the door open. Kelly was right behind her, but paused briefly, something catching her attention.

"New cologne?" she asked.

"Um, yes," he blushed slightly, readjusting his tie.

Kelly gave him the once over. Something about him just looked different. His normally messy hair was styled, and his usually wrinkled shirt was ironed. Either he got him a woman, or he's trying to, Kelly thought to herself as she sat in the chair next to Carrie.

"They really came out great," Kelly smiled as the two singers stood, both happy with the choices made.

"Yea, I'm sure the campaign will be exactly what y'all are hoping for," Carrie agreed.

"We'll see you later," she nodded.

"Um, actually, I was wondering," Michael said, coughing to try and hide the shakiness of his voice. "If I could talk to Carrie for a minute...alone, that is?"

"Um..." Kelly began, turning to Carrie who shrugged. "Sure."

Kelly wasn't sure why she was pacing. She usually only paced when she was nervous, and there was no reason for her to be nervous. The office door opened, and Carrie walked out, looking rather at a loss.

"Everything ok?" Kelly asked.

"He, uh, he asked me out?" Carrie replied, unsuredly, still trying to get over the shock of it.

"Oh, ok, um, did you...I mean, what'd you say?" Kelly asked, suddenly wishing she hadn't. There was something deep in her stomach telling her that she did not want to know the answer to that question.

"I...I think I said yes," Carrie said, looking up at her, nervously awaiting her reaction. She wasn't sure why she had agreed to the date. It all had happened so fast. Honestly, it kinda took her off guard. Even more, she wasn't sure why she was nervous about Kelly's reaction in the first place.

"Oh."
