The First Time I Heard His Voice

Elvis held on to me as we slid out of the tub. I shivered before he slipped his fancy blue velvet robe on me. He smiled and blinked. "You let me be nude around you!" He poked fun.

I laughed and nodded. "Now lets go get clothes on." I whispered starting to walk out a bit nervous around him. He grabbed my hand and began to kiss me gently. "Go lie down...get good rest." He whispered stroking my cheek.

I smiled softly and pouted. "But what about you?" I asked a bit worried.

He chuckled. "I'm going to get tomorrow set up. We're going somewhere special." He told me stroking my hair.

He kissed me. "Now go on." He whispered patting my rear.

"Get good rest." He added as I slipped out blushing deep.

I ran upstairs and laid down. I could only imagine what he was planning. I sighed softly and looked down shaking my head. I yawned and stretched as I curled under the blanket. I wondered what he could plan as I slowly closed my eyes and drifted into sleep.

Early the next morning I found myself curled up in his car as he drove. He looked over. "Well good morning darlin." He said with a soft smile on his lips.

I nodded and smiled. "Good mornin." I whispered sitting up stretching.

I took in a deep breathe and sighed softly. I began to realize we weren't near home. "Where are we going?" I whispered to him with a soft sigh.

He chuckled and shook his head. "You'll find out soon enough." He told me with a soft smile.

I hated secrets...I looked out of the window and blinked. We were out by fields of flowers. Beautiful colors

He finally parked out in the middle of a field and helped me out. He smiled and kissed me gently. "It's beautiful here isn't it." He whispered.

I nodded looking around as he took me to the top of a hill covered in lilacs. He sat me down and smiled softly. "It's lovely isn't it? It's calm and sweet." He told me before sitting down.

"But...this isn't my life. My life is hectic and crazy. Loud and insane." He told me taking my hands.

"I can give you a peaceful life...but I'll be the loneliest man in the world." He whispered.

"Or I can bring you into all my chaos..." He pulled me into a kiss.

I gently kissed him back as I stared up at him. I didn't understand what he was talking about. "It'll be insane...but you'll be with me." He whispered softly.

I tilted my head and blinked. "What are you talking about?" I whispered with a soft chuckle gently stroking his cheek.

He stroked my hair and smiled. "Love me tender...love me sweet." He began to sing.

"Never let me go." He whispered hugging me tightly.

"You have made my life complete...and I love you so." He sang as he pulled me into his lap.

He sang to me and I sighed happily snuggling into him.

I loved listening to his voice. "This is the song that I heard you sing on TV the day we met." I whispered to him as he smiled.

"Love me tender, love me dear. Tell me you are mine. I'll be yours through all the years, till the end of time." He sang.

I blushed deeply and stared up at him. "Love me tender, love me true. All my dreams fulfill. For my darling...I love you...and I always will." He whispered into my ear before putting a box into my hands.

He slowly opened it and I stared with shock seeing the beautiful ring. I stared frozen in shock. "I understand if you don't accept..." He whispered slowly shutting it down.

I opened it back and nodded. "I will!" I cried with wide eyes as I turned to hug him tightly.

He sat frozen and smiled softly. "Even with all the press?" He whispered.

I nodded. "I want to be with you more than anything in the world. You've saved me so many times and I owe you everything." I whispered softly.

"I love you more than anything." I whispered to him.

He smiled softly and got up picking me up and spinning me around.

My life changed from the moment he picked me up from the cold rainy night. I could never imagine my poor life turning into something so beautiful. The press seemed to attack at the fact he had kept me hidden for so long, but our wedding was quiet and peaceful. The moment he kissed my lips with his own soft ones, sent shivers up my spine just like the first time I heard his voice. My life was finally complete.
