Bass Players Convention
A/N: Woo! Two updates in one day! Here goes trying to get a third new chapter up! *crosses fingers* Also mention of Chris in the chapter comes from the first of my reviewbies to be mentioned. Chris is taken from my new friend, Little_Miss_ Disaster. Check out her stories, they're great! Also I'm adding in more bands, so keep your eyes peeled! Now for the chapter, and off to work on the next one! *hugs*

Rebecca opened the front door and was greeted by a new guy who looked to be about her age. She raised an eyebrow as he held the door open for her to walk by, carrying bags of groceries that she had picked up for herself on the way back from class. Although the weirder reaction came when the guy turned and called out to who she could only think to be her brother.
“Nope, it’s just your sister, Pete. I don’t know where he’s at. He said he had some business today, but he didn’t say what. ... Oh, hi, I’m Adam T. Siska. Or Siskey, really. You’re Pete’s sister, Rebecca, right?”
She laughed and nodded at the introduction walking back towards the kitchen to put up the groceries. She turned her head over her shoulder, giving him a smile in hopes that he wouldn’t think her to be rude or such. She put down the bag heavily and turned back to hold out her hand, smiling.
“Becca, and yes, I’m Pete’s sister. Nice to meet you. So, just because I’m a little too curious for my own good, what band and instrument? Because I’m sure that you’re somehow in the same business as the lunatic I happen to have as a brother.”
Rebecca busied herself with putting away her groceries as she chatted. Pretty soon the house would be overrun with Pete’s friends and bandmates, and she would rather not be caught in the middle of it. They tended to get rather rambunctious at times, particularly when they decided to play something together. Then it was just a total mess.
“So you don’t keep up with the popular scene? Nevermind. I play bass in The Academy Is.”
“Right! That’s where you reminded me of. You cut your hair is all. I think we may have sorta met before, while I was out with Pete for some stuff. I’m awful at remembering people, anyways. Hopefully I won’t flub up next time.”
“Well that’s good to know. I would hate to think that Pete’s own sister didn’t keep up with the music business. That would be interesting.”
“I keep up with it. Sometimes I even point out bands to Pete. It makes for great bragging rights at school. ...... No, I hate having people point me out as Pete Wentz’s little sister. It gets weird.”
“Becca, there you are! I was wondering when you would be getting home. Do you know where Mom put my old notebooks and stuff? I think she said something about cleaning out the closets.”
Rebecca smiled at Pete as he walked into the kitchen, asking her about something around the house. She shook her head and went about preparing a quick snack that she could easily take up to her room to hide out from the mass of guys who would surely be swarming the house.
“Nope, I don’t know. Did you check in the basement with the rest of your junk? She probably put it down there like she does everything else. So, Petey, how many people should I be ignoring tonight? That way I know how loud to turn up my music, or whatever else I’m doing.”
Rebecca laughed as Pete walked over to see what she was making, making a slight groaning noise as he saw what it was. She turned back to lean against the counter, grinning at her brother as a few other guys walked into the room.
“Pete man, there you are. Any idea what’s going on? I would hate to think I left Chris in that hotel with nothing to do just to be waiting around here. I certainly don’t want to be on the receiving end of anything she might throw my way.”
Rebecca smiled as she recognized the two guys who had walked in (one from just knowing the band, and the other being a new friend). She turned to her brother with a smirk. This was quite interesting.
“Hey Jon, nice to see you again. And you’re Mikey, right? I’m a fan of your band. I’m Rebecca, the unfortunate sister of Petey here.”
“Yeah, this is Becca, my baby sister. And why don’t you just bring Chris over? I’m sure Becca wouldn’t mind having company.”
“A new friend? Sure! Anything beats the bass players convention you seem to be hosting. Besides, I’m sure there are plenty of things that I could come up with that might be more interesting than sitting around in some hotel room. Are you all here for the Decaydance / Clandestine expansion Petey has been so worried over?”
She laughed at the slightly dumbfounded look she got from some of the guys at her question. So maybe it was a bit of a shock to them to think that she could get just about any information out of her brother, including his top secret business dealings. She shook her head, still laughing and walked over to give her brother a quick kiss on the cheek.
“Well, it was nice to meet you Siskey, Mikey. Good to see you again, Jon. And now I’m going to go type up some notes for my Literature class. I meant it when I said you should just bring your girl over. I could certainly use more female company as I have a feeling that I’m going to be overrun with testosterone before the week is over.”
Rebecca headed up the stairs, laughing to herself as she heard Mikey saying something to Pete about being right back. It seemed that she would be meeting someone else tonight. That might make the week more interesting.
