‘Another one going in the ground’ she thought as she sat there in the dress he had bought her last Christmas it was a Lip Service Long Spider Web Dress from Hot Topic. The sleeves were spider web mesh and long it hung to her ankles and her shoes we also from Hot Topic, they were Demonia Black and red Ribbon heel, with the heels standing 5” tall. Her hair hung down her back and her makeup was black eye shadow, mascara, and black eye liner with Deep Deep red lipstick.

“ would anyone like to say a few words?” asked the Minister and Nerissa Stood up and walked to the podium.
Gerard was sitting in the front row with everyone else watching her.

Nerissa Cleared her throat and spoke :
“Jack was my best friend my whole life. He has been though more with me than anybody can imagine. He was my life. He was my best Friend, He was my soul mate in many ways.” She started getting Chocked up and tears started falling down her face. Her mom come up to try to get her to sit down but Nerissa pushed her away.
“ The way Jack’s life ended was partly my fault. But entirely the fault of someone else. I have read the Police reports and they claim he committed suicide, that is a lie. Jack would never take his own life for the simple fact that he knows what it would do to mine. I will not stand here and tell you he was a perfect saint, because he was not. Everybody has their faults, his was that he trusted too easily and loved too much. Here I stand looking at the 2nd most important man in my life. My father being my first. I am burying not only My big brother, my best friend and my soul mate. I stand here burring what was left of my heart.” Nerissa was crying harder now and Kelsey moved over and tried to pull her away from the stand, Nerissa pushed her away as well.
“In a matter of 5 years he has helped me from wanting to end my own life. Just like I want too right now. Now I feel empty. Granted I love my mother and my friends. I feel as though I have lost everything. I’m sorry I failed you jack. I love you I just want you to know that. I do remember what you said when you were in high school you said if you ever died you wanted your parting quote repeated
‘As I lay me down to sleep, a bottle of vodka lye at my feet and if I die before I wake, tell my Peeps I drank it Straight.’” Nerissa smiled though her tears which caused Gerard to Smile.
“ I love you jack and you will be greatly missed, you brought happiness, joy, laughter, hope and more importantly love into all of our lives. And for that we thank you. I miss you Already.” She got off the stage and placed a kiss on his forehead.
