HOLDING HANDS
Chapter Sixteen: Holding Hands
Chris Kael and Ivan Moody loved each other like they had loved so many girlfriends in the past. Sitting in an airplane, bound for a tour in Europe, they held each other’s hands in between their knees, neither one of them paying attention, both listening to music, Chris falling asleep against the clouds behind the window. Eventually Ivan followed him into sleep and rested his head on his shoulder without waking him.
They had felt this way towards each other for more than a month now, not long, but it kept them wondering how long it would last. Every day the passion and comfort in their relationship grew, and they trusted each other more and more too. The fact that the gesture of kissing had become somewhat casual – though of course the love was never lesser – seemed to be a step towards something big. However, it was still so strange to feel this way for a man and they questioned if a relationship like this would be right for them, because neither one of them could imagine growing old together. All they could do was let time weave on until its cosmic blanket showed the final outcome of their story together.
Nevertheless, during that period of a little more than a month, which they hoped would develop into several more – possibly several years – they loved each other. They loved each other with a scratchy, velvety, rough, gentle, and ardent passion that seeped out of the pores of their masculinity when they were alone. Even the gesture of holding their partner’s hand and falling asleep against his body was unrecognized by anyone else.
