Chapter 2: They Meet

Chapter 2

The VIP area was a huge room in the back, just for the celebrities to relax in. There was a huge table filled with different foods and a small mini-bar in the corner. Emma grabbed a bottle of water and sat down in a plushy chair, lighting up a cigarette. She didn't know where the others had wandered off to, and she didn't care, as long as she didn't have to think about Sean Bean for a while, or she'd definitely need a cold shower. She sat there, picturing Sean in the silence. She couldn't help it, she couldn't stop. Those eyes, those green eyes, how she would love to have them staring at her. As she took a drag on her cigarette, she wondered what it would be like to look into those eyes, to kiss those lips of his, so soft and kissable.

Before she could sink further back into her fantasies, there was a ruckus starting to sound outside. No sooner did a groan escape her lips, but who walked in.

"Look who we ran into, Emma." Charisma was walking arm in arm with David Wenham, followed by Nicky, Liv, Karl, and Sean, minus the hobbits. Emma could only groan and take another drag of her cigarette. "We wondered where you had run off to," Nicky said with a grin as he plopped down next to her on the end of the sofa.

"Just enjoying a smoke." She looked up at the Rings cast, smiling politely. "Nice to meet you all." Inside, Emma was screaming at Char and Nicky. She just couldn't wait to open her mouth and insert both feet, which she would probably be doing any minute now.

"Em, this is Sean, David, Liv, and Karl. Guys, this is Emma." Nicky motioned to the other actors who were kind of milling about the room, enjoying the quiet that it gave them. Nicky, of course, was beaming, knowing just how upset Emma was at them both, but she'd never voice it. Sometimes she wondered why she didn't just kill him, he was her best friend, and she could get away with it. "Nice to meet you all, very much." They all sat around for a little while, exchanging polite chit chat. Internally, Emma wondered if these people even had seen one episode of Buffy. And, she also mentally kicked herself for her fantasies again. She couldn't stop looking at Sean, but it seemed every time she looked over at him, he was already looking at her. She berated herself for getting caught looking at him, then berated herself for acting like a girl with a high school crush. She really couldn't win.

"So, Emma," Char said, lowering her voice a little, "I introduced myself to David. He's very nice. He told me to call him David." Emma looked at Char, raising an eyebrow, wondering if someone can get physically sick from another's gushing? She definitely was wondering if there were any air sickness bags in the room. "Is he now?" Emma sat back, lighting herself another cigarette.

"Aye, he is." Sean's voice was deep, and it startled Emma a little, as up to this moment he hadn't been very talkative. He was pulling out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, but Emma didn't recognize the brand. 'Must be English,' she thought to herself. "He's a great bloke, a right little brother." Sean laughed, his laughter resonating through the room as he lit his cigarette.

"I think Charisma has a little crush," she said, laughing lightly, which caused Charisma to elbow her lightly. She then whipped her head up, sighing in relief when she noticed David over by the food, chatting with Liv and Nicky, praying he hadn't heard Emma. "He's cute, and nice, but that's all..." Char’s voice trailed off as she looked up at Sean, blushing.

Emma stubbed out her cigarette and took a drink of her water bottle, eyeing Sean up and down. He was definitely an older man, but one who had aged well. She could see his muscles, well defined under his snug, black shirt. His biceps looked huge, and he definitely had a bulge in his pants she wouldn't mind getting a peek at. Sean, meanwhile, took a drag on his smoke, eyeing both the ladies. He hadn't had this much fun in a while. He looked around, wondering what had happened to his other cast mates. It was only when he leaned over to stub out his cigarette did he see the look in Emma's eyes, grinning when he caught her. Sean could read women well, at least when it came to lust and desire.

"Alrighty, I'm off on a David hunt." Charisma too was not blind, she could also read the sparks that were flying between the two of them. She stood up, giving them both a wink, and walked over to the others, leaving Sean and Emma sitting alone near the corner of the room.
