Ms Self Destruct
Prologue II: Trent
Title:
Ms Self Destruct
Author: TrentReznorsSin
Disclaimer: Trent unfortunately doesn’t belong to me *sobs* (do you really think I’d be sat at my PC if I owned him?? Lol) but Erin and some other people you won’t recognise belong to moi. I’m a poor uni student so don’t sue, I’m not making anything out of this!
Summary: Set during the Self Destruct Tour 94/95. Trent’s decision to ask his best friend Erin to come along for the tour has made them both ask the question ‘are we just friends?’
Feedback: Yes please, no flames though, they make me cry
Author's note: This is the first NIN fiction I’ve written in years, so I might be a bit rusty.
I’m always hitting writers block, so if anyone out there wants to throw some ideas my way, they’d be much appreciated! I would also be eternally grateful to anyone out there who would be willing to be a beta reader!
Prologue II: Trent
Trent tapped frantically at the buttons on the computer keyboard he balanced on his lap. It was no secret that he loved video games and right now he was trying to complete Doom. As he watched his character die in a mass of blood and gore, he realised that his heart just wasn’t in it. In fact it hadn’t been in it for a long time.
Pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers, he sighed before putting the keyboard to one side. He wasn’t going to get anywhere with the small distraction sitting on her own in the back, so what was the point in trying?
He stared blankly at the screen.
Was it a good idea?
He had wanted her to come on tour with him ever since he got this band started. She had always had a reason not to come before, but now she was finally on tour with him, he was starting to wonder if it was such a wise idea after all.
Erin had always been there for him when things had been tough. He knew he wasn’t the most normal of people, and could be a bit of a handful sometimes, but she had stuck by him through everything.
It was a well-known fact that she had lost friends because she had chosen to stick by him. That sacrifice had always meant so much to him.
But despite all that they had been through together, friendship just wasn’t enough. It had never been enough for him. In his eyes she was perfect, she was his world. He wanted to kill any guy who took an interest in her.
“Trent?” Robin peered around the door. “We’re stopping off at the next service station. You coming?”
“Sure.”
He bit his lip as he took his booted feet off the table and stood up.
It wasn’t her that worried him, it was himself.
Well that's Trent's introduction. Hope you like. Should I keep going? PLEASE REVIEW! I neeeeeeeeeeed reviews to continue this story! Thankies muchly!
