...i heard the voice of whispers...

Ville slowly managed to gather himself and eventually stand up, picking himself up off the floor. "Oh, Lord. He is here. Shit." He muttered to himself. He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. He walked over and picked some random clothes from the dresser and put them on. He muttered to himself, "I can't believe this..." before talking to his friend that had magically appeared out of nowhere. "What the hell are you doing here, Bam?"

Bam blinked twice before realizing he should speak. "Well...I just...thought I'd drop by." After it was said, Bam wasn't so sure that was the best thing he could have come up with. Actually, it sounded quite....unrealistic and unbelieveable. Oh, well. What can you do?

"You thought you'd just....drop by?" Ville sighed, "No notice at all? Bam..." He sighed again. This was really not the best time for him to be here. He wasn't in the mood to deal with Bam right now, to be honest. With such a thought crossing his mind, Ville wondered just where his mind was. He wasn't like that! Then again....over the last month...things had changed.

"I didn't think it would matter that much. I mean...you've come in with no notice before. I'm not the only one that does that kind of shit, Ville." Bam said in his own defense. There wasn't much else he could think of to say at the moment, anyway.

"I know, Bam, but..." For what seemed to be the millionth time, Ville sighed. "Just....lately things have been...different and I...I'd really like it if next time you feel like stopping by with no notice...just. Don't, ok?" Ville was trying to get things sorted through in his head. And it wasn't going to well. He was trying to figure out just how in the hell he was going to keep things from Bam. There was no way Ville could let Bam know about his recent....activities.

"What the hell's going on, Ville?" Bam glanced around, "I knew you moved....but seriously...why here?" He looked up at the vocalist and arched an eyebrow at him.

"I don't want to talk about it." Ville muttered, turning away from Bam. This was really not something he wanted to tell Bam. And so he wouldn't until the time came that he was completely backed into a corner and couldn't get himself out of telling him. Ahh, secrecy. Great way to keep your friendships strong, huh?

Bam threw up his hands and walked out of the room, mumbling. Rubbing his forehead, he thought of an idea.
"Look, Ville...I'm sorry I just kinda showed up. But from seeing your house, it's obvious you need a girlfriend." Bam paused, trying to ignore the obvious feeling of jealously that arose in him. Of course he didn't want Ville to have a girlfriend...but, that wasn't important right now. "So, buddy, I'm taking you out to the bar to find one tonight."

Ville stared for a moment. "Tonight?...Do we have to go tonight?"

"...Why not tonight?"

"I'm--er---I don't know." Ville couldn't very well say he was supposed to meet one of his clients that night. Oh fuck...what was he going to do now?

"Then we're going. No way out of it."

Ville sighed. 'Great...' he thought.

When Bam had eventually fallen asleep in front of the tv in the afternoon, Ville crept out of the apartment to use the pay phone that was right outside the building. He had to call the man he was supposed to meet with tonight.

"Hello?"

"Who the fuck is this?"

"Um, it's Ville."

"Oh you. What do you want?"

"I can't see you tonight. How about tommorow?"

"No...I want you tonight."

"But I can't."

"What do you mean you can't? It's not up to you, you stupid bastard."

"I can't...I'm sorry." Ville hung up before the man could say anything.

He looked up and saw Bam sticking his head out of the broken window of his apartment a few floors up.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"I was calling Migé. No big deal. I'll be right up."

"You should get your window fixed."

Ville didn't say anything. He just flipped Bam off as he walked inside. Bam laughed, knowing Ville was just kidding around. Nothing serious. At least, he hoped so. He cringed slightly, and pulled his head back in the window.

When they were at the bar, the pair did only what one could when going to a bar: They drank. Bam drank more than Ville, but, there was a reason for this. Ville drank some, but there was something distracting him too much for him to allow himself to get completely smashed just yet. Someone, in particular, was distracting his attention from anything and everything at the moment. Ville decided that he would go take care of this, if he could. He tapped Bam on the arm, "I'll be back in a minute."

Bam nodded, "Right. Ok, maaaan." He grinned and watched as Ville walked off before turning back to the bartender, getting another shot.

Ville sighed and braced himself for what might come as he walked over towards the guy that was supposed to have been his client earlier tonight.

Before Ville could say anything, the guy turned to him. "Oh, fuck no."

The guy glared. "Outside now, you little asshole." He grabbed Ville roughly and pulled outside and into an nearby alley. He pushed Ville against a wall and stared right into his eyes.

"Look you stupid little rockstar. This is how it works. You fuck me. I pay you. You don't blow me off when I want some attention."

"I can't help it...my friend from Am--"

The guy smacked Ville across his face and he shut up. "I don't care. I get what I want. And I'm having it now."

"No...no..." Ville could only mumble as the guy held him against the wall. There really wasn't anything he could do. His spirit had broken a long time ago...he didn't even want to move anymore...
