From Friendship to Love

Chapter 2.

“It was a mistake Toshiya, forget it… It was only a mistake…Forget it…” And he started leaving the room. Toshiya stopped him and with shock in his eyes screamed back him, “What the fuck? How can you say that now???”

“Come on Toshiya, you wanted to have sex and I wanted it as well and you were there…But now…I regret…I shouldn’t have give in to the desire…”

Toshiya, who was trembling, looked at the vocalist and with anger said him. “Go away Kyo, don’t say anything more, just go fucking away!”

The vocalist left and Toshiya, who still sat on the couch felt tears at the corner of his eyes. He had never felt so much pain before. His best friend betraied him in the worst and most filthy way. He was used as a sex toy by his friend, his best friend actually. He wiped the tears and start dressing as well.

He reached his house, the one that he shared with Kyo for a year, the vocalist was sitting on the couch in front of the TV, he looked at the bassist with a sad face, but the bassist ignored him and after getting something to eat he locked himself in his room.

That’s how days passed between the two, both ignoring each other. The rest of the band noticed that something must have happen between them since the very first day. They tried to ask them what was the matter, but nobody got an answer. Die tried and tried to talk with Toshiya, but the pretty bassist simply answered that nothing had happened. Anyway, he let Die stay with him, talk with him, became his friend. Toshiya was finally able to laugh and smile a bit more like before.

But Kyo…Kyo was different. Nobody could treat him when he was angry, a part from Toshiya, but this time…Kyo is angry with Toshiya, and Toshiya is angry with Kyo, who could treat with the short vocalist? Nobody. Nobody can even say ‘hello’ to him.

That is how 4 months passed.

One morning, Kaoru, before starting practice, said to Kyo, “Kyo, these are not the lyrics I asked you! I gave you the music 2 weeks ago, and surely these lyrics don’t suit that music!”

“I know…”

“Where are the others then?” Kaoru started to get angry.

“I don’t have them…”

“What the fuck are you saying? You don’t have them, who is supposed to have it if not you, as you are the one that writes them!” Kaoru yelled back.

“Well I don’t know how to continue them, so I gave up, and started another one. Where’s the problem?”

“I don’t fucking care if you can’t continue it, I spent a week composing that music and I want to hear it in the new album!” Die and Toshiya moved near Kaoru, knowing that he is gonna hit Kyo.

“Oh come on Kaoru, that music was shit, you can do better!” Now it’s enough, Kaoru was ready to punch him, and he would have succeeded if Die hadn’t stop him. Then Toshiya looked at the vocalist and with an icy voice said to Kaoru, “Kaokao, don’t get angry on a stupid shit like him, after all it’s his habit to gave up. His major job is to not to face the problem and regret having done something, running away.” Kaoru and Die watched how Toshiya was glaring at Kyo, and how Kyo was now angry with Toshiya.

“Practice starts now!” Kaoru said, trying to control himself from killing Kyo. No need to say that the practice was shit. After 3 hours Kaoru gave up and finished it.

“Totchi, can I talk to you a moment?” asked Die.

“Yep, wanna smoke Dai-chan?” Die nods and they go outside to smoke. Die offers Toshiya a cigarette and took one for himself too. Toshiya stared at the other, waiting for him to start talking.

“So…what’s up Dai-chan?” asked Toshiya, seeing that his friend didn’t start to talk.

“I…I’d …I’d like to know…” started Die, before being abruptly interrupt by Toshiya.

“No! Stop it! Don’t go on, I already said that I’m not gonna say you what happen between Kyo and I, ok? So don’t even try to ask…”

“No Totchi! I was not asking about that thing, I already know, and gave up on asking you…I’m not so stupid! If you say me that you don’t want to say, I’m not gonna ask you always and ever!” the guitarist asked with a smile, trying to hide his nervousness.

“Oh! Gomen…Go on then…” smiled back Toshiya.

“Well…I…I mean…we are friends…aren’t we?”

“Dai-chan, you’re scaring me, is there some problem?”

“Actually…there’s one…” Toshiya looked at the guitarist who is now avoiding his eyes, he had never seen him more nervous.

“Come on Die! I’m worried!!! What’s going on?” yelled Toshiya. Die breathed quietly and said in a breath.

“I’m not good with words and you know it, ok? Don’t ask me why, but I think I’ve fallen in love with you! That’s it! I said it!! Now I’m much more better!!!”

Toshiya looked back at him, too shocked to talk…
