Chapter 2

Last day of school for the seniors is always great. It is this way because we get to leave, the juniors are no longer the underclassmen, and yet the seniors are not fully gone yet. Well this was our last day and now that it is here the year seemed to have gone fast, too fast in ways. However graduation presented a rather large problem. Each student was only allowed two tickets. Well I needed 5 and Ashley needed 4. I ended up getting two extra from a teacher I knew real well and Ashley somehow did the same. Students were bribing everyone to get an extra ticket, it was crazy.

Graduation rolled around quick and went on without a flaw. After, Ashley and I stayed to go to parties and other gatherings. By the time all the seniors were done with parties and such Ash and I did not get home until two days after graduation. That was how it went. You got in your car and went from party to party picking up people and dropping them off at random parties. It went on 24/7 nonstop.

After her and I got home we slept for a few hours and then got up and sat and wondered what to do next. All of it was over and the only thing left was our jobs, but we were adults now. Her and I kept our jobs but picked up another one to bring in some extra money. We ended up making about two-hundred dollars each a week. That was great especially since almost all of it went into the bank.

I am going to skip ahead two years since nothing much happened in the two of them.

I went to work as I do everyday and began my job. I was promoted from cleaning to greeting and guest services. Which meant that if someone had a problem I was to make it right. It was not a bad job because I got the front desk to myself and got to meet great people. This day however was different. Today I was finally going to graduate from the wrestling school that I had joined two years ago, there was nothing more for me to do there, I had beat everyone and climbed to the top and stayed there and I got to graduate a year early. Well I was excited about that and the fact that we had all gotten a raise. It was training time for the Steelers which meant that most of them would be at the hotel. In a way I was looking forward to it but I had hoped that they would be good and not destroy the place; I did not want that to happen on my time. I was only a week into my new position and did not want it ruined. Anyhow I was at my computer moving them all into the right rooms according to their needs and heard the door open. My automatic response to this is to look up, stand and greet the person with the normal "good morning (afternoon, or evening), welcome to the Wingate Inn, my name is Jessica and you can ask for me if you have any problems during your stay, what can I do for you?" I stood and began my little speech but stopped short as I noticed who it was I was talking to. "Mr. McMahon, what a pleasure, how can I help you today, I do not remember seeing your name in our books, do you have a room with us? Wow, I got it out, I was shaking like a leaf and completely self conscious about how I looked. "No, I came for a tour, I am trying to find smaller out of town hotels for my guys, they get mobbed in the big ones. Is there any chance you have time to give me a tour?" He asked, wow, humble, I did not expect him to ask, but for him to demand a tour, needless to say, I found time! "absolutely Mr. McMahon, anything for you." I hope that didn't sound corny. I began to lead him on a tour. He sampled our food, loved our prices, and adored the rooms. He said that he would consider us the next time he comes into Pittsburgh. However while we talked he asked me a few questions. "So, Jessica you said, is this your only source of income, this cant be making you a lot of money, can it?" "Well not this job alone, I work at McDonalds at night and wrestle on the weekends." "Well, then your pretty well off aren't you?" "Not exactly, I drive a 1990 Mustang that is about to die and I don't get paid for the wrestling. We are all supposed to get a portion of the money made that night but I give mine right back to the owner. I do a lot for the promotion, going in about two hours early to set up and leave about two or three hours after to tear down and organize profits, including the distribution of the checks to the guys. I was going to a wrestling school but I graduate tonight, early because I was at the top for too long so they told me I need to leave." "Wow, what do you plan to do with your life, I mean you don't look too old?" "Only 20. My friend and I plan to move to Texas next year, since that is when she will graduate from the school. We are hoping to get into a bigger school down there and hopefully get noticed by, well, you!" I blushed as he smiled. "I'm noticing! Ill tell you what, my crew and I will be back in Pittsburgh in about two months. You give me all of your mailing info and I'll send you some tickets and you two can come tryout for the company. How does that sound?" He asked. "Oh wow, Mr. McMahon, I can"t believe it, you have made my dreams come true, thank you. I accept." I quickly jotted down my info and gave him the card. He smiled and left. I almost passed out but soon got calmed down and resumed my work.

That night I had already gotten the night off at McDonalds and would arrive early for the ceremony at my school. Tonight was going to be a big night, there were going to be a lot of people there. Most of my friends and family, along with all the indy wrestlers I knew would be there. Everyone was excited about graduating and moving on to a bigger career.

"And this year we have a special student graduating. She has been able to climb to the top of our school and do all that she could here. And she was able to do it a year early. She has an incredible capacity for learning, and has such a huge heart for this sport. I think we can all expect great things out of her. She takes the old female standards in wrestling to a new unheard of level. Her name is Jessica Hunter, Jess come on up." Jason was our head trainer and a great guy. He was able to make you laugh and learn a lot at the same time. And he didn't even have to try to teach, you just learned something when you were around him. He always made a meeting between him and you interesting and one that you would never forget.

"Thanks Jason." I said as he walked away and left the microphone to me. "Well, here we are, three years down for most of us. I am so happy that I chose this school over all of my other options. I wanted somewhere that I could have fun and learn, and I found just the right place. This place has gone above and beyond my expectations. When I sat down to write a speech I had no clue what to say, and I still don't! So what I am going to do is wish everyone the best of luck and tell you some news. When the WWE comes back to Pittsburgh Ashley and I have a tryout match. So here I am, plugging a WWE event! Thank you all for giving me the chance to make my dream come true. And I hope to see you all on WWE TV soon, you all deserve it." Everyone stood and clapped as I walked off the stage with my diploma. As every student went up to get their diploma they had a chance to say something. This was possible because we only had 15 people graduating. It was just a great fun night, almost better then my high school graduation just two years ago!
