Broken
I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph; I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain
He would do anything for him, he wanted to do something for him. He wouldn’t let him though, self-sufficient little bastard. He loved every fiber of that stubborn body and soul though. Sometimes though, sometimes, he was different. Sometimes his eyes begged him for help when his lips told him he was fine.
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel light when you’re gone away
Sometimes when he hugged him it was as if he thought someone would drag him away at any moment. He clung to him and wouldn’t let go until something or someone once again called for them and they were forced to part. He wouldn’t leave him, nothing could keep him away for long.
The worst is over now and we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high, you steal my pain away
There’s so much left to learn, and no one left to fight
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain
They didn’t fight often and when they did he always relented. This time he didn’t back down though and now he was driving aimlessly along country roads. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to go back or not.
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away
He went back, he always went back; but it wasn’t until the next morning. He was curled in a ball in the kitchen near the garage door, the phone in his hand. He lifted his head, his eyes were red and puffy and so broken he wasn’t sure he’d ever forgive himself for leaving.
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel light when you’re gone away

A/N: Wkukluver if I ever get a book published you’ll be the first to know =D Thank you for the wonderful compliment. ^_^
Yay for sappy love songs! I don’t know what’s gotten into me, really. I think I’ll just keep this a WIP and add to it every now and then.
Thanks for reading and reviewing!
