NB-22-Plan of Action

Tsukasa opened his eyes, blurred vision slowly adjusting to the dark room around him. At some point someone, probably Tora, had put out all the candles, so only the faint light of the moon seemed through the small window.

He lay on his side snuggled up against Hakuei, who was also laying on his side, though ficing him. Tsukasa's head rested on Hakuei's outstreched arm, and he was sure the other man would feel pain in the morning, but everything felt too good to wake him now. He also felt an arm wrapped around his chest, very tight, as if the man whos body was molded behind his could not stand to let him go, even in sleep.

He squeezed Tora's hand, and the other squeezed back, then he let his eyes drift shut, a smile still on his lips.

Tsukasa walked into the bedroom doorway, hands plantd on jean-covered hips.

"You don't have any food."

Tora chuckled as he leaned back on the bed, pulling on an old pair of flannel sleepwear. "Well, no, I haven' had the chance to buy anything yet, aside from what we used-"

"wasted!" Hakuei callde from the bathroom.

"-last night." The young man shrugged. "Besides, I get at least one free meal from the bar whenever I work, and I usually only eat once or twice a day anyway."

Tsukasa frowned. "That's something you need to work on, Tora-kun. You're nothing but skin and bones."

Tora snorted. "You're one to talk."

Hakuei turned off the faucet and leaned against the doorframe. "Tsukasa's thin, yes, so am I. But you are... more than that."

Tora looked down at his bare chest. "Well, I suppose you can see a few ribs here and there..."

"You can see all your ribs." Tsukasa insisted, crossing his arms. "Even slumped over like tha, I can stand here and count every one." His face softened as he climbed onto the bed. "I'm not going to let you give up on yourself so easily," he kissed the young man tenderly on his full lips. "We are going to fight this, do whatever it takes to make you healthy and whole again."

Tora ran his fingers through Tsukasa's soft hair. "And what exactly do you think you can do for me that countless others, professinals, already have?" He smiled sadly. "There rea;;y isn't much they-"

"I don't know," Tsukasa's eyes grew hard as he set his jaw firmly, "but we're going to think of something, I assure you." He grabbed Tora's hands and hauled the other man to his feet. "Now, get dressed. We're going grocery shopping."

Rose hung up the ophone and opened the phone book on his lap. He flipped through the pages, dark eyes scanning the various names and advertisements, one long finger running down each column. Finally, his finger stopped and he grinned. He grabbed the pen and paper beside him, wrote down the information, then flipped his phone open again.

"Yeah, I just spoke with Kisaki a minute ago.... you too? Good." The blonde scratched his head. "I guess I can understand his concer... Isn't Kisaki's brother.. hai. Ok, well, I've found several listings so far, but I'm not really sure if they'll give the owners phone numbers to us..."

Kisaki walked up the small white steps and through the automatic doors of the hospital, stopping at the nurses station.

"Do you know if Mana-sama is in today?" He flashed the young oman behind the desk a bright smile.

"Well yes,as a matter of fact, he is." The girl picked up the phone, blushing slightly under the attractive man's gaze. "May I ask who's calling on him?"

"Kisaki, his brother." His smile dimmed somewhat. "Please tell him it's urgent."

The red-head pulled out his cellphone as he opened his car door and climbed in. He attached his hands-free set and popped the phone into it's dash mount before starting the engine.

"I'm leaving the hospital now," he said after hitting speeddial., carefully backing out of his parking space. "Mana said he needs to examine Tora more closely befor dispensing any real advice. I think I got him both intrigued and worried over Tora's case..."

"Ok," there was a pause as Tsukasa could be heard whispering to someone else. "Did your brother say when he could fit him in?"

"He stressed the sooner the better, considering his condition." He pulled out a slip of paper form his front jean pocket. "The only available appointments he has in the next couple of days are for 8am tomorrow or 9am Wednesday. I told him to go ahead and schedule for tomorrow, but if you need to we can go later." He flipped his turn signal on and rounded the corner, heading East. "But Tsukasa, if I were you, please try to convince him to go in tomorrow instead of later.."

"Oh, believe me, he'll..." there was another pause form the other end. "Ok, he's agree to go tomorrow."

"Good!" he sighed in relief. "All of this has got me woprried about him, and I'd rather, uh, you not loose him now that he's finally back." Kisaki frowned, replaying what he'd just said in his mind, then shook his head. "Anyway, Mana said to take it easy today, make sure he eats right, but have him fast from eight tonight until the appointment."

"Hai hai."

Kisaki bit his lip. "I mean it, Tsukasa. I know you've seen how bad he's gotten." Kisaki bite his lip. "I asked Mana about his.. weight loss, and though he said alot of it could be due to his meds and stress, he also said it didn't sound healthy. Make sure he ets, ok? The healthier his body becomes as a whole, the better chance we have of helping him get through this."

"I know." Tsukasa's voice got quieter. "We are actually at the market right now."

"Good. Rose and Kiyoharu are trying to track down his parents right now. They found the chain of boutiquies Tora's parents own and are-"

"Oh, no, but he didn't want them to-"

"I know, but he's certainly going to need the money, and support, that they can provide him."

The young man on the other end of the phone sighed. "You're right. I'll just have to convince him of that."

"I'm sure you can." Kisaki pulled into his complex parking lot. "Anyway, I'll see you guys for dinner?"

"Hai."

Tsukasa tucked his phone back into his pocket and caiught up with Tora at the checkout.

"Everything' all set." he reached into the basket and tossed a bag of carrots onto the conveyor belt. "Your appointments at 8, though you can't have anything for 12 hours before that. Just water."

The other man nodded, dropping the last package of noodles infront of the clerk.

'Tsukasa..." Tora sighed. "Look, try not to get your hopes uo too high, ok?" he smiled slightly. "I've been looked at by many doctors over the years and thought it was very kind of Kisaki to convince his brother to-"

Tsukasa stopped his words with a hand over his mouth. "It's this kind of attitude that makes all this hard." he said softly, then brightened. "We don't know if Mana-sama can be of any help, but we can at least let him try, ne? No harm in that."

Tora nodded his head, indulging the other man. "Right. "
