Chapter 25

Nerissa had cried herself to sleep curled up in Mikey’s Lap and Gerard just sat there watching her.
She opened her eyes and saw him looking at her. She got up and went over to him sat on his lap and curled up.
He whispered in her ear “ everything is going to be fine baby. I’ll protect you.”
“Miss Johnson?” the Doctor called
Nerissa Shot up and ran over to him.
“is she ok? Please tell me she is ok.” She said frantically
The Doctor smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder.
She is fine for her being paralyzed, she is not going to be but she will be in a wheelchair for a few years do to the fact her beck is going to take a lot of time to heal. So how about we all go back and see her huh?” Nerissa Smiled happily and hugged the Doctor.
“THANK YOU SO MUCH!”
She ran back and stood by her mothers side and help her hand with tears rolling down her face
“your shit head don’t you ever do that again” Billie said
Nerissa sat down holding her moms hand
“wake up mommy please” she whispered stroking her mom’s hand.

Kirsten’s eyes fluttered open and she groaned
“anybody get the license plate number of the steam roller than ran my skinny ass over?”
Everyone laughed
“yup that is her alright” Billie said

The doctor came in and explained everything he had told Nerissa in the waiting room.

Nerissa walked in the door and plopped on the couch.
“Oh my god. I almost lost my mother.” She said looking at David, who’s lap she had her head resting in.
He played with her hair. She finally fell asleep
