night time talks

Carrie's pov.





Carrie's head left the pillow as she strand to listen, she was sure she heard someone call her name from behind the hotel door. She jumped from the bed hearing it again. Carefully she peeked round the opening of the door to see who would be visiting her.



'Morning......'



'Why are your here?.........' Carrie opened the door a little more, not enough to let any one in but enough to have a conversation.



'I thought since your not with the wife right now you and I could maybe .....i dont know....try out these feelings we've been hiding for each other......' Carrie shook her head.



'That's just gross.......i mean I may throw up........'Carrie opened the door further.



'But your not saying no........'



'I'll just call Ashley and tell her that her boyfriend is in my hotel room trying to have sex with me......'Carrie shrugged throwing herself back on the bed.



'Hey now.......I coming joking........no need for threats........'Jason closed the hotel door behind him before throwing himself on the other side of the bed.



'How's your baby?.....'Carrie watched Jason's face light up.



'Coolest thing ever.....'Jason beamed. Throwing his wallet to Carrie she smiled proudly as she looked at the baby.



'He's like Kelly.....' Carrie ran her finger slowly over the boys face.



'It's the cheeks.......here.....'Jason handed Carrie another picture. 'Thought you might like a picture of your baby and my baby together........' Carrie smiled at the small picture of Kelly laying on their bed with Jakob laying on her chest. Both sound asleep.



'She looks peaceful..........'



'She needs to be hugging something when she sleeps.........'Jason pointed out.



'Yea......'Carrie agreed.



'And since your not there.....she's been stealing my son.......who turns out is very much in love with his auntie...........so you coming home so I can get my son back?.........' Jason lay back against the pillows.



'Jason......'Carrie let out a sigh.. ' I'd be home tonight if it was up to me........your sister needs to want me back first........'



'But I want you home.....'Jason complained. 'Your the only one I can talk to there......those three woman are killing me.........and my mother doesn't even know your gone.........'Carrie let out a laugh as she looked at her brother in law.



'Times really have changed...........there was a time you hated me......'



'I did not......'



'Jason you tried to break me and Kelly up......'



'That?.......that little misunderstanding.......I can't believe you still remember that......'





Flashback





'And your sure he wants me there?.......'



'He said you too yes.......'



'He's going to kill me.....' Carrie looked ahead as Kelly drove.



'Carrie he's not going to kill you......'



'Your in on it.......' Carrie turned in her seat to look at her girlfriend. ' your driving me into the middle of nowhere and your brothers going to kill me.........is this how you break up with people?.......Can't do it over the phone like most people......'



'Oh my god you caught.....'Kelly gasped. ' You found out my evil plan.....'



'Your weird......'Carrie pointed out.



'And your dating me?.....what does that make you...'Kelly asked as she stuck out her tongue.



'The luckiest girl the world?......' Carrie watched her girlfriend melt in front of her.



'The things I'd do to you if I wasn't driving......'Kelly joked.



' Pull over......'

Carrie counted the plates sent up at the dinner table, Jason stood over the stove cooking his famous chilli.



'Ashley coming?......'



'No......' Carrie loved the male clarkson for his talkative nature.



'A date?.....'



'Friend......he'll be here soon......'Carrie nodded her head before turning to Kelly and rolling her eyes.



'You know Carrie's a vegetarian ?.....Kelly asked suddenly remembering her girlfriends eating habits.



'I know.....it's vegetarian chilli........' Carrie turned surprised at Jason.



'Eh thanks......'



'Yea...that's very sweet Jason.....'Kelly smiled happily at her brother. Carrie loved seeing her like that.





By the time dinner was ready the door bell went, Jason jumped quickly to get it leaving Carrie and Kelly alone in the kitchen.



'So who's he invited?.....' Carrie watched Kelly pull herself up onto the kitchen counter.



'He says a friend......'Carrie answered .



' Male friend?......' Carrie shrugged. She moved into between Kelly's legs.



'Are we spending the night here?......'Carrie's hand ran up her girlfriends thighs.



'Well it is my house.......'



'Are we sharing a bed?....' Carrie quickly kissed her girlfriends cheek, resting her head on her shoulder.



'Im a big girl.....if I want to sleep with my girlfriend in my own house I will.......'Carrie giggled into Kelly's shoulder.



'So that means we wait till Jason goes to sleep then I sneak into your bedroom?'



'Yea....'Kelly sighed. 'I hate that they think of me as a baby........'



'Your my baby......'Carrie pointed out.



'Oh yea?....'



'Yea....'Carrie whispered as her lips captured Kelly's. They were so caught up in the kiss they didn't hear Jason return with the mystery guest.



'Not something you see every day.....'Kelly pulled away quickly hearing the familiar voice.



'Graham?.....'





End Of Flashback.





'Your telling me you didn't invite him to try and get him and Kelly back together.....'Carrie watched her brother in law roll his eyes.



'Ok....i tried....but it didn't work did.........and I said I was sorry........'



'Yea.....and year later........'



'Can we please talk about something good I just got scared back then, I could see it wasn't just a little fling like I thought it was,.......i could see you two falling in love......i knew it would change everything .....'Jason tried to change the subject... ' I love you now you know.....'



'Yea yea....'Carrie laughed.. ' your lucky I love you too.'





Kelly's pov





Kelly couldn't take her eyes off the scene, she held Jakob in her lap as she focused fully on what was in front of her. She had been left alone with the baby again, not that she was complaining the boy was a god send. Her heart melted a little bit as she watched the screen closely, biting her bottom lip as scene played out.



'Your pathetic.....'Kelly jumped.



'Jason.....don't do that.....' Kelly moved up a little letting her brother sit down.



'Your sitting watching your wife on tv..........'



'And?.....im not allowed......'Kelly handed Jakob over to Jason.



'Your like a little puppy.......'



'Shut up.......' Kelly looked back at the tv screen. 'Anyway....where did you go?.........'



'Making sure my sister in law was ok.......'Jason focused on Jakob who was now awake.



'You saw her?.....is she ok?.....what did she say........'Kelly turned completely so she was looking right at her brother.



'She's ok.......'



'Did she ask about me?.......'



'Na.....we didn't talk about you.......'Jason gave a little smile as he saw Kelly's face sadden.



'You really are pathetic......of course we talked about you .......she's missing you.......'



'I know....'Kelly whispered.



'And you miss her.....'



'I know....'Kelly repeated.





Jason sat quietly rocking jakob gently in his knee, he watched his sister closely. Her eyes following Carrie's every move as she sang on tv .



'You remember the time I invited Graham for dinner?.....'



'Yea.....'Kelly sighed. ' I almost let Carrie kill you....'



'Im sorry about that.......i was completely wrong........'



'It's in the past......'



'No....i said some pretty horrible things that night......but I was wrong........Carrie is what you need in life......i should never have doubted that........' Kelly nodded smiling softly at her brother before turning her attention back to the tv.





Flashback





'Graham?.....' Kelly pushed Carrie away from her. No one but family knew about them and she really didn't want her ex finding out that way.



'Let me guess.....she had something in her eye and you were getting it out for her?.......'



'I....we were......'



'Yea their dating....'Jason pushed past Graham and Kelly.



'Did I turn you?....'Graham tried to laugh but he was finding the whole thing uncomfortable.



'What no.......'



'But your gay.....'



'Im not gay......' Kelly answered quickly. She could feel Carrie's eyes burning into her.



'so it's just a little phase?.....'Jason quizzed as she stood behind Carrie. Kelly turned to look at her brother but her eyes caught Carrie's instead. Carrie gave her a look, a look only Kelly would understand.



'Who knows......'Kelly answered. She could see the hurt in Carrie's eyes.

Kelly watched as Carrie sat at the table with her head down, she had tried more than once to hold her hand under the table but each time Carrie pulled away. Graham was sitting at her other side going on and going about when they dated . Jason for his part stayed pretty quiet, smirking as he watched Carrie.



'Hey remember the time you got drunk at Ashley's birthday party......'Graham laughed as Kelly's face reddened. 'took me an hour to get you off that table.......you insisted you sing every reba song you knew.......which was all of them.......' Kelly smiled politely at Graham. ' even in bed you wouldn't shut up......' Kelly jumped hearing Carri's fork banging against her plate. She turned to see her girlfriend standing up.



'Please excuse me.....i suddenly don't feel good......' Carrie left the kitchen without looking at anyone, Kelly could hear her rushing up the stairs.



'Something I said........'Graham smiled.

'alright man......talk to you soon.....'Kelly stood beside her brother as he waved goodbye to graham.



'Your unbelievable.....'Kelly shouted as soon as the door was shut.



'what?....'Jason laughed.



'You think I would take one look at my ex and go running into his arms again.......' Jason walked towards the kitchen causing Kelly to follow him.



'You said it yourself........you never said once tonight that Carrie was your girlfriend......it just proves it not real.........'



'You have no idea about me and Carrie.........'



'I don't want to know.....' Jason turned his back to his sister.



'You hurt her tonight......'Kelly said softly. ' you dont care that you hurt her?.........'



'Actually I don't ......' Kelly shook her head.



'Where has my brother gone?........the strong gentleman that I grew up with..........the man that would go out his way to make sure no one hurt me........'



'That's what im doing.....'Jason sighed turning back to his sister. ' Im protecting you from her......she's the one that's going break your heart........'



'She is not.....and you were there when we first got together.....why have you changed your mind so much......'



'I just got to know her...........she's not good for you......' Kelly moved away from her brother.



'Maybe your not good for me jas..........'



'You know that's not true.....she's going to take you away from us.....' Kelly shook her head



'Your pushing me away.....and if I have to I;ll choose and you wont like the out come of it........' Kelly walked out the kitchen leaving her brother speechless.





End Of Flashback





'Im glad you came around......' Kelly lay her head on her brothers shoulder.



'would you have cut me out your life?........'



'Let's not open that can of worms......'



'Just proves how much you love that woman.......you were putting her first before anyone.....even then.......maybe you should remember that.

Kelly lay on her bed, phone in hand as she dialled the number. Three rings and she picked up.



'Hey.....i didn't think you would call......' Carrie's voice sounded desperate.



'Yea......sorry we had a late dinner.........'



'Oh yea?.....what'd you have?........'



'Jason cooked his famous Chilli.......' Kelly could hear Carrie licking her lips. 'what did you have?.....'



'Well I was out most of the day but I ........'



'You haven't eaten have you?....'



'No....'Carrie answered quietly.



'Carrie.....what are you doing....you want to get sick.....'Kelly suddenly turned into worried wife which made Carrie smile. 'And stop smiling......'



'What?....im not......'



'Whatever.....'Kelly sighed.. ' look I better get to bed......don't go all day without eating again ok?.....'



'Ok.....'



'Night car......'



'Night Kel.....'





Carrie's pov





Carrie lay in the dark humming a song to herself as she tried her hardest to fall asleep. It had annoyed her that Kelly had cut their talk short, she had hoped they would move a little forward. Hearing her phone vibrate she picked it up reading the text message.



There's a parcel at your door. Kel. Xx



Carrie jumped from the bed opening the door. Her eyes scanned the hall before falling to the floor, she saw a small box, picking it up she went back to the bed to open it. Her eyes filled with tears as she saw the container filled with Chilli, a little note placed on top.



I may be angry with you at the moment but it doesn't mean ive stopped caring. Please take better care of yourself while I can't. Love Kelly. Xx



Carrie raised the note to her lips gentle kissing it as she looked down at the chilli, things were beginning to look up.
