Part 25

Bryan:

I sat down at my computer desk and set down my cup of coffee, moving the mouse slightly so that the screen came back to life. I’d promised Ben and Danny that I’d get the interview edited and uploaded ASAP; so I needed to get to work on this right now - even though I was so tired from travelling home most of last night; I’d hung out with Danny and Matt after finishing with the interviews and ended up getting home at three this morning and it was – I glanced at my watch – seven now. Shit! I’d only had four hours sleep!

There wasn’t much editing to be done since most of it was too funny to cut out, so I was uploading it on YouTube within the hour. I allowed myself another couple of hours sleep while the interview uploaded. It would’ve been more if my phone hadn’t started beeping, indicating some of my followers were tweeting me. I’d ignored the first few, but the tweets just kept rolling in; not letting me get any sleep at all.

“For fuck’s sake,” I moaned as I rolled off the sofa and grabbed my phone off the computer desk. I moved the mouse again and, yepp, the Interview had uploaded without any problems. My phone beeped again which made me sigh with annoyance. I unlocked the phone to be greeted by (FUCK!) 250 new tweets. What was all of this about!?

The answer soon became clear as I scrolled down the growing list:

“@BryanStars HOLY SHIT!!! Is this a joke?”

“@BryanStars Were they being serious? Or is it just a prank?”

“@BryanStars Has it finally happened? Is Brusnop for real!!!!!??????” Just hundreds and hundreds of tweets like this… and more still being tweeted. I went straight to my contacts and pulled up Danny’s number. I was about to hit the call button but he beat me to it.

“My twitter’s going crazy! I can’t believe some people still don’t believe us!” Danny complained before I could even say hi. “I mean, what do we have to do to prove it?”

“Mine’s going crazy, too. I think most people believe it, but I guess they just need some form of confirmation. That’s what I got from most of the tweets, anyway.”

“But that interview should’ve been enough confirmation!” Danny sighed in frustration. “I don’t need this constant beeping; especially not when I’ve got a hangover!”

“Just switch your phone off, that’ll solve the beeping problem. As for the confirmation… I’ll sort it.” Danny sighed and murmured a quiet thank you before I hung up.

I had an idea up my sleeve, one that will definitely work… All I needed was Miranda.
