Be Professional

Celebs featured: Ariana Grande, Candice Swanepoel

The women have their own form of transportation: a teleporter. For real, Captain had a teleporter in the last resort and took it with him to this one. Gordon operated the device, which they kept next to the elevators. He would enter coordinates and someone would walk through the teleporter either to or from that location. If the women had to be somewhere and couldn't be seen getting chauffeured by Captain or Gordon, that's where the teleporter came in handy. You might be wondering if the teleporter is ever used on the benefactors. It is, but we'll talk more about that some other time.
Gordon turned on the teleporter and in walked Ariana, who was more than a little annoyed.

"Did you hear what happened?" asked Ariana. "The nerve of that guy."

You see, for Ariana, getting groped on stage is one thing. Heck, she's actually kinda used to it. Getting groped on stage by a pastor, however, is quite another thing, especially if the pastor does this at Aretha Franklin's funeral. Ariana couldn't do much because she didn't want to cause a scene at the funeral of a music icon. And Gordon, a huge Ariana fan, couldn't do anything even if he was in attendance because security wouldn't have let him close enough to punch the pastor in the face. Gordon quietly pressed the elevator button while she vented. Once the elevator doors closed, Gordon went to the lobby.

The benefactor was running late. Apparently, their Apple Maps wasn't working properly and they spent a bunch of time being directed to go the wrong way. Captain and Candice were waiting in the lobby, passing time talking about Captain recently watching some movie for the first time.

"I wondered 'How is this supposed to be a kids movie?' Because it is very clearly not a movie parents would want their kids to watch."

"What movie?" asked Gordon.

"Grave of the Fireflies."

"Oh, hohohoho," Gordon sat down and rubbed his hands together eagerly. "Just because Ghibli made Grave of the Fireflies right after My Neighbor Totoro doesn't make it a kids movie. It's PG-13 at the very least."

"The Incredibles is a kids movie," Candice added, "and there's an attempted suicide in the first 6 minutes."

"Is that an argument in support of or against what I'm saying?" asked Captain.

Candice shrugged, "I don't know. I just thought that might be relevant."

"You know that part where Setsuko starts throwing a tantrum over her mom's kimonos being sold for food, and there's a flashback where she hugs her mom after a family photo?"

"That made you cry?"

"Almost. I definitely felt myself start to tear up a bit. That's usually the most a movie gets out of me. Like, I was so close to crying at the end of Logan."

"I had no such luck," Gordon admitted. "I completely lost it when she said 'Daddy'. God, that is such a great movie."

Candice nodded, "Coco was like that for me."

"Oh man, Coco was amazing," Captain gushed. But before he could say anything else, the phone rang in Madalina's office. A few moments later, she peeked through the window and tilted her head to the front door, letting Captain know the benefactor had finally arrived.

Captain dusted himself off as he stood up and said, "I'll be right back in. Gordon, be sure to look professional. And Candice . . . just keep being yourself."

Candice smiled, "Yes, sir."

Captain warmly welcomed the benefactor into the lobby. He introduced Candice and said he, Madalina, and Gordon would be on hand if he needed anything. With that, Candice took the benefactor to the elevators.
