Something Odd...
A/N: I know I just skipped over Ivy's wedding. But if you want details on that, go to the story Family Tradition in the FOB section, Reby has that one covered. Now to get onto this story, which is about to get wrapped up b/c Becca/Cat have been actively planning the sequel which is supposed to be a LOT more exciting XD. Enjoy
Catrianna yawned as the sun hit her eyes. These days, she had been so exhausted, it was hard to believe that time had flown since Ivy's wedding. Pretty soon, it was time to help Becca plan her own wedding. Since she had been so good at helping her with her own wedding, being her Maid of Honor and all, Cat knew that she also had to return the favor. Besides, they had been planning this wedding bit by bit on the sly, even when Ivy and Pete had squeezed their wedding in the middle of it all. Speaking of wedding planning, Cat groaned, flopping over, burying her face in her husband's bare chest. They were still newlyweds, and playing the part very well.
"Mmm Ryan, how about if we don't leave this bed today?" Ryan blinked his eyes open slowly, and the corners of his mouth turned up in a faint smile. "Don't you have some wedding planning to do? I actually have to get together with the rest of the band. You know, that new song we're writing for Becca and Patrick." Cat nodded as she sat up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. How could she forget that 'top secret' mission of her husband's band? They had been planning this for ages now. And the crazy thing was, the four of them would probably kill Cat if she managed to utter a peep about this surprise. "I still say you guys should have sung 'I Write Sins' at Pete's and Ivy's wedding. Especially with Ivy's mom there and all, bloody hell that was mental." Ryan laughed and rolled his eyes at this. "I've had it up to here with that damn song. I'm glad we didn't play it." Cat stuck her lip out in a playful pout. "I liked it. That song is what first got me to know about you lot." Ryan shook his head. They really did meet in a twist of fate. "Ugh, phone...your phone too. G'night." Ryan closed his eyes and went back to sleep, leaving Cat to answer her phone. "Wanker," she muttered with a roll of her eyes as she answered the phone.
"Cat - hey," Brendon's voice, oddly awake at 8 in the bloody morning spoke through the receiver. "Um what is it B?" Cat responded, stifling a yawn. "Sorry it's so early, but this is the only time I have to talk to you alone. Um, think we can grab breakfast somewhere?" Catrianna's initial impulse was to say she wanted a raincheck on that, but Brendon's voice actually sounded a bit dull, as in perhaps preoccupied. "Something bothering you?" There was a long pause. "I'll tell you over breakfast. Um can you meet me in say half an hour?" Cat sighed, but relented. "Make it 45 minutes, and I'll be there." There wasn't even a goodbye, just a click on the other end. That was strange. Cat went back to the bedroom and brushed her lips over Ryan's own. "Ry. That was B- I sort of forgot a breakfast promise I made to him. Think you can deal on your own?" Ryan flopped over and buried his face in his pillow. "Yeah," he responded, voice muffled, before he was quiet again. Catrianna rolled her eyes. A real character, that Ryan...

Cat drove towards the tiny diner that the crowd enjoyed homemade breakfasts at these days, looking out for Brendon's car, though she didn't see it. "Cat, over here." Brendon jogged toward her, drenched head-to-toe. Well, it had been piss-pouring rain. "BRENDON U-" Brendon covered her mouth and shook his head. "Don't you dare. There's a cheerleading competition in town and I saw a school bus here." Cat peered at Brendon and shook her head. He was in need of a shave, and he hadn't even bothered with the contacts, as he was wearing his glasses. "What is going on?" He shook his head and led her to the back of the diner, though it happened like clockwork.
"OHMYGOD - IT'S BRENDON URIE!" Both Cat and Brendon froze dead in their tracks as about two dozen girls clad in cheerleading uniforms bounded their ways over, digital cameras in hand. "See Jessie? I told you that Panic were in town. Patrick Stump is marrying Rebecca Wentz." Cat closed her eyes as she tried to do that crowd control thing that Becca did, but to no avail. Immediately, she was thrusted cameras in her hand, and was juggling them as girls were asking for autographs and pictures with Brendon. Finally, they were done, but not before Cat finally saw one of the pictures taken with Brendon and a blond and perfect girl. He had his stage smile, one that Cat always thought resembled a mask. She shook the thought and then handed the camera back to the last girl. "Alright now. We are a bit pressed for time, so we ought to be getting to our table now." Cat pushed Brendon away, and he silently mouthed 'thank you' as she did so. "See? I told you he was straight, look how he's got his arm around me. And you said he was with Spencer, right.... And that woman with a stick shoved up her ass... Who is she? Oh yeah, don't you remember People's article this past August? That's Ryro's wife... She's a bitch isn't she?" The chatter went on and on.
By then, even Cat was staring moodily down at her tea as it was served. "You're still not used to this, are you?" She looked up, and almost saw a hint of a smile on Brendon, but only a faint one. "I'm getting used to it. I'm the bitch who took Ryro off the bachelor list, remember?" Brendon almost choked on his coffee, but quickly recovered. "Um, it's Spence - I think he's getting fed up." Cat had been buttering a piece of toast when Brendon had said that, and her knife had fallen on the table with a clatter. "Are you absolutely mad Brendon?" He shook his head and sighed as he stared down at his hands. "I hope I am. I mean, you should see the way he acts. I mean, if I even talk to him, he spaces out and forgets what the hell we were talking about in the first place. And it's like there's always something on his mind. He won't tell me. What am I doing wrong-?" Cat giggled, which caused Brendon to frown. "What the fuck Cat?" Cat shook her head choking down another giggle before she gasped out "And you wonder why we call you the girl. Stop worrying. Trust me on that one. Have I ever done you wrong?"
At this, Cat made a mental note to have Becca talk to Spence. When their food came, Brendon only picked at his food for a split second before he looked up. "Ready to go?" Cat looked down at his uneaten food and shook her head. "You didn't touch your food, at least get it to go." Brendon shrugged, as he put his card down to pay for the both of them. "B- no. No way, I can cover this." He shook his head. "Nah, I invited you. Um thanks. I think I might walk back now." Cat peered at the piss pouring rain and raised an eyebrow. "You're going to catch pneumonia if you walk through that again. I'll give you a lift back. It's on the way." Brendon hesitated, but then he relented. "Fine." Cat sighed as she unlocked the car.
"You need to get a grip Brendon. You know, I even lied to Ryan to come out here today, that I forgot about a breakfast date I had with you. You're really starting to worry me you know." Brendon rolled his eyes up and shook his head. "Look if it's a lecture I'm going to get- you can stop the car right now. I'll walk." Cat slammed on her breaks enough to make him jump and the car behind her to squeal into a stop. "If you get out of this car Brendon Boyd, I will run your sorry arse over." The rest of the ride was silent after that. Before Brendon stepped out, he looked at Cat, and looked the closest a guy could look to crying without even shedding a tear. "Cat, sorry. Um, you won't tell anyone about that bitching will you?" Cat shrugged before she offered Brendon an encourgaing smile. "B, we all know you're a bloody wanker. Now get in there before you catch something. And if I catch a word that you've gotten sick..." Brendon rolled his eyes as he closed the door. "Girls," he muttered under his breath. "Oy, I heard that, now get. My husband is supposed to be joining you lot for that secret surprise." Brendon's eyes widened as he had totally forgotten as Cat pulled away. Without another moment's hesitation, he ducked out of the rain and into the house. He would have to get changed fast, before getting caught and having a lot of explaining to do...
