'Til death parts us

"Dude, do u know how much I love that girl? I know we've only been goin' out for a week but I really do love her" Joel sat on the couch, Benji stared at a photo of the group and Harlow and realized just how much he loved her too.
How can I tell Joel that I love Harlow too? Why didn’t I realize sooner? I’ve got to tell him.
"benj,u okay? your really quiet today, something bothering you, you know you can always tell me no matter what it is.."
why didn’t I realize my feelings before? I’m such an ass,my feelings could ruin everything now, I cant tell Joel. I cant.
"JOEL! get up here now i need you!"
Benji's eyes followed Joel as he practically flew up the stairs as Harlow was shouting.
he became over-run with guilt.
how can I look either of them in the face again, one is my brother, the other is one of my best friends.

"Good morning, Mr Gloomy, what’s with the long face?" Harlow stood covered only by a towel in front of benjis' eyes. His cheeks burned and he longed to say three very important words to her, but he could only say them when he was all alone, and not with her.
He longed to hold her closely in his arms and gently kiss her soft pink lips. He knew that it was only a fantasy and he would never in a million years get the chance to tell her how he truly felt.
"Hello???" Harlow waved her hand in front of benjis' fixated eyes."Earth to benj? anyone there?"
i cant stand this anymore, i have to get out of here....
Benji grabbed his keys and slammed the door behind him, Harlow heard the car engine roar and the tyres screech as Benji sped away.


"Joel?" Harlow was worried, "JOEL!!"
"Hey!! what’s with all the shouting? some of us are trying to watch TV!" Paul rubbed his eyes and walked towards Harlow. He hugged her,
"what’s up Harlow? you look a little pale"
"Something’s not right with Benji, i said good morning to him, and he was like a zombie, he wasn't talking to me, then all of a sudden he grabbed his keys and sped off in his car"
Paul tried to reassure Harlow that Benji was probably just in a bad mood and that he probably has just gone for a drive to clear his head.
i hope he hasn't done anything stupid, i wonder what's wrong with him, he seemed fine yesterday. I wonder if I’ve done anything to upset him?
Paul finally managed to persuade Harlow that Benji would be back soon and that he was just in bad mood, he'd told Harlow that he'd probably just gone to Momma maddens'
Joel bounced down the stairs,
"Hey baby, what’s up?" he wrapped his arms around Harlow, she shrugged them off. His heart sank.
what've i done wrong?
He wandered into the kitchen and found Billy, Paul and Chris huddled together talking in low muffled voices.
"Guys do you know what’s wrong with Harlow?" Joel looked at each of them before sighing, "what can i have done wrong?, she was fine half an hour ago!" Paul stepped over to the doorway where Joel was standing,
"dude, don’t worry! u know she loves you, she's just worried about benj that’s all, he’s been off all week, even you said he’s been quiet, he's gone for a drive, Harlow thinks she' upset him somehow."
i wonder why she thinks that? have i missed something?

"Babe, im goin to get benj, i know where he'll be, after all, bein' twins, i know his hideouts!!" Joel said.
I bet he doesn't know about the time that Benji took me down to the lake, last summer.
I think it was while Joel and the guys were deciding on taking Chris on..
i can remember me and benj being bored, so he said he had a surprise for me, i had no idea where we were going. He put me in the car, i can remember the excitement in his eyes,ive never seen them like that, usually full of pain and anguish, but not
that night, they had a different look to them.
When he took my hand and got me out of the car, I looked around at the beautiful pier, we walked towards the end, we stopped and looked at each other, as i thought we were going to kiss, but instead he pushed me into the lake....
"Harlow are you there?......earth to Harlow? im gonna find benj,that okay?"
Joel looked her in the eyes, she had a glazed look, he flicked her ear in an attempt to bring her round.
what is it with people today?
Harlow shuddered, "Joel, I know where Benji will be.....trust me, im the only one who knows about this place" She looked at Joel, he looked hurt,
"baby, if you love me you'll let me go.....i know exactly where he'll be"
Joel pushed his car keys into her hand,
"if you care so much you go find him then..." and with that he stormed off upstairs.
Harlow felt bad, but she grabbed her jacket, shouted bye to Billy, Paul and Chris and slammed the door.
she couldn't stop thinking about Benji....and as she was driving she couldn't think about anything else but the night last summer, where she and Benji had kissed under the stars....

"Well that wasn't good...." Chris tried eagerly to break the un-easy silence of the house.
"I hate it when people do that, they argue about the most stupid things in the world...its not as if Benji and Harlow have got anything to hide.."
Billy and Paul looked at each other, they tried to laugh off Chris' last remark, but their lame attempts failed.
"I don’t understand.....what’s happenin between Harlow and benj?"
"Dude its a long complicated story.....u don’t wanna hear it" Paul rested his head in his hands.
"I do wanna hear this.....im confused!"
"okay..it all started last summer.....
We were on summer vacation, and we were deciding on replacement drummers, so when we spent the day with you, to find out if you were weird enough to join us! did you notice Benji wasn't there?
well....he was back here with Harlow, someone had to stay and take care of her, and we nominated benj to stay behind and look after the house and clean! it was a bad idea...
the first day we were away they were bored, so benj took her for a drive, we all knew that Benji and Joel both liked Harlow ALOT! It must be a twin thing they have!
anyways......benj rang me up and told me to ask Joel if it was okay if he took Harlow out"
"and what did Joel say to that?" Chris shuffled in his seat
"Joel looked a little hurt, but he had a quiet talk on the phone with Benji which ended up in a huge argument!, Joel slammed the phone down on benj, the last thing we all heard him say was "do what you want, i don’t care anymore” and for the whole week we spent away, Joel wouldn’t talk to Benji on the phone or answer any e-mails he sent to him, so when we finally got home, i had to take Benji out one night and find out what happened when he took Harlow out,. it turns out she and benj went to a lake, it had a pier, as they walked to the end of it, he pushed her into the water, the play fought for a bit and eventually they kissed, but they both agreed nothing would ever come of it."
"whoa! so Joel doesn't know? oh my god!" Chris looked shocked
