night time talks

Carrie's pov.





Carrie held her breath as she tried her best not to move, Kelly's chest was pressed up against her as the shorter blonds breath blew lightly against her eye. Not in her wildest dreams did she think her night would end like this. Happy in her wife's arms. But there was still doubt she worried about the morning. What would Kelly's view be then. She looked so tired with it all and the truth Carrie was too.



'Stop thinking so much......'Carrie felt Kelly whisper against her neck.



'I can't help it......'Carrie whispered back. ' I'm scared.....'



'There's nothing to be scared about.......I'm still here aren't I?......' Carrie pushed herself closer to Kelly as she spoke.



'I don't want it to be like it was.....'Carrie admitted quietly.



'We need to open our hearts again........' Kelly moved back letting Carrie turn to face her.



'Can we?....'Carrie still hadn't recovered from their first talk.



'I think we can.....'Kelly answered honestly. 'We've been so closed off for so long that it will be hard.....we really will need to work at this.........'Carrie watched her wife's lips closely as she spoke. Watched how her tongue slide out every once in a while as she spoke. Wetting her lips.



'Mmmm....'Carrie wasn't listening to her now.



'Car?.....Are your sleepy?......'



'What?...no....it....it's just......'Carrie struggled with her words.



'It's just what?......' Kelly pressed.



'Well....'Carrie sighed. ' I really want to kiss you.......' Kelly raised an eye brow at her wife.



'And what's stopping you?......'



'The image of you slapping me and making a run for the door......'Carrie answered in a whisper. Kelly couldn't help but laugh at her wife's answer.



'All those night's I was mad at you......When I wanted to rip your head clean off your shoulders.......I still welcomed your kisses...... ' Kelly ended her speak by leaving a small kiss on her wife's lips . 'Not once did I not want it......'



'You could have told me........' Carrie smiled softly.



'You know now.......'



'Wish I knew then........'Carrie leaned in kissing her wife. The kiss was soft.



'Are you scared?. 'Kelly looked into her wife's eyes. 'Are you scared to kiss me?.....' Carrie bit her lip as she nodded.



'I just don't want to mess up again.' Carrie closed her eyes as she spoke.



'Baby...open your eyes......'Kelly waited till she saw her wife's eyes. 'I thought you said you wanted to get things back to normal......'



'I do.....'



'Well for that to happen....For that to happen we can't tip toe around each other.......' 'Kelly watched as Carrie nodded in agreement.



'But if I screw up?........'



'Well.....'Kelly whispered as she kissed her wife once more. She needed to reassure her. ' we will.......It's in our nature.......'Kelly laughed. ' But lets just be ourselves.......If we aren't we will fail........' Carrie let out a long sigh as she brushed her hair out of her face.



'I love your faith in us......' Kelly's face brightened at her wife's confession.



'I just love you........' Kelly left one last kiss on her wife's lips before closing her eyes and letting sleep take over again.





Kelly's pov





Kelly's head shot from the pillow as the odd sound filled the small room, looking to her side she saw her wife still in a deep sleep. The sound she was hearing was getting louder.



'Carrie!......'Kelly shook her wife gently.



'Mmm'



'Carrie.....Wake up....i think someone in the bus........' Carrie rubbed her eyes till she wake.



'Who?.......'



'I don't know.....'Kelly voice was a whisper as the noise grew louder. 'Hear it?.....'



'Yea....'Carrie bit her lip. ' You don't know what it is?......'



'No what?....'Kelly's eyes grew as the noise continued.



'Well I think.....maybe....Ashley and Jason found each other........' Kelly turned to her wife.



'You mean......'



'Your brother and best friend are having sex.......'Carrie finished for her. Kelly's face screwed up in disgust.



'And I can......'



'And you can hear them......'Kelly buried her head in her wife's shoulder.



'Kill me now.......' Kelly was now hearing her best friends moans. 'Their animals......'





'Carrie's pov.





Carrie happily wrapped her arms around her wife as Kelly tried her best not to hear the noise filling the bus. She was thankful the blond wanted to be any where near her, any contact between them was welcomed by the country singer.



'Want me to tell them to stop?.......'Carrie whispered into her wife's ear.



'The damage is done........' Kelly buried her head into the crook over Carrie's neck. 'Help me forget.......' Kelly's soft lips tickled Carrie's neck. She had one way of helping her forget but she knew Kelly wouldn't go for that.



'Can I tell you a story?.......' Kelly nodded.



'Remember out first Christmas?.......'Carrie asked in a quiet voice. Kelly couldn't forget it, The memory still flashed in her mind.





Flashback.





'Ok I got to say....when you told me we had to spend Christmas in New York I wanted to cry....but this.....this is amazing......'Kelly stood looking out the window of their rented apartment. The window faced onto Central Park, The lights shown bright below them .



'And it's snowing.....'Carrie smiled as she held onto Kelly's waist.



'Makes me want to run in it naked......'Carrie had to give her wife an odd look.



'Well maybe not baby......but I wouldn't stop you stripping off and running around naked in here........'



'I bet you wouldn't.......'



'So your ok with spending Christmas alone?.......'Carrie kept her eyes focused on the scene outside as she waited for her wife's answer.



'I'm not alone.....'Kelly laughed softly. ' Your going to be here when I wake up right........not got anywhere to go.......'



'Actually yea I do.......'



'Where?.......'Kelly sighed.. it was just like Clive to make her work Christmas day.



'Well the kids need their gifts.......'Carrie tried to hid the smile on her face as Kelly turned to her.



'Your saying your Santa?......'



'Shhh........no one knows that.......'



'Honey please.......'Kelly giggled as she turned around to face the window again. 'with those abs you could never be Santa.......'

Carrie took one last look at her wife before slipping out the room. She knew buying a gift like this would take up so much hard work, and this was even before Kelly had opened it. Creeping down the hall towards the spare room Carrie slipped inside as she turned on the light. It didn't take her long to find it, laying curled up in a ball on the floor, Carrie's heart melted. Just as she was about to make her way towards the other side of the room the door behind her opened.



'Car?....you left the bed......'Kelly stood in the door way rubbing her eyes.



'Ehh...i thought I heard a noise......hey.....'Carrie quickly took her wife into her arms pulling her into a deep kiss. Kelly struggled to breath at the sudden kiss but quietly eased into it.



'Mmmm....baby.....'Kelly pulled her lips away from Carrie giving her an odd look.



'Yea......Carrie was trying to push her out the door.



'Baby.....something......something licked my foot........'Kelly looked down towards her feet, standing beside her was a puppy it's head cocked to the side as he looked up at Kelly.



'Merry Christmas.......'Carrie bend down picking up the small dog. 'I wanted to give you her tomorrow but....well.....' Carrie held the puppy out for Kelly to hold.



'Oh my god......what is it?......'Kelly looked at the dog closely.



'It's a dog......'



'I mean what kind.......' Kelly held the puppy close to her chest.



'Its' a chow........'



'It looks like a bear.......' Carrie smiled as the dog began licking her wife's face.



'I figure she's someone to cuddle when im not around........And she's blond......'Kelly leaned in giving her wife a kiss.



'I love her.......I love you.......'Carrie shrugged.



'I figured our little family needed a new addition........'Carrie talked but she knew her wife wasn't listening, The puppy was now licking along her cheek causing Kelly to giggle.





End Of Flashback,





'I couldn't get you away from her all that christmas......'Carrie whispered as she looked down at her wife. Her heart melted as she saw her wife sound asleep beside her.
