Alan went back to the couch and began to read his script when he heard the door buzzer.

He smiled to himself and putting his hand into his jeans pocket, went to open the door.

‘Hello…again’ He smiled slowly at Beth, who stood hesitantly in the doorway.

‘Alan…I was wondering…’ She licked her lips.

Alan knew she was nervous.

‘I mean… I know we haven’t been together for over a year and maybe I’m assuming too much…but….’

Alan interrupted her with a kiss, his mouth covering hers, his tongue licking her lips gently, his hands cupping her face.

Beth gasped as he kissed her, her heart beating so fast she couldn't catch her breath.

He lifted Beth’s hand and placed a door key into it, smiling.
