Secrets don't make friends

(Adams point of view)
Kayla was sitting next to tony at the bar but he was almost completely ignoring her. He wasn't even holding her hand like he usually did so i decided to go and talk to her.
"Hi."
"Hi, you look bored out of your mind."
"I am Tony is talking up a storm with other people."
"Oh so how have you been?" i asked trying to start converstaion
"Good but you already know what's going on with me because we talk all the time." she saw right through the false converstaion i was bringing up
"Yeah that's true."
"So how about you?"
"You already know I'm doing good too." i reply looking at the floor
"Yeah." she looked like she was trying to think of something to say we both started to laugh for no reason
"This is weird."
"I know it's never been quiet between us before." i say and she nods her head in agreement
"Have you seen any good movies lately?" she asked trying to start another converstaion like were strangers
"Uh.." I looked at the floor
"Nope you?"
"I haven't been able to go to the movies because I'd have to go alone."
"Aww." she smiled and my stomach knotted up
"I gotta go to the bathroom."
"Really?" i say excitedly and she laughs

She walked to the bathroom it kills me to know that i can never be with her because she's getting married to tony. I look over at him he looks at me and then away. I start to sip on my drink and i notice that the people he was talking to left i look up and see he's taking money from Kayla's purse again.

"What are you doing?"
"What it's Kayla's."
"Does she know?"
"No."
"Are you going to tell her?"
"No." I shake my head and Tony just smiles
"Why does it matter its none of your business."
"Yeah it is."
"Oh because you're in love with her i forgot." he says half joking
"Yeah i am." he looks shocked but the shock fades from his face and his eyes fill with anger
"What?"
"I'm in love with Kayla."
"Well she's mine."
"Really?" i say as if i didn't know
"You're just her best friend, she knows that you're an asshole."
"Ok." i say half laughing he looks really pissed i reach in my pocket for something and my wallets gone

"My wallet's gone did you take that too?!" i ask.
"No if i wanted it i would've taken it." I know he's lying
"We all know that."
"What the fuck does that mean?" he ask in an even angrier voice than before
"You know exactly what i mean don't act innocent."
"Fuck you asshole." He pulled up his fist and was ready to hit me in the face when Kayla got in the way
"Move out of the way." He pushed her
"What the fuck are you doing pushing her?" This pissed me off even more
"Why do you care? it's none of your business."
"Yeah it is she's my best friend."
"Oh i bet." I got ready to hit him the jaw but Kayla got in the way again
"Move Kayla I'm gonna kick his ass." He pushed her hard this time and she fell
"I told you not to push her." I pushed him and was going to punch him but Kayla got up and in the way
"You guys knock it off!" she pushed him away from me
"Fine." Tony left out the door probably pissed because i called him out
"Are you ok?" I asked Kayla
"I'm fine." She grabbed her purse and walked off after tony and she was probably mad too.

I sit back down and start talking to other people but i can't get my mind off of Kayla.

(Kayla's point of view)
I walked in the bar and Adam was talking to his band mates and some roadies. He noticed me right away and walked over
"I thought you left."
"I went to see what happened but tony was being a jerk so i came back here."
"Oh you're not mad at me are you?."
"No So what happened?" he looked at the floor and not at me
"Its nothing."
"You almost punched him over nothing?" i asked not looking at him
"No i almost punched him because he pushed you."
"Oh."
"Has he ever hit you?"
"No."
"if he did you'd let me know right?"
"yeah."
"Ok." he smiled at me

"So what happened?"
"Nothing." he says moving his hair from his face
"Adam."
"What?"
"why were you arguing?" he sighed and looked away
"Are you going to tell me?"
"No."
"Please." i pouted he laughed
"Fine....how much money is in your purse."
"60 why?"
"How much money is in there now?"
"Huh?" I asked confused but he doesn't say anything
"He took money from my purse?" Adam nodded
"That's why you were arguing?"
"He always takes money from you."
"what?"
"Without telling you and just now he took my wallet." i don't believe him
"I don't..."
"You don't believe me?" he ask with a bit of hurt in his eyes and i don't want to answer
"Check your purse." I open it and pull out my money there's only 20 in there
"How does 40 bucks just go missing?" he ask
"Why would he take money? all he has to do is ask."
"I don't know."
"Can we go outside its loud in here?" i ask in a soft voice to get my point across i just wanted to leave
"Yeah." we walk to the door and he opens it up for me Tony never does that for me anymore.
"He's been acting weird lately."
"what do yo mean?"
"First he was all pushy about the wedding and then he was like maybe there shouldn't be a wedding."
"Oh." he says with a weird look on his face
"What?"
"Haven't you guys been arguing a lot lately?
"Sort of why?"
"Maybe that's why."
"But he just got my name tattooed on his chest."
"Oh." he says with an even weirder look on his face.
"I don't get it though i mean he says he loves me so much but he never calls.He acts distant when he's on the road with you guys but says he misses me and when i ask to come along he gets mad."
"I don't know if i were him..." he stops talking
"What?"
"If i were him i'd never stay away from you and you'd always be here with me. I could never be away from you for a long time." i look him in the eyes and know he means it he leans in and kisses me. His lips are so soft and I slide my tongue into his mouth a few seconds later he pulls away.

"I'm sorry i shouldn't have done that." it gets quiet
"I'm just gonna go back inside." he says and walks away he doesn't look back. I stood there for a few seconds and then I walk back to the hotel alone and tears fill my eyes, i'm filled with constant reminders that i can never have adam.
