Tennant And Piper: The Evils Of Marriage And Divorce
Once inside of his apartment, David went to the bathroom to retrieve his first aid box, but had accidentally caught his reflection in the cabinet mirror on the wall in front of him.
He took note of his right eye at the black eye that was starting develop. He knew it would be completely black in the morning, and he would barely be able to see out of it.
He then took note of the bruise on his left cheek, his upper cheek bone to be more precise. He gingerly fingered the discoloured skin, and winced slightly, when it smarted at the slightest of pressure. It would be just as black and blue as his eye in the morning.
He then even more gingerly then he had his cheek, placed pressure on one of his ribs on his left hand side. He hadn’t broken or shattered it. He did not need to be a Doctor to know that.
Naturally his breathing would have been up the wall and unbearable if he had in fact done anything worse then badly bruised it. But as it were, it just hurt to breathe, hurt like a bloody bitch in fact.
‘Fucking Fox’, he thought venomously. He hoped the cheating and woman stealing tosser would feel and look worse in the morning. David had a feeling with a sense of relish and satisfaction that he would be.
David never normally took pleasure in others pain and misery, and had less then charitable thoughts, as his parents had taught and brought him up better then that.
It was just he was feeling less then charitable over the fact it was his wedding day, and his now ex-fiancée was founding riding that tosser, inside of a church, wearing her wedding gown.
And on top of that, they had not just emotionally destroyed him, but Billie also. That in David’s eyes was completely unforgivable. Hurt Billie in anyway shape or form, you wouldn’t be receiving his forgiveness, not even when hell had completely frozen over, and central heating was being fitted throughout all of hell.
And finally they got caught by John Barrowman, a dear friend of both his and Billie’s. And in front of their friends from Doctor who, likes of Russell, Camilla, Noel Clarke. Catharine Tate and Freema, they had also been subjected to it as well.
And worst of all, he had to work with the two of them in the up and coming season four. What must they have thought of the sight of him on top of Laurence and beating the shit out of him, and screaming blue bloody murder?
Sara Parish and David Morrissey, his Black Pool co-stars. Geez, what must they think of him. He could tell Sara had been stunned, and more then a little horrified, as she had helped Sophia up off of the floor.
David noted with some dry amusement, that it had been done extremely reluctantly. Yes Sara was a lot like him when it came to someone hurting Billie. Anyone caused him any physical or emotional pain then she’d give them hell.
Then there was David M. And he to like Sara was more loyal to him then someone who was basically a stranger. David M, he had handled Laurence less then gently he noted when he looked back on what had occurred back at the church.
But what had truly been beyond worse, was the fact it had all been aired out in front of his dad and Sophia’s parents. He cringed at the thought of how horrified and disappointed his mother would have been had she in fact been alive to bare witness.
His beautiful, sweet and lovable mother, oh how he missed her with all of his being. He cringed and tears filled his eyes, but he never let them spill over. Oh his beloved mother truly must have been turning over in her grave at what had happened in such a holy place.
He couldn’t handle his emotions anymore, they got the better of him, and he used his hands to brace himself against the sink. And he leaned his forehead against the soothing cool glass of the cabinet. He then truly let the tears fall for the first time.
Sobs shook his frame, as he double over, and landed on his knees. He had no idea how long he had been sobbing for, or how loud his heartbroken sobs had become. But before he could even remotely compose himself, he felt arms wrap around him, and heard Billie’s own sobs of agony and heartbreak.
Billie had been waiting in the living room, and had sobbed into David’s couch. After a couple of minutes her sobs lessened to quite tears. She took note of how long David had been gone in the bathroom to just get his first aid kit.
She stood up and slowly made her way down the short hallway to the bathroom. She noted as she went along, there were little bits and pieces indicating Sophia had lived there with David.
When she was not far from the bathroom, she picked upon a quite sniffling sound. It was hard to recognise at first, as she had never heard such a sound coming from the one who was making it.
The nearer she got to the bathroom, the louder the sound become; until she realised it was David sobbing his heart out. She felt more tears fill her eyes, and her own sobs started up again, at the sound of her best and much loved friend in agony.
David and Billie clutched each other and sank down onto the cold black white and golden tiled floor. They held onto to each other, as if their lives depended upon it. They were wrapped up in each others arms. She cried into his chest, and he cried into her hair.
After what seemed like ages, but was in fact only less then ten minutes, they pulled back slightly, enough to be able to look at each other. They were so close, that their noses were practically brushing against each other.
They stared long and hard into each others eyes. Neither was certain, nor did they care who closed the distance between them first, but their mouths suddenly came crashing down upon each others in a hard and almost frantic kiss.
