Part 4
Ben: Danny had just finished singing Chelsea Smile by Bring Me The Horizon. He was amazing. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. The guy had talent. We were all still staring at him after a good few minutes and the poor guy was looking awkward as hell. “Well? What do you guys think?” James was smirking at us, knowing exactly what we thought from the looks on our faces. I realised that my mouth was hanging open and immediately shut it. “Fucking hell, James. You’ve outdone yourself with finding this guy!” Cam looked as amazed as I was. This comment made James’ smile wider. “How long have you known him and you’ve only just found out that he’s as talented as he is? I mean, I know you’re slow but this is ridiculous!” Sam joked and James responded by throwing a cushion at him, which made Sam start laughing. Danny and Cam were smiling at the mini fight between Sam and James. I took this distraction as a chance to absorb Danny without being noticed by the others, let alone him. He quite small compared to the rest of us - but that could just be because of the age difference (only a few years but an age difference nonetheless). He had long black hair that (I noted) he had a habit of flicking to the side. It was dyed black – I could tell that from the colour of his eyebrows – but it wasn’t noticeable unless you would be taking in his appearance (like what I was doing). My eyes drifted down to his body which wasn’t too thin or too chubby. His fashion sense was a bit on the “Scene” side but it looked good on him. His too tight jeans revealed a definite bulge around the groin area which – for some reason – had me biting my lip rings again. I realised that I’d been staring too long at that particular spot of Danny, and so forced my eyes back up to his face… where I was met by a pair of dazzling blue eyes. Shit. He’d seen me looking. We both looked away from each other quickly. I felt my cheeks get hot from embarrassment – and I don’t get embarrassed easily. I looked over to James, Sam and Cam to check that they hadn’t noticed the awkward encounter between me and Danny. Nope, they were still pissing about. “So,” I said, clearing my throat and trying to gain the guys’ attention. “Is Danny in the band or what?” The other looked at each other and nodded. “Great!” I stood up and walked up to where Danny was still stood, smiling at him encouragingly. “Welcome to Asking Alexandria.”
