AUTHOR’S NOTE: I blame society…Ok, I don’t, but I blame
fandomination.net. I read an even MORE gruesome fic on there, and
I’ve long wanted to write a Dark Fic, and that story inspired me.
This fic is not at ALL for the faint-of-heart. It is gruesome. It
is grizzly…It is Dark Fic, so if you have a weak stomach, PLEASE do
not read. If you read this, it’s because you CHOOSE to do so.
THIS FIC IS NOT FLUFF! IT IS GORY AND GRAPHIC.
You have been warned.
DISCLAIMER: A work of fiction. Not intended as a statement
of fact in any way. Not-for-profit.

CHAPTER FIVE

Flake sat in the interrogating room.

One just like the type that would have been used during the heyday of the DDR.

But now, the police were much gentler, and out to help, not hurt him.

He gripped his Styrofoam cup of coffee with trembling hands.

Olli came bolting into the room.

“Flake, my GOD!” he exclaimed, wrapping Flake in his warm embrace.

“Olli…They’re dead…All of them…except for you and me…” Flake wailed, sobbing into Olli’s shoulder.

“They didn’t tell you?” Olli asked.

“Tell me what, Olli?”

“I just got back from the hospital…Schneider is stable, and so is Till. But…Paul didn’t make it, Flake…Es tut mir leid…”

Flake sobbed deeply, and Olli held him as close as he could.

Flake lifted his head, and Olli wiped his tears away.

“And…Richard?”

“He didn’t make it either.”

Flake grew solemn.

“Have you been questioned?” Olli asked.

“Ja…By this new officer they imported from the States. He is kind, but his German is sub-par so it’s been a challenge. He’s filing the report right now.”

An officer stepped into the room.

Olli looked him over. He didn’t look familiar.

He had to be at least fifty, and his silver tinged black hair was balding. What got Olli the most were his cold, brown eyes.

“Hallo there, friend of his?” the officer asked.

“Ja, Oliver Riedel.” Olli replied, extending his hand for a handshake.

The officer shook it firmly.

“Look, I need to talk to him a bit more.”

Olli turned to Flake.

“Ok, Flake…I’m going to stop by my house, and pick up some things, then I’ll use my spare key to get into your place, and I’m going to stay with you tonight, ok?”

Flake nodded softly.

Olli left, and the officer closed the door.

“Did you tell me everything you could remember?” he asked.

“Ja…that’s all I know.”

“Ok then, we’re through here.”

Both men rose, and the officer placed a hand gently on Flake’s back.

“Herr Lorenz…May I show you to your car?”
