Part Five

stay the way i am today is certainment disaster

Bam cursed and flung himself onto the couch dramatically, much to the amusement of everyone in the room. "Shut up." he said, his voice muffled as he spoke into the cushion.

"Missing Mr. Sex Puppet?"

"Quit calling him that," Bam said, turning his head so he wouldn't suffocate. "And yes."

"It's only been two weeks, you whipped bitch." Ryan said.

"Oh, fuck off." Bam said, standing up but sitting back down immediately as his cell phone rang. He pulled it from his pocket and flipped it open. "Helloooo?"

"Hey, babe."

Bam took one look at the audience he had and exitted stage right, heading for his bedroom. "Hey. I miss you."

"Well . . ." Ville said, sighing. "Do you want the good news or the bad news first?"

Bam groaned at sat down on his bed, tugging at his hair with his free hand. "Bad news."

"I'm leaving you for someone younger and blonder."

"Fuck you, Willa Walo."

"I'm coming back early." the Fin said, unable to surpress the ecstacy in his voice. "Monday, three days."

"That's our ten month." Bam said, laughing. "You pussy. You're such a girl, Ville."

"You've got the date memorized too, dumbass." When their minor laughter subsided, Ville spoke again. "There's something serious though, Bam, and I couldn't tell you before the other news."

"Ville . . ."

"We have to talk about the tour. We're supposed to start in six weeks."

"What?!" Bam snapped, standing up and kicking his trashcan. "You told me three months and now you're saying six fucking weeks?! Dammit, Ville."

"Bammie, stop it. We both knew this was going to happen." Ville said sharply. "So quit acting like a child. We'll work something out. We always do." He was met with silence. "Bam, stop it."

"Bam, stop it." the younger man said, mimicking the other in a child's tone.

"Oh, dear lord." Ville said, rolling his eyes. "I'm not going to talk to you when you're like this."

"I'm not going to--"

"Bye, Bam." Ville hung up the phone.

Bam threw his own onto the bed and grabbed a skateboard, storming down the stairs.

"Marriage problems?" Dunn asked.

"Eat shit." Bam snapped, slamming the door behind him.

"Tour got moved up." Raab said, pushing a five into the middle of the table.

"How do you know?"

"Internet."

"Damn."

"Bam, stop being such a bitch and call me. This isn't helping anything. Love you."

2:47
"Bam, this is getting really annoying. Quit acting like you're twelve."

"Bam, pick up the God damn phone."

"You know, maybe I should just stay here if you're going to ignore me."

"Okay, I'm not ignoring you." Bam said. "I'm just mad at you."

"Really?" Ville asked dryly. "I hadn't noticed."

"Why'd you move it up?" Bam asked.

"It's a business thing, baby. I don't understand that shit. Something about the right places at the right times and something else about ticket prices at a certain time." Ville said, tripping over his words like he did when he was drunk. "They just slammed us with it today."

"But--"

"Do you think I'm any happier about this than you?" Ville interrupted. "I didn't do this just to piss you off, doll."

"I know." There was a pause.

"I love you."

"Love you, too."

"I . . . I need to go, Ville." Bam said. "I need to think, 'kay? I'll call you tomorrow."

"All right." Ville said a bit uncertainly, worried that 'thinking' might end up with Bam in a cast. "Be careful. Don't do anything stupid."

"Babe, I won't stop being stupid until they put me in a casket."

"Bammie, you've already been in a casket."

"Until I'm dead in a casket, nidiot. And maybe not even then. Now give me a kiss and go to bed, Willa Walo."

Ville rolled his eyes and made a kissing noise into the phone. "Love you, although I don't know why for the life of me."

"Love you, too. And I know why. 'Night."

"'Night, doll."

Bam sighed as he hung up the phone, tears pricking his eyes. I'm not going to cry. I'm not. He couldn't stand being away from Ville for two weeks, how was he going to manage a four month tour? Don't cry. Don't cry.

But it didn't work. Within ten minutes his pillow was soaked in tears.

"Dammit."

just relax and greener grass will grow here for a change
maybe then we'll last a million years or more or more or more
