Fools Rush In

Fools Rush In

Zac and Nikki had gone to see Hairspray. The Broadway version had finally come to Vegas. They were lucky to get two tickets at the last minute. The guy in the box office told Zac and Nikki, that the seats was at the back, as they were two of six remaining seats, and they were seriously lucky to have them on such short notice.

Zac took in Nikki’s appearance. He liked what he saw. She was dressed in a woollen midnight black skirt that reached just below her knees, paired with a vibrant crimson turtle neck jumper, with a black belt around her waist. To finish a pair of black ballerina flats and a knee cap length black coat.

Nikki and Zac loved the show, Nikki especially. Nikki admitted to Zac that she had always loved musicals. That she could sing and dance, and had acted in several high school productions.

She also admitted she had applied to be Tracy Turnblad the year before, but had been informed she was too young. Zac had been surprised and asked, how come she hadn’t auditioned for other roles if she knew how to sing and dance and act?

Nikki had told him, that he of all people should be aware that if you weren’t a size zero, or looked a certain way, then you didn’t stand much of a chance. That they were always looking for a certain look, talent didn’t even come into it if you weren’t supporting the right look, body in particular.

Zac realised she was right. He told her he didn’t agree with how Hollywood was so bothered by how a person looked. That he felt that talent should be what matters and not how a person looks.

As soon as they had left the theatre, they headed back to the hotel. Nikki asked Zac if Lucas and Corbin had girl friends. Zac told her no they didn’t. Nikki asked in that case could she invite her cousins and their friends over. As Katie fancied Lucas and Stacy fancied Corbin.

Zac smirked and told her that he did not see why not. That the agreement he and the guys had made that weekend would probably not stand. And that Lucas and Corbin were probably on the prowl, even as they were speaking.

Nikki asked how old Lucas and Corbin were. Zac told her Lucas was twenty one and Corbin was sixteen. Nikki confirmed Katie was twenty and Stacy was sixteen, the same age as Corbin.

Zac and Nikki arrived back at the hotel at ten to ten. They first of all stopped off at Lily’s hotel room. Nikki asked the girls if they wanted to come along and meet Lucas and Corbin.

Katie and Stacy were the only two who accepted and squealed in delight. Zac had to stifle a smirk. He wondered how Lucas and Corbin would react to Katie and Stacy. Nikki seemed to be more reserved then the other two girls.
