Part 5
Chapter Five
We were sitting in a small Italian restaurant in Covent Garden, not far from the Theatre. I swirled my Amaretto around in the glass, watching the ice slowly melting and listening to the music that was blaring out of the speakers. There were not many people there now, it was almost 11.30 p.m. and Alan had gone to pay the bill.
We hadn’t stopped talking since we arrived and my nervousness with him had completely disappeared. Knowing he liked me, well, more than liked me, helped a lot. He was an amazing man and so very different to what I had expected. He knew so much and was such a good listener, always paying attention to what I was saying and taking his time to think before answering. It was flattering. He was funny, too and knew some great stories. We had laughed a lot, the red wine flowed freely and after 2 bottles and a couple of Amaretto’s I was feeling very mellow.
Alan walked back to the table and smiled down at me. ‘Ready to go, Carrie?’ He spoke quietly but with meaning, his eyes speaking volumes.
‘I am, definitely. But I really need to pop home quickly and get some things, if that’s ok with you?’ I smiled at him slowly as I stood up.
He stepped close to me and put his hand on the small of my back as he guided me out of the restaurant. ‘You just want to make me wait even longer….’ He growled at he but I could feel him smile against my ear.
Ten minutes later we pulled up in a cab outside my flat and I groaned as I saw Tina wave at me from the upstairs window.
‘You’d better wait here…’ I looked at Alan ‘I will be no more than 5 minutes, I promise.’ I leant into him and kissed him on his full lips, smiling as he groaned when I pulled away and jumped out of the cab.
‘Don’t be long…’ He called after me.
I opened the door of the flat and ran quickly upstairs and into my room, grabbed a rucksack and started to throw in toiletries, clean underwear and perfume, as well as my sexiest nightwear, a shortie nightdress with a cheeky split up the side in shocking pink stretch lace, my favourite colour. I threw in the matching lace knickers and went to grab my toothbrush from the bathroom when I bumped into Tina.
‘You’re late…’ She grinned at me, her curly ginger hair shaking around her shoulders as she smiled at me.
‘Yeh, I am and I’m not staying…’ I walked past her and grabbed my toothbrush, throwing it into my bag.
‘Oh my god! You’ve pulled someone hot at the theatre!’ Tina grinned at me. ‘Is it Alan?’ She giggled.
I stared at her for a brief second before I composed myself. ‘God Tina! As IF!!. If you must know, his name is Cal, he’s got black spiky hair and he’s very cute!’ I grinned at her, hoping my eyes didn’t give away my white lie. ‘And he’s waiting downstairs in the cab so I better go… seeya!’
I flew back down the stairs and jumped into the back of the cab, closing my eyes as my heart pounded. I smiled as I felt Alan cover my hand with his and the cab pulled away.
The cab pulled up outside his flat and grabbing my hand, Alan pulled me up the steps. He fumbled with his keys in his haste to open the door and dropped them.
‘Shit…’ He muttered and bent to pick them up. When he stood again, I stood in front of the door. He seemed in such a hurry and I wanted to slow him down, enjoy the anticipation. He stopped and looked at me, I was standing in front of the lock.
‘You know, there is no rush, Alan. ‘ I spoke softly and licked my lips until they were moist, my heart was racing with lust ‘I am not going anywhere.’
Alan took a deep breath and relaxed his shoulders. ‘You’re right. Too keen…’ He smiled, his eyes sparkling in the reflected street lighting and leaned in, covering my mouth gently with his in a soft, sensuous kiss. He gently licked my lips with the tip of his tongue and I could feel my legs trembling.
He grinned at me and I knew he must have noticed how his one gentle kiss had turned me to jelly.
‘Can I open the door now?’ He was still grinning. I stepped aside and gasped as the sleeve of his jacket brushed across my breasts as he reached forward. I closed my eyes slightly and heard him chuckle.
‘You’re as ready for this as I am, Carrie…’ He whispered sexily into my ear and I felt his hand stroke my bum before he stepped inside the flat.
I walked in behind him and closed the door. Alan flicked the light switch and the hallway was bathed in gentle light from sidelights on the wall.
‘Alan… can I grab a quick shower? I really need to freshen up…’ I spoke quietly, the atmosphere was too charged for anything louder.
‘Me too… you go first, I will get us a drink. The shower is just off the bedroom, second door on the left.’ I started to walk where he had pointed and he called to me.
‘Carrie… ‘ He was leaning against the wall, the light silhouetting him and making his lithe frame all the more appealing.
‘Yes, Alan?’ I replied.
‘I meant what I said earlier. You really are gorgeous…’ He grinned slowly and I felt myself blushing.
‘Thanks! You’re not bad yourself…’ I smiled at him and wandered of in the direction of the shower.
