Family Tradition
Revelations? Pt 3
A/N: Okay, so like I said before, this is the plot that Cat and I came up with, so if you don't like, maybe you should forgo this story for a bit. So this is a bit of fluffy slashy goodness in the making. And if you haven't noticed, I've taken Spencer's side of things, while Cat takes Brendon's. To see Brendon's coming to grips and coming out to Cat, check Cat's story (you won't regret it, it's a goodie!). I fully understand that while these guys aren't (so far as anyone knows) gay or such, this is fiction, so just deal with it. :) So hope you guys enjoy. Here goes the newest chapter for my lovelies. *hugs*

Rebecca and Cat made their way out to Becca’s car and started off in the direction of Jon’s place where the boys stayed. That would be the logical way to start, as she was sure that the boys would head in that direction, hopefully not getting into any sort of trouble while they were out. That would be the last thing any of them needed. Becca was going even slower than she normally did trying to look out for either of the boys.
“So, how did you come to know of the love story we seem to have on our hands?”
“Well… it all begins with the line ... 'Save a Drum, bang the drummer’... Brendon called me earlier and asked if I wanted to do something, he sounded serious, so I agreed. Then I suggested we stop to get something to drink to calm his nerves. The poor boy was a wreck when he finally confessed everything. Apparently this thing has been forming for quite some time, on his side at least. But what did Spencer say?”
“Well at first he tried the ‘I have a friend that ...’ ploy. But then I managed to get him to slip up and tell me. He has at least realized something was up since he was stupid and went on a drugged rampage that night. Glad to know it’s at least returned.”
“Yeah, that could have been messy if not.”
“Very messy and ugly.”

Spencer walked down the dark street, not really thinking about much at the moment, only that he had just been caught by the person who had only recently become a bit of a crush type. God, things were certainly messed up at the moment for him. Becca had assured him that things would work out and such, but god, what if they didn’t? That could mean the end of the band. Ryan would kill him for that, he was sure. He didn’t even know what the others were going to say. After all, he had been so keen on letting them think that it was Becca that had him in such a mess lately. He didn’t know what they would think when they found out about the real meaning behind his fits lately.
Here would be a good spot to sit for some time to think. Spencer walked off from the main road area into what looked like a park area over to a bench and sat down heavily, dropping his head to his hands. He would have to sort things out for himself before heading back over to Jon’s place for the rest of the night. At least the walk in the slightly cool air had done one good thing, he wasn’t nearly as drunk as he had been before. But then again, it could be the fear/shock of being caught by Brendon just as he was barely coming to grips with things himself.
Spencer glanced up as he heard footsteps approaching. It was probably just one of the girls coming to pick him up and make sure he made it back to Jon’s place all safe and sound. Although he froze for a moment seeing that it wasn’t one of the girls, but Brendon. Spencer took a deep breath as Brendon sat down on the bench beside him.
“Hey.”
“Hey, about that --- “
Just as Spencer was about to apologize and such, Brendon put a finger to Spencer’s lips. Spencer felt his pulse quicken a little. This so wasn’t happening. Was it? Although he was sure he would faint at the next thing that happened. Brendon leaned over and replaced his finger with his lips.

“Isn’t that Brendon’s car?!”
“Yeah, it looks like it. Pull over and let’s see what’s going on.”
Becca pulled over into the parking lot for a local public park. What would Brendon be doing at a park? Unless, he had seen Spencer, and was going to try and smooth things over. She slowly got out of her car and walked around the front of her car, trying to get her eyes adjusted to the darkness so she could try and see what was going on, or if she could find Brendon and Spencer before they got into trouble.
“There! Over on the park bench over there. But let’s try to keep them from seeing us. I would certainly hate to be embarrassed like that.”
Rebecca nodded and followed Cat as they walked over a little to where they could get a better view of what was going on down on the park bench, although as she saw what was happening, she bit her bottom lip to keep from giggling. It looked like they were having fun on their own, and had more than come to terms with the recent developments and such. She grinned and gave Cat a quick hug. It seemed that things for those two would be working out on their own.
“Becca?”
“Hmm?”
“Think we ought to give them a bit of privacy?”
Becca laughed and nodded, starting back to her car, with a grin on her face. If the sight of the two making out on the park bench was any indication, the two were fine on their own. The two headed back to Jon’s so Becca could drop off Cat, as she was staying with the boys as well (obviously). They even managed to fend off the few curious questions from Jon and Ryan, who had gotten back from the meeting thing with Pete earlier.
The girls simply told the other two that Brendon and Spencer were on their way, that they had been stopped on the way over by something, but assured the boys that it wasn’t anything bad. Jon had chuckled about one particular fangirl he had seen Brendon eyeing up a few times, and Ryan just shook his head with a smirk.
After all, what they didn’t know wouldn’t hurt them. And it wasn’t their place to tell everyone else what the two boys had shared with them anyways. A secret was a secret. At least until it was ready to come out, of course. And with the manner of this secret and those involved, it would be out sooner than later.
