Chapter Six
Chapter Six
Molly awoke to find herself alone in the Imagination Room. She stretched and noticed the blanket that now covered her that hadn't been there the night before. She smiled secretivley, knowing that it must have been Chris who covered her up. Standing up and wrapping the blanket around her to ward off the chill, she padded barefoot softly down the hall. Seeing no sign of Chris, but hearing his shower running upstairs, she thought she'd surprise him with breakfast. Folding the blanket and putting it on a chair, she searched the fridge, looking for sausage and eggs. Finding what she was looking for, She turned to the counter to set down her things. Seeing a radio sitting there, she flipped it on, leaving it on the station it was set on. As she fixed breakfast for herself and her lover, smiled at that thought and at the song on the radio.
I said I wanna touch the earth
I wanna break it in my hands
I wanna grow something wild and unruly
I wanna sleep on the hard ground
In the comfort of your arms
On a pillow of bluebonnets
In a blanket made of stars
Oh it sounds good to me
Cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can
Into the wild blue
Set me free oh, I pray
Closer to heaven above and
Closer to you -- closer to you
Chris stood leaning on the doorway, watching Molly sway her hips in time to the music as she fixed biscuits and gravy. He smiled softly as she joined her hypnotic voice with that on the radio. He was amazed at the reaction of his body to the close proximity of hers. Amazed at how badly he wanted her again.
I wanna walk and not run
I wanna skip and not fall
I wanna look at the horizon
And not see a building standing tall
I wanna be the only one
For miles and miles
Except for maybe you
And your simple smile
Oh it sounds good to me
Yes it sounds so good to me
Cowboy take me away...
Molly was happily finishing the eggs when she turned around and saw Chris watching her in the doorway. A slight flush spread across her body. "Hi.", she said shyly, reaching over to turn down the radio.
Shoving himself off the doorframe, Chris walked over to her and wrapped his arms lightly around her waist. "Good morning, gorgeous." Bending down, Chris covered her lips with his own. It seemed like his body became more alive as soon as he touched her. He remembered the way she had felt in his arms the night before and how sweetly she had given herself to him. Pulling away, he looked once again, into her cobalt eyes. "Sleep well?"
She nodded and laid her head upon his naked chest. Taking a deep breath, she breathed in the smell of soap and man and something that was just elementally...Chris. A sly smile crossed her lips as an idea entered her mind. Turning her head slightly, she lightly placed her open mouth on his chest, sucking slightly to leave a 'love bite'. He sucked in a deep breath at the feel of her mouth on his body and lightly held her away from him. "Molly, if you get me started, we'll never get around to breakfast."
Laughing, she playfully slapped his shoulder and gave a little yelp of surprise when he pinched her bottom. Grinning, Chris sat down at the table and waited to see if Molly would start the conversation. "So, how do you like your eggs?" she asked, not turning to look at him. He shrugged.
"Cooked is good." She turned and stuck her tongue out at him. "Don't stick it out unless you plan on using it." he warned. She simply arched a brow in his direction and turned back to the task at hand. A few minutes later, Molly asked him to pour the juice she'd made. Obliging her and setting the table as well, he sat down as she served their breakfast. Chris dug into the delicious biscuits and gravy, eggs and hash browns. After breakfast was finished and the dishes were done, with a minimal of speaking, Chris turned and took Molly by the hand. Pulling her behind him into the living room, he sat them down on the sofa and turned to face her.
"Molly, I think we should talk about what happened last night."
Mistaking the concern in his voice for regret, she immediately mentally shielded herself. Waving his hands away from her she said calmly, "I wish you weren't sorry it happened, Chris. But I'm not going to apologize for myself. I did what I wanted and I'm a big girl..he whe was stopped by the look of shock on Chris' face.
"Sorry it happened?! Molly, sorry is the furthest emotion from my mind!" He moved forward, leaning his forehead against hers. "I was talking about you being a virgin..." Molly blushed. "Why me, sweetheart? Why not someone else? Spike? Shane? One of the other guys you've dated..."
"I-I just d-didn't feel the same with them." Taking one of his hands in both of hers, she brought it slowly to her lips, gently kissing his fingertips. "I've never felt like this before..." Chris watched her watching him, suddenly realizing what she was saying. Pulling her forward, he kissed her softly.
"I care about you too, Molly."
She smiled up at him. Suddenly she wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of the day with him, doing stupid things, foolish things. She stood and reached for him. "C'mon. Let's go!" Following her up the stairs and to her room, he asked, "Are we going where I think we're going?" Chris grinned lavashishly as he follwed her into her room. Molly smirked.
" Yes, but only so I can take a shower and get dressed. We're going go-cart racing today!" She rummaged through her clothes as Chris watched ,appreciatively, her butt as she bent over to pick up something she dropped. Hearing her statement, he paused in his erotic thoughts. "Go-cart racing? Where are we--" She cut him off mid-sentence.
"I saw a sign when we were on the way to the hospital. There's a track not far from here." Picking up her clothes and heading to the bathroom, she looked seductively over her shoulder. "Is that okay with you?" Imaging Molly naked under the warm water, lathering herelf with soap had made him instantly hard. He swallowed through his throat's sudden dryness.
"Uh, yeah -- sounds great."
Molly closed the door part way. Inside Chris could hear the t-shirt and sweats she'd worn the night before, hit the floor. Peeking around the door, only her head and neck showing, Molly looked at Chris expectantly. "Are you coming?"
"Almost." he muttered as he grinned, stripping as he made his way to the shower and the woman he was starting to fall in love with.
