Scary

She felt strange. She felt bad for Mike, but on the other hand, she knew how much he’s hurt Billie and it almost felt good to see him cry. As if he deserved it.

“Mike…” she walked to the bench and set down next to Mike and Tre.

“Yes” he looked at her with obvious nervous anticipation.

“He didn’t try to kill himself, it was an accident”

Mike started crying harder. Tre gave Adie a sad look. Everything just seemed to go totally wrong. As if something in the train of their lives got broken and now little by little everything crashes down. Like a curse.

“Can I see him?” Mike asked the doctor when he came up to them.

“Not right now, he needs rest” Dr White looked at Mike’s teary face “I think you do too. Why don’t you go home and come back in a few hours if you want. He’s asleep now anyway”

“Let’s go” Tre helped Mike up “I’ll take you home”

They walked down the hall with almost everyone staring at them due to Mike’s unstoppable crying.

“Maybe you should go too, Miss Nesser” the doctor smiled at Adrienne.

“No, I’ll stay here if that’s okay”

“Sure” Dr White smiled softly “I think he’s asleep by now, you might find the chair in his room more comfortable”

“Thank you”

She entered Billie’s room and saw him sleeping in this hospital bed. He seemed so helpless and weak. Why did everything have to fall on him at the same time? And will he be able to cope with it all?

Tré walked Mike to his bed. Mike took off his clothes slowly and crawled under the blanket. Under different circumstances this could all be sexy, but this was out of the question now. Even though Mike was madly in love with Tre, he felt guilty for it. Even though Adie said it wasn’t a suicide attempt, he still felt like it was his fault that Billie is now…

“Mike, please…” Tre wiped tears from Mike’s face.

“I’m sorry” He wasn’t usually like that, but this was breaking him down. “Tre…”

“Yes”

“Can you stay with me tonight? You can sleep in the guest room. Just please, don’t leave me alone”

“Okay”

Mike continued crying until 2 am, and kept sobbing even in his sleep. Tre never left his bedroom and fell asleep in the arm-chair near Mike’s bad. He was scared of how strong Mike’s breakdown was. He’s never cried like this before. It was truly scary.

Mike woke up and saw Tre sleeping in the chair. He smiled at how cute he was. Mike took a shower and woke up Tre. Soon they were ready to go to the hospital to see Billie again.

Adie had been there all night. Billie never woke up, but she still stayed there, just in case. When he did wake up and saw her sleeping in the chair near his bed, he smiled at how cute she was. It was so nice of her to stay there for him. You’re all I have he though again. This is so fucking scary
