chapter 6
Once again I apologize for the shortness of the chapters. I have no excuse, I'm just lazy and can't be bothered to wait until I've written more!
They entered the pirate bar to see Dunn and Rake blushing and looking uncomfortable while everyone else tried to stifle their laughter.
"What's going on?" Bam asked, suspicious of the way everyone was acting.
"Nothing." Dunn muttered, refusing to make eye contact.
"Nothing, my ass. What happened?"
Dico couldn't control his laughter at Bam's words. "Your ass is right. I dared Dunn and Rake to go and hide your hummer to piss you off. Apparently you were already in there!!"
"Fucking hell." Bam swore "Please tell me you didn't come in."
"NO!" they exclaimed, disgusted. "Hearing you two at it from outside was more than enough" grimaced Rake.
They were interupted from more teasing when Ville's cell phone rang. "It's the record company." Ville stated, looking nervous.
"It'll be ok, don't worry." Bam soothed, squeezing his shoulder gently.
Ville flipped open his phone and stuttered a greeting to the person on the other end of the line. Bam watched his face intently for any sign of how the conversation was going as Ville was giving nothing away with the tone of his voice.
By the time Ville hung up, Bam was practically bouncing off the walls. He'd always hated not knowing what was going on and this was driving him crazy.
"So? What did they say?" Bam questioned impatiently.
Ville grinned. "We got it! his infernal majesty are now signed to Sire!"
"Oh my god!!" Bam threw his arms around Ville, not caring what anyone thought or said, just happy that Ville had got what he wanted.
"They actually liked us Bam, they said they think we have a lot of talent." Ville's voice was laced with wonder as he returned Bam's embrace.
"Of course they did dumbass, you guys are gonna be huge."
"How do you know? You haven't even heard us."
"I don't need to hear you to know that. They have you as a singer, the girls will be falling over themselves to see you!"
"It's a shame I don't like girls then isn't it." said Ville seriously, looking into Bam's eyes. They stood that way for a few long moments locked in an embrace and lost in each others eyes.
"Ok, first of all-eew. How sappy can you two get? and secondly, have you forgotten about us, just sitting here waiting for you two to finish getting mushy."
Bam sighed frustrated and turned to his friends. "No, Novak, I haven't forgotten you. I'd LOVE to but you won't. fucking. let. me." Bam said slowly through clenched teeth and Novak paled slightly remembering other times Bam had been that angry at him and the pain that had followed.
"Y'know, forget what I just said, I'm an idiot. Carry on, it's cute- really." Bam couldn't help but laugh at his friend's screwed up way of apologizing.
"I really wanna go and tell the rest of the band about the contract but I don't wanna leave you so soon, so why don't you come with me and meet them?"
Bam agreed and grabbed his jacket, calling goodbye behind him as he ran up the stairs. "Hey, can we take the lambo?" Bam asked giggling.
"Of course sweetheart, I might as well be in it now I've been on it!!"
As they walked throught the kitchen on the way to the garage, they were stopped by Bam's parents. "Cn we talk to you both for a moment?" Ape asked, and both boys approached the counter curiously.
"Listen honey. We're both pleased that you're happy and Ville, you seem like a wonderful young man but..."
"But what?" Bam demanded
"But we're worried you might be moving a little quickly. You've only known each other a few days and have you even talked about your relationship? I mean, are you a couple now? because what happens when Ville goes back to Finnland?"
Ape's last question stunned Bam. H ehadn't even thought of that. One look at Ville's face showed that he had just realized the same thing.
"We'll sort it Ape, don't worry." Bam muttered. He turned and walked out to the garage, Ville following closely. They got in the car in akward silence and Bam pressed play on his cd player as they drove so CKY blasted out of the speakers, covering the tension with noise.
"You like CKY too huh?" Ville asked quietly. "They're one of my favourite bands."
"Yeah my brothers their drummer."
"Wow that's cool."
"You didn't know that." Bam's voice was flat and emotionless.
"No." Ville was confused about the statement.
Before anything else could be said, Bam swerved the car off the road and into an empty parking lot, before switching off the engine, cutting off the cd and letting the deafining silence settle between them.
She's right you know." Bam's voice sounded loud, cutting through the quietness of the car and it made Ville jump.
"We never talked about what's gonna happen. Do you know when you have to go back home?"
Ville didn't answer and instead looked out of the window, watching as the sun started to set.
"Ville, answer me. When are you going back?"
"Now we have a contract, we have to go home and start working on what songs we want on our first album so we'll probably have to leave tomorrow afternoon or the day after."
Bam couldn't speak, couldn't move. He felt like his heart had just been ripped apart and he thought the pain was going to kill him.
"Were you actually gonna tell me?" He choked out eventually. "Were you ever going to tell me you were leaving or were you just going to disappear?" Bam was getting angry now, his hurt pouring out into his words. "Is that all the last few days was to you? Just a quick romance while you were in the country and then forgotten about?"
"No, of course not. How can you say that? If anything, I should be the one concerned. How do I know that I'm not just a rebound fling for you after your girlfriend." Ville shot back, stinging from the accusations Bam was throwing at him.
"Leave Jenn out of this. This is about us. You must have known roughly how long you'd be here but you didn't think to say anything?" Bam yelled.
"You didn't mention it either, you know." Ville screamed back. "I'm not the only one to blame here, you knew I wasn't here to stay but you never asked, so stop trying to put all the blame on my shoulders."
"Fuck you. Why did you come on to me in the first place knowing you were only here a week. I obviously didn't mean anything but a quick fuck when you were bored." Bam shouted. He knew he'd gone too far as soon as the words left his mouth so he didn't do much other than flinch as Ville's hand connected with the side of his face.
"You bastard. If that's what you think of me, that I'm just some whore who fucks random guys, then you're not worth all of this. I'm gonna walk the rest of the way beacuse I can't stand to be anywhere near you." Ville got out of the car, slamming the door behind him. Halfway across the parking lot he stopped and turned.
Bam could see the tear tracks on Ville's face from the streetlight shining on him. "Not that you care but I know we hadn't known each other very long but I wasn't using you for a quick fuck. I don't care if you believe me or not but I...." Ville took in a shaky breath. "I loved you Bam, so continue to think of me as a cheap whore if you want to, but remember that I loved you."
Bam sat in his car, watching until the outline of Ville's figure walking away, couldn't be seen anymore. "I loved you too Ville." He whispered brokenly, before finally allowing the tears to fall, crying harder then he ever had before until he finally cried himself to sleep.
