Annoying
Chapter 6
A/N: So, so sorry it took me awhile to get this chapter up...I was busy with turkey day, then I'm preparing for my finals in school...so my updates may start to take a bit longer then usual...but I promise to get them up as soon as possible.
Big, huge, giant thanks to:

Anyone taking the time to read this :)
Chapter 6:
Kaoru didn’t really have to struggle to get me out of bed the next morning. I was gradually starting to get used to the time change.
I took my quick shower, got dressed, and even attempted to comb my horribly messy hair. I actually succeeded…sorta…at least it looked like I tried.
I then proceeded to apply my sorry excuse for make up. Don’t get me wrong though, I did love mascara. It made my blue-grey eyes stand out more.
As usual, I grimaced at the scar running through my eyebrow. It made my eyebrow look funny. It was annoying.
I walked out of the bathroom, grabbed my usual shoes, and left the hotel room.
Once again, I ended up being squished in the car. How come I always ended up in the middle?
I was grateful when I was finally able to get out of the car.
I hated being squished. I tried to avoid things that could get me squished as much as possible (i.e.: mosh pits, etc.).

After hours of practice, Kaoru decided it was finally time for a break.
I decided to go for a small walk after sitting on the same goddamn couch for the past few hours.
Outside, I came across Kyo having a smoke.
I grimaced. I didn’t like smoking. The acrid smell was just atrocious.
Of course, my grimace didn’t go unnoticed by him.
“You don’t like smoking?” he asked me.
“Nope. I fail to see what’s so appealing about a mixture of tar, nicotine, tobacco, and god knows what else,” I sardonically responded.
“Besides,” I continued, “It can do some serious damage to your body.”
I inwardly winced. Now I sounded like a know-it-all. I was very far from knowing it all.
“This coming from the alcohol lover,” Kyo dryly shot back.
“Yeah…well…well…” Dammit. He had me there.
“Well?” he asked, eyebrows raised.
“Well…when your voice gets all screwy because of all your smoking, I’ll be there to point and say ‘I told you so’.”
Great. Now I sounded like a five year old.
Kyo’s response to my statement was exhaling a bunch of smoke in my face.
“Nice,” I muttered, waving the cloud of smoke out of my face.
He threw his cigarette on the ground and stubbed it out with his foot.
“Coming?” he asked me, pulling the building’s door open.
“Yeah. Thanks,” I mumbled, walking past him, into the building.
I was confused. Again.
First, we were both arguing. Then, we’re…civil (for lack of any better words) to each other. Then, back to arguing. Then, we’re back to…you get the idea.
It was enough to confuse anyone.
Therefore, I was very confused.
I plopped back down onto the same couch and watched as everyone got ready to get back to practice.
When Kyo began to sing, he stared at me.
It wasn’t one of those creepy stares. It wasn’t blank, either. It was…I don’t know.
See what I mean?
Very confusing.

Practice was finally over.
It went fairly smoothly…Kaoru was satisfied.
That meant no murders or broken guitars, which was good.
…and most people seem to think that I have a short temper…
Much as I was getting bored as practice drug on and on, I wasn’t happy to be squished in the car. Again.
I think I was purposely being stuck in the middle. It was starting to piss me off.
Land really was a great thing when you’re stuck in car with way too many people. You appreciate it a lot more.
I entered the hotel and went straight for me and Kaoru’s room.
Standing outside the door, I began to dig around in my pockets for the room key that Kaoru had given me earlier.
I wasn’t able to find it.
Kaoru came up behind me and asked, “Can’t find it?”
“No,” I replied, somewhat defensively. “Forgot it.”
He snorted, pulled out his own room key, and gave me a look that said ‘you’d be screwed without me’.
I took a few steps back so he could open the door.
Sure enough, I saw my room key sitting on the nightstand.
I picked it up and shoved it deep into my pocket.
With my kind of luck, I’d forget it when Kaoru’s not around.
Then, I really would be screwed, after all.
I dropped onto the bed, picked the remote to the television, turned it on, and began flipping through channels.
There was nothing good on at the moment. That meant boredom.
I turned the TV off and began digging through one of my bags.
I pulled out a book. ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
It may have been a sappy romantic book, but I absolutely loved it.
It was a classic.
I cracked the book open and slipped off into my own oblivious little world.
I noticed that that was something I did quite often.
Maybe I actually did have some issues…
A/N: I realize that this chapter was kind of short, but I deided that it would be good to end it there, so I wouldn't make it drag on and eventually become annoying AND pointless. I promise to make the next chapter longer :).
