A Step Closer To Hell Book 3-Breaking Ryan Ross
Day 1
The next morning, I was dreaming of the guys. They were loving me, but my dream was broken.
“Get up! It was Pete’s voice. As I scrambled out of bed, I felt a hard wooden paddle across my buttocks.
“You were told what time, you needed to be up, dressed and have your bed made. This was not done!
The Paddle came down several times again. Since you are late, you will still do what was expected of you, except now you have to wait until lunch time.” Pete informed me. I went in, showered, and got dressed. Came out and made my bed. Pete inspected it.
“You know not only are you late, Patrick has to wait to do the things I asked him to do.”
“Like what?”
“I asked him to show you the basement. It is now six o’clock, we don’t waste time here.”
“Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?”
“You need to feel for the rhythm of the routine, have your ears finely tuned, to distinguish when the day begins. I will be discussing this with Brendon and the other two when they come today.”
My heart leapt with joy, I remembered that was the very thing, I was looking forward to.
“Ryan!!! I came out of my reverie. That was the fourth time I called your name. Why did I have to call your name so many times?!”
“I wasn’t listening.” I confessed to Pete.
“Exactly. Pete turned me around, again with the paddle. I think that you had better start to develop the ability to pick my voice out of the other noises in your world. When you hear my voice, you should perk up your ears. From now on, if you fail to respond because you ‘weren’t listening’, I will beat you.”
I met with Patrick, and we went to the basement…

Basement
-----------------
“This is the place you want to avoid. In the basement, there were posts, and metal rods.
This is where most of my punishment is given, I am tied to one them posts and I am hit with one of those metal rods. Sometimes I am put down here, for a while if I am disobedient. I have a cage too."
“Last night.” I started.
“Last night was nothing compared to what usually happens. He mentally tears me down a lot. I don’t dare cry, when I’m disciplined, otherwise I get beaten harder.. One time we were in a restaurant and Pete ordered for me, I didn’t like what he got me; the order was cancelled and I was given nothing but water.”
“He’s very hard.” I commented.
“Pete told me life is hard, you never get anything, unless you’ve earned it.’
“Are you to be calling him by his first name?’
“Why, are you going to tell him I did?”
“No.” I assured him.
Pete came down, to the basement.
“This tour should be wrapped up and over.” Pete told us.
He led us back up the stairs, when we entered the room, it was as if I my heart had wings, there was Brendon sitting there, with Spencer and Jon.
I ran over and tried to hug them.
“Sit down.” Pete told me. I sat down.
“So how did this first morning go?” Brendon asked. Pete showed him the paper. After reading it.
“Did he do this?”
“No, he was late getting up.”
“Ryan.” Brendon gave me a glaring look when he said it.
“I did discipline him, however. If an alarm clock is needed for the first two days, I can accommodate.”
“No, you will not. It's your house, your rules. He needs to learn to observe them.” Spencer said, also glaring at me.
“This is what I am trying to instill in him, and have you follow through. When Ryan is given a task, or a command, he is to do that task, and follow the command. It is more than he doing what he is told. It’s doing what he is told- without question, without challenge, without excuse without delay.”
Brendon sat thoughtful.
“But, sometimes.” Brendon started.
“No Ifs ands or buts. Patrick has learned that when I speak for the first time, I have spoken for the last time. You must challenge disobedience and persevere until the lessons of submission are learned. Submission will draw you and Ryan together. The lesson is not over until he is humble…when his will is submitted to you.” “If after a time of submission, Ryan lacks proper humility, the method chosen obviously did not work, and should be repeated until firm.”
“I agree.” Spencer replied.
“Do you agree, Brendon?” Pete asked.
“I’m not sure.”
“You are the authority, Brendon. Your authority should never, ever be undermined, in a nut shell you have the power to make or break him.” He turned to Jon. What do you think Jon?”
“I think it’s productive and well thought out.”
“So Brendon, are you willing to give this a shot? Because it would be a total waste of time to give him these sessions, teach you the methods of these exercises if your are not willing to continue with them, after he leaves here.
Brendon agreed, the three of them signed the paper, Pete signed. I signed last.
They would come everyday for twenty minutes. So he can show them, how Patrick became so obedient and humble.
I loved the three of them dearly. I can't believe they are actually going to learn how to crush my soul. Pete had crushed Patrick’s a long time ago.
I wonder what would happen, if I ran away.
