Chapter 6

Ella drug herself to work knowing that if she didn't go today, she'd more then likely not have a job. She called Arianna on the way home, "Arie!" She said gleefully as soon as she heard her pick up the phone.

"Ella?" Arianna replied, "What's going on?"

"I just have to talk to you," Ella said enthusiastically.

"Um...okay. Did you want me to come over after work?" She asked seemingly confused by Ella's giddy mood.

"Yeah, come on over," Ella replied, just as she pulled in front of her house.

"See you then," Arianna said.

Ella hung up her phone and went inside. She pulled her laptop out and sat on the couch dropping it on the coffee table. She opened google, "Okay. Bill..." She typed in his name, and though for a moment, "Bill has an accent I think. Where is Bill from? Russia?" She typed in Russia after his name.

"Oh wow look at that Russia wants to make emo illegal." She surfed the sites that popped up. "Nothing. Okay Live Journal, Myspace, Facebook. What else?" She tried them all with no luck. "Where are you Bill?"

She slammed her computer shut and tossed herself back on the couch with a huge sigh, "Damn it!" Kicking the computer on the floor with out even caring much about it, she laid there playing with the ring she still wore on her finger.

A few hours had passed before Arianna finally showed up. She swung open the door without knocking, with a pizza box in hand, "Ella!? I brought food!" She sung out trying to locate her friend.

"I'm in here," Ella replied without peeling her body off the couch.

Arianna walked in and set the pizza on the table in front of Ella, "The VMA's are on tonight. So I brought pizza so we can sit and make fun of everyone's crappy outfits, and speeches." Arianna giggled before she sat down in the chair.

"Kay," Ella smiled at her, reaching over to open the pizza box to see what was inside. "Pepperoni. Yay!"

"Can't go wrong with pepperoni, "Arianna laughed. "So what were you so excited about?"

"You remember Bill?" Ella started to explain.

"Yeah..." Arianna's brow raised as she looked at her friend waiting for the crazy to start pouring out of her mouth. Ella pulled the ring off her finger and handed it to Arianna without saying anything else. Arianna looked it over, and shrugged, "your taste in jewelry has diminished greatly?"

"No!" Ella snatched the ring back, "It's Bill's."

"Wait....so you met him?" Arianna got more excited.

"Well no," Ella looked away feeling a little silly to continue, "Last night I dreamt that I was in the snow, but the snow wasn't cold to the touch. There was an icy pond, and some trees...but the weird thing was...I asked for it. When I wanted it it shows showed up. Then I waited there, wishing for Bill to come, and he did! Eventually he showed up, and we played in the snow, and talked...and..." She stopped herself there.

"So where'd the ring come from?" Arianna asked.

"I had his hand, and I was playing with the ring in my fingers. Then my alarm clock went off, and when I woke up....the ring was in my bed. I brought this ring out of my dream, "Ella explained quite excitedly.

"You....brought the ring.....out of your dream?" Arianna asked watching the crazy pour.

"YES!" Ella almost seemed shocked that Arianna didn't seem to believe her. She sighed, getting up off the couch, and walking to her desk. She pulled a stack of dream books up, and plopped them on top of the pizza box. "See look here. Some people believe that your dreams are your soul being carried to another plain of existence, and whomever you meet on the other side is also having that same dream. So in turn, everyone you dream about...is dreaming with you." She opened the book to the pages where she read the info. She pulled open another book and flipped it open, "Here...this says that dreams are manifestations of our subconscious thoughts. So in turn, if the person knew he or she was dreaming, they would have the power to subconsciously change their dreams." She threw the book across the table. "This is all true, I know, because I've done it!"

"Okay, okay. If this is true. I dream about people all the time. When I tell that person about the dream, they don't remember being in it. Because they weren't in it. It was my dream, not theirs," Arianna debunked her theories.

"A person can dream thousands of different dreams a night. We only remember one if we're lucky. Who's to say that dream YOU remembered, wasn't a dream that someone else simply forgot?" Ella snapped back.

"Alright. If that's true, then what makes you think that Bill....if he even exists, remembers you?" Arianna replied.

Ella's head dropped with a sigh, making Arianna immediately feel terrible for saying it. "I don't know that he remembers me. I don't even know that he is real."

"I'm sorry Ella," Arianna took the ring out of Ella hand and looked at it, "I'm sure he is real. No dream man would wear anything this tacky."

Ella laughed and took the ring back, slipping it back on her finger, "It's not tacky. It looks good on him."

"I hope so, because it looks terrible on you," Arianna joked.

"Hey!" Ella threw a pillow from the couch at her.

Arianna laughed and tossed the pillow back, and got up to grab a slice of pizza, "We'll find your tacky boyfriend, okay?"

Ella smirked, "So you believe me?"

Arianna looked up from her pizza at Ella, "If I say no you'll throw another pillow at me, and this pizza was expensive. So...yeah sure, whatever."

Ella rolled her eyes, "Thanks Arie" She said with an almost sarcastic tone.

Arianna picked up the remote from the end table next to her and turned on the TV. She turned the channel watching that last few minutes of The Hills, "Watch the pretty people walk on the red carpet and shut up," She ordered, "Maybe we'll get lucky and someone will fall."

"Do you even know who's up for what?" Ella asked.

"No...and I don't care, "Arianna replied amercing herself in the TV.

Ella just laughed rolling her eyes as she pulled a slice of pizza from the box, munching away at it.

"Ooo! Katy Perry," Arianna pointed out the limo on TV.

"I like her, " Ella giggled and listened intently. Just as the interview ended, the cameras switched to a giant, very shiny monster truck rolling down the read carpet. Tokio Hotel written on it's side and the faces of the band's four members. The cameras caught the band riding in the back, and Ella choked on her pizza. Spitting a huge wade of chewed pepperoni across the room.

Arianna jumped up, and looked around the room trying to figure out what was going on," What?! WHAT?!" Ella coughed and hacked trying to catch her breath. she reached up her arm and pointed at the TV as she choked to death. "Tokio Hotel? What?"

"Bill!" Ella got enough air to squeak out his name.

"What?" Arianna asked not being able to hear her.

Ella jumped out of her seat and jumped up and down in frustration, "It's Bill! BILL! It's fucking BILL!" She franticly pointed at the screen.

"THAT'S BILL!?" Arianna pointed to the screen as well in total shock. "Seriously?"

"YES!' Ella screamed.

"Oh my GOD!" Arianna busted out laughed, literally hitting the floor and rolling around. "You're in love with a rock star!"

Ella folded her arms and watched her friend laugh at her, "It's not funny."

"Oh wow!" she pulled herself up using the coffee table to rewind the DVR and watch it again, "He IS tacky!" Arianna busted out laughing again.

"He...He is not!" Ella defended, "Give me that!" She snatched the remote out of Arianna's hand and turned up the volume to hear what they had to say.

"Is he like...12?" Arianna asked as she watched from the floor.

"NO!" Ella threw her pizza at her. "I don't think....I hope not," She said under her breath. Ella tossed the books on the floor and pushed the pizza box in Arianna's lap. She yanked her computer up off the floor, and opened google again. This time tying in, 'Bill Tokio Hotel'. The search results scrolled down her screen and her eyes light up happily. She clicked on the images link at the top of the screen and watched the thousands of photos pop up on her screen. She ran her finger tips over the screen as the familiar face loaded.

Arianna plopped the pizza on the chair she was sitting in, and sat next to Ella to watch what she was doing. She watched Ella open window after window of photos. She stared at him with a puzzled look on her face, "Are you sure he's straight?" Arianna asked.

Ella stopped clicking and turned to Arianna and nodded without a doubt in her mind, "Yeah. I'm sure."

Arianna's face changed from confused to complete shock, "Oh my god, you fucked him, didn't you?" Ella looked immediately back to the screen without answering her. "Oh! You're dirty dream whore!"

Ella rolled her eyes and laughed, "Everyone sleeps with someone in their dreams."
"oh ew! EW! EW EW!" Arianna freaked out, "You didn't even know who he was!"
"I knew he was kind, and sweet. I knew how he made me feel when he looked at me. When he spoke to me. When he...touched me, " Ella paused for a moment before she continued with a smirk, "I knew he was hot."

Arianna laughed and shook her head, "Never. Never would I have every thought...you'd end up with someone like him. You go for jocks, and....jerks."

"Yes, Arie I do," Ella stared at pictures of Bill as she spoke, "He's not like that. He's so....amazing." Ella opened a bio page of the band's members and read more about her mystery lover. She jumped up out of her seat with an excited scream, "YES!" Arianna still looking at the screen to find out what caused the reaction. Ella looked down at her and laughed, "He's 19! He's legal!"

"I don't think the dream police would have arrested you anyway," Arianna replied sarcastically.

"True, but at least I'm not...gross," She said as she wrinkled her nose up at the thought.

"Oh you're still gross," Arianna smirked.

"You're just mean," Ella plopped back down and started scrolling through more pictures.

Arianna smiled at her best friend slowly slipping into crazy crush. She watched the pictures flip by on Ella's screen. "He does have perfect skin, and I do kind of like his hair. He's like a little emo loin. Does he purr, Ella?"

Ella laughed but didn't look up from the screen, "He hasn't yet, but he has a nice breathy moan."

Arianna's eyes looked at her friend in shock, "Wow. Just wow." The TV announced the nominee's for best new artist, and Arianna pulled on Ella's arm, "They're up." The winner was announced to be Tokio Hotel. Arianna jumped up and clapped her hands excitedly. Ella sat in her seat with a gleeful smile watching her friend bounce around. As Bill spoke, thanking his fans for the award, Arianna watched the screen with eyes widened. Ella just smiled with pride. Once Bill had finished Arianna looked down at Ella and realized she was the only one freaking out. "Okay...AND he's got a good band. Oh, and he has nice pants. Could you ask him if I can borrow those?"

Ella grabbed Arianna's hand and yanked her back down to the couch, "No."

Arianna gave Ella a fake pouted lip, and rested her head on Ella's shoulder, "From what I hear he doesn't need pants around you."

"Would you shut up," Ella shook her head and went back to her Bill searching.

"STOP!" Arianna yelled.

"What?!" Ella looked around the room in a panic.

"Go back," Arianna pointed to the computer screen. Ella did as she was told, until Arianna screamed, "THERE!"

Ella stared at the picture, "What? It's Bill, yeah. So?"

"Look closer," Arianna pointed to the picture. Ella studied the picture closer until her eyes fell upon his right hand. He was wearing the same ring in the picture, as he was that night. The same ring the Ella now wore.

Ella gave Arianna a satisfied smile, "Believe me now?"

Arianna looked back and forth from her friend to the screen in shock. It was almost as if the comfort of believing her friend was crazy has just fallen out from under her, "S...Sure."

Ella shock her head, knowing her friend still thought she was a nutter. She surfed the web the remainder of the time Arianna stayed. The two of them staring at the screen without another word out of either. Once the VMA's ended, Arianna pulled herself up off the couch and sighed. "I should get going. You can have the rest of the pizza." Ella just nodded and continued to surf. She rose her hand and waved in Arianna's direction as she intently read something about Bill written on the screen. Arianna folded her arms waiting for Ella's attention, but never seemed to get it. she walked out the door without another word.

After another few hours of searching, Ella stretched her arms out and yawned. She looked around the room and noticed the flowers she'd picked were started to dry out. She looked outside at the pitch darkness, and sighed, "Should I?" She asked herself. She walked to the back door, and picked up the lantern, and her basket on the shelf close to the door. She turned it on, and walked out in the backyard with uncertainty. She sighed loudly, and mustered up the courage to walk through the huge field ,and dark woods to get to her garden. She flung open the door, and closed it quickly behind her with a sigh of relief. Stepping through the garden her tension seemed to melt away as the sweet aroma filled her. She plucked a few buds from the vine and stuffed them in her basket. After she'd picked a good amount she got a creepy feeling that someone was watching her. She looked around her quickly, making she there was nobody there. She couldn't see anyone, but there was something there. Something that want to cause her harm. She could feel it.

She headed to the door, and slowly opened it, looking around outside she saw nothing. Slowly she backed into the wooded area, looking all around to make sure there was nothing there. She quickly pushed her way through the thick brush. She heard foot steps closing in behind her. She picked up her pace and ran through the woods. The tree branches smacking her in the face as she ran. She reached the end of the woods, and ran out into the field spinning around to see what was there. The same growl she'd heard before echoed in the night's still air. "Shit!" She backed away from the woods. Her eyes fixed on the darkened trees. The heavy foot steps stomped through the woods quicker then before right for her. She screamed and dropped the lantern on the group, turning and running for the house as fast as she could run. She flung open the back door, and slammed it closed. She turned and leaned her body against the door. Something slammed up against the door with a loud thud, causing Ella to bounce off the door, and scream. It snarled at the door. Scratching it's claws on the wood. Ella turned and backed away from the door, her hand over her heart with one hand, and the other clutching onto her basket. She back into her kitchen table, and screamed out not knowing what it was. She spun around to defend herself. Once Ella recovered from the scare, she noticed the scratching had stopped. She finally felt as if it had gone when two giant paws slammed against the glass of her kitchen window. The window was well above her Kitchen sink. Whatever it was...was big. Ella screamed and jumped back into the table knocking the vase off onto the floor. She fell on her butt as she stared at the glowing eyes staring at her through the glass dropped her basket in her lap, and crawled back on her hands. She felt a piece of broken glass from the vase that has fallen, and picked it up, wielding it against the beast. It growled very loudly, it's breath leaving a condensation cloud on the glass. Ella held tightly on the small shard of glass, with her eyes fixed on that window. Finally it's paws pushed off the glass, and it's heavy foot steps could be heard fleeing the area. Ella sat on the floor shaking,. still brandishing her weak excuse for a weapon.

"What the fuck was that?" She asked herself as she slowly pulled herself back up off the floor. She looked down at her hand that had such a tight grip on the glass that it had cut her deeply. Her hand dripping blood all over the floor. She slowly opened her and and dropped the glass on the floor. She walked over to the kitchen sink slowly, and turned on the water. She ran the cold water over her bloody hand and sighed. Grabbing a towel off the counter, she wrapped up her =and and walked back to the fallen basket of flower. She picked them up, and placed them around the house. She's fought for them. She deserved them.

She went upstairs, and changed her clothes. She looked around the room at the door and windows. She pushed the dresser in front of the window, and locked the door tightly, to protect herself in her sleep form whatever it was that has followed her home. It wasn't going to stop her from seeing Bill.

She curled up in her bed, and fell asleep.
