Chap 5

Chapter 5:

Tony smoothed out the front of his shirt again and looked himself over in the full-length mirror. Making a face of disapproval, he turned to the side a bit and studied himself further. He had no idea why he was being so selective about his outfit. After all, he'd gone out with his friends hundreds of times. This was nothing new. Except for the fact that HeeJun and Kangta would be going out not as friends, but as something more. And that would leave a lot of tension and between him and Woo Hyuk. That, and a number of uncontrollable, NC-17-type thoughts.

He turned to his other side, studying the way the silver-grey material of the shirt hung on his body. He definitely disapproved.

Woo Hyuk stepped into the bathroom, just finishing buttoning up his shirt. He glanced Tony over before declaring, "That shirt looks awful. Take it off, now." With a grin and a playful laugh, he pulled up the edge of Tony's shirt.

Tony tugged it back down, rolling his eyes half-heartedly. "Thank you so much for your input, King of Style."

"Stop fussing over how you look," Woo Hyuk ordered, stepping past Tony and looking at himself in the mirror above the sink.

"I'm not fussing," Tony insisted.

"Right, Tonyah," Woo Hyuk replied sarcastically. "Come on, I watched you try on like twenty-three shirts before you stuck with this one."

"You saw that?" Tony asked, surprised.

With a laugh as he teased his hair, Woo Hyuk responded with an arrogant air, "I see all." He finally decided his hair was fine, and he turned to face Tony, who had gone back to studying himself in the mirror. "Why are you worrying so much?"

Trying to cover his slight nervousness about the night to follow, Tony answered in a false voice, "I want to look my best for my first big date with the all-seeing Woo Hyuk, don't I?"

"Why bother? The all-seeing Woo Hyuk sees all, including what you look like without all the prep." He turned back to the sink, grabbing a toothbrush.

"Well, I just want to have tonight run smooth for Kangta and HeeJun," Tony tried another excuse.

Removing the toothbrush from his mouth long enough to emit his reply, Woo Hyuk said, "And that includes you looking good how?"

"We don't want an ugly duckling interrupting the group of three swans, do we?"

Woo Hyuk rinsed his mouth before placing his toothbrush in its holder and stepping toward the door. Before leaving the small room, he threw out, "You're not an ugly duckling. You're an adorable monkey. So you should love yourself more." He stepped from the room.

Kangta's face was bright red as he opened the door to greet HeeJun. HeeJun grinned in mild embarrassment and blushed himself.

"Ready to go?" he inquired.

Kangta nodded mutely, grabbing his jacket and slinging it over his arm before slipping his free arm through HeeJun's and walking out of the apartment with him. He locked his door, and they walked to HeeJun's car, a rather uncomfortable silence between them.

Stopping at the passenger-side door with his hand on the handle, HeeJun looked at Kangta. "I don't know if this is going to work," he said reluctantly.

"What do you mean?" Kangta asked, surprised.

"Things are... tense, different. I don't like it."

Kangta shrugged. "Sorry."

HeeJun couldn't hold back a soft laugh. "For what?"

"I don't know. But it's probably my fault anyway."

HeeJun laughed at his comment, releasing the car door handle and stepping toward him. "It's not your fault. But if we plan on going out tonight, things need to change." HeeJun leaned his face toward Kangta's and brought their lips together softly. Pulling away, he said, "I don't want our first date to be a disaster."

Grinning like a fool in love, Kangta stepped closer to HeeJun and kissed him, a bit more forcefully. HeeJun slipped his arms around Kangta's waist to pull him against himself, and Kangta's arms wound around HeeJun's neck.

Kangta broke the kiss moments later and practically whispered, his lips almost brushing HeeJun's, "This doesn't seem disastrous to me."

Kissing Kangta briefly once more, HeeJun released him and stepped away, forcing Kangta to withdraw his arms. "We should go, or we'll be picking up Tony and WooHyuk late."

Kangta nodded, but pulled HeeJun to himself for another lingering kiss before heeding his suggestion. He slipped into the car, and HeeJun climbed into the other side, starting the vehicle and pulling away from the apartment complex.
~~~
HeeJun was bouncy and fun, as always, and Kangta hung on his every word, laughing at his jokes and thoroughly enjoying spending time with HeeJun, acting as he did every day. So why was Tony so uncomfortable sitting next to Woo Hyuk while Kangta and HeeJun were with them? Tony did his best to concentrate on his meal, but he kept glancing to HeeJun and Kangta, as though asking them to give him a good reason for him to leave right then.
"So," Kangta turned to Tony to say softly as HeeJun returned for a moment to his dinner, "why did you agree to come with WooHyuk, anyway?" He saw the playful grin on Kangta's face, and knew the reason Kangta had in mind.
Tony half shrugged. "I just wanted to be supportive of you two," he gestured to HeeJun.
"Oh," Kangta said, with a very slight bit of disappointment in his voice. "That's the only reason?"
"Yeah, that's the only reason," Tony answered, not hiding in his voice that he knew what Kangta was thinking.
Kangta nodded. Turning instead to Woo Hyuk across the table, he stated, "WooHyuk, I'd like to speak to you for a moment."
Woo Hyuk put down his fork and stood, curiosity in his expression. He followed Kangta away from the table and towards the men's room.
Tony watched them turn the corner toward the restrooms before turning his gaze to HeeJun. "So what did you say to Kangta about the tape when you saw him?"
"Actually," HeeJun looked away from Tony for a moment, looking back before continuing, "I kind of blew him off for a few days before I said anything."
Tony raised an eyebrow.
"But I called him eventually. And asked him out."
"And invited me and WooHyuk?"
"No," HeeJun responded, his expression perplexed. "Kangta said WooHyuk thought a double date would help us be more comfortable."
Tony shook his head a bit, frowning. "But... Woo Hyuk told me Kangta asked us to go."
HeeJun looked momentarily confused, then understanding and amusement washed over his features.
Tony was even more confused by HeeJun's seemingly misplaced reaction. "What?"
Chuckling, he shook his head. "I think I know what went on. I think Kangta is trying to set up you and Woo Hyuk. He must have convinced himself that since his confession worked on me, he can work a little magic and work something out between the two of you."
"But," Tony protested, "there's nothing between me and WooHyuk."
"Mmhmm," HeeJun casually responded, an eyebrow raised.
"There's not," Tony insisted.
"And I believe you, Seung Ho," HeeJun replied sarcastically.
Tony heaved a sigh of frustration and commented, "Are you sure it's not you trying to set us up, instead of Kangta?"
"Oh, come on," HeeJun defended his position, "I'm surprised you two sleep in separate beds, the way you act around each other." He paused before questioning, "You do sleep in separate beds, right?"
Looking offended, Tony answered, "Of course we sleep in separate beds." Calming a bit, he repeated, "There's nothing between me and WooHyuk." Averting his eyes from HeeJun, he added briefly, "Even if I wanted something."
HeeJun's eyes went wide. "I knew it."
"Hey," Tony reprimanded, "not the best time to gloat, Gizmo."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," HeeJun said quickly, "please, continue." Despite his serious tone, his face was covered in a grin.
"HeeJun," Tony hesitantly continued, "I'm in love with WooHyuk, and I have no idea what to do about it."
"How about you get piss drunk, pass out at your apartment, then leave him a tape saying you love him?"
"I'm being serious."
"I know."
Tony scowled.
"Well, you could just tell him."
"Right," Tony muttered under his breath, "so he can kick me out of the apartment and never talk to me again."
"Why would he do that?" HeeJun asked, surprised at the fact that Tony would think his best friend would do that to him.
"Ah, never mind. I'll just... keep on the way I am. It's worked this far. Why would I open my mouth and ruin a good thing?"
"Because I think he has a right to know."
Tony sighed slightly. "I know. I know he does. But... I love being around him, spending time with him, anything to do with him. I don't know how I'd survive if that stopped. I don't want to risk losing him."
"Tony, if WooHyuk was hiding from you his feelings, would you want him to tell you?"
"Well, yeah," Tony stated, "because I love him too."
"What if WooHyuk is in the same situation as you are, right now?"
Tony laughed a bit and shook his head. "He's not," Tony assured HeeJun.
"Why are you so sure?"
"I just... am," Tony said. "I would know if the man I was living with was interested in me."
"Just like he can tell you're interested in him?"
"HeeJun, come on."
Heejun was still grinning. "Hey, it's fun to entertain the thought, anyway. You confess, and he opens his heart to you, too, and then the kissing and the happily-ever-after, et cetera."
"Have you ever been serious, HeeJun?" Tony asked in exasperation.
"Once," HeeJun said reminiscently, "I think it was a Tuesday..."
HeeJun laughed to himself as Tony looked even more upset. Tony knew HeeJun would never be much help in this situation.
Kangta and Woo Hyuk returned to their seats, and Tony glanced to WooHyuk. The dancer looked like he'd been blushing slightly. His eyes darted to Kangta, then over to Tony, and came to rest on his plate.
Tony turned his gaze to Kangta, who looked disappointed, and something else Tony couldn't identify.
"Everything okay?" Tony asked the pair.
They both mumbled vague affirmatives, and Kangta turned to HeeJun, not even glancing at his food before continuing conversing with HeeJun.
~~~

"You're drunk," WooHyuk told Tony.

"Well," Tony glanced at the sidewalk beneath his feet, then at WooHyuk, "maybe. But just a little." His words were slurred and slow. "And hey, talk about the kettle calling the pot... um, black," Tony concluded, with a shake of his finger in WooHyuk's direction.

WooHyuk opened the door to their apartment building, holding it open until Tony had stepped through. "If you're only 'a little' drunk, then I'm sober as a judge."

"Hey," Tony protested playfully, "you're only drunk when you have to grab the grass to keep from falling off of the Earth." He tripped on the edge of the carpet halfway down the hallway toward their apartment and landed heavily against WooHyuk, who caught him and lifted him upright again. Tony began giggling uncontrollably at himself, leaning against WooHyuk as they resumed walking.

Tony pulled out his keys as they reached their apartment door, and he tried several times unsuccessfully to get the key into the keyhole. On his fifth try, WooHyuk's hand wrapped around his and led the key to its destination smoothly. He did not release Tony's hand as he turned the key, pushed the door open, and pulled the key from the lock.

Tony glanced up at Woo Hyuk as they entered the apartment and shut the door. Woo Hyuk led Tony's hand to the pocket of Tony's pants, dropping the keys into his pocket, before pulling Tony's hand back toward himself. He wrapped Tony's arm around his waist, then lifted Tony's other arm around himself, encompassing Tony in his arms and burying his face against Tony's shoulder. "You know, I tell you every time we go out drinking not to let me drink this much."

Tony laughed softly. "But you're such a fun drunk. And with Kangta paying, who would pass up a perfect opportunity to get as drunk as possible?"

WooHyuk pulled away from Tony, walking toward Tony's bedroom. He collapsed ungracefully onto Tony's bed, stating, "That's no excuse, Tony An."

"What're you doing in my room?" Tony questioned.

Woo Hyuk struggled into a sitting position. "I am putting you to bed," he answered with confidence.

Tony laughed, sitting on his mattress. "I can put myself to bed, so you can go to your room and get into your own bed, before you end up passing out here."

"Well, I didn't realise I was that undesirable," WooHyuk commented, making as though he was about to stand.

Recalling their conversation from a few days previously, Tony touched his arm to stop him from leaving. "Woo Hyuk-ah, of course I find you desirable," he recreated the situation from the other day, "I just didn't know if you felt the same."

Pulling Tony gently into his lap, WooHyuk continued, "A delicious little morsel like you? Of course I do." He placed a kiss to Tony's cheek, but did not pull immediately away. Keeping his face close to Tony's, he added, "And I always have."

Tony looked to Woo Hyuk to see if his serious tone was honest. Unable to tell, Tony asked lamely, "Really?"

WooHyuk nodded, tilting his head to brush his lips against Tony's. Tony's lips immediately responded, pressing back against Woo Hyuk's greedily.

Woo Hyuk pulled Tony tightly to himself, deepening their kiss and only releasing Tony's lips when he needed to breathe.

"Saranghaeyo," Tony whispered to WooHyuk, running his hands down Woo Hyuk's chest, then almost violently removing WooHyuk's jacket. WooHyuk responded positively to Tony's forceful nature, moaning slightly. Then, with a similar force, WooHyuk removed Tony's jacket and overshirt, tossing them onto the floor carelessly, his every attention focussed on Tony.

He slipped his hands under Tony's tight black shirt, sliding his hands over Tony's chest. With a swift manoeuver, Tony slipped out of his shirt, tossing it to the bedroom floor. WooHyuk glanced over his newly exposed skin briefly before latching his lips to Tony's neck. Tony let his hands swiftly unbutton WooHyuk's shirt, pushing it from the dancer's shoulders and letting it fall to the bed behind WooHyuk.

WooHyuk's hand slid from Tony's chest to his stomach, pausing teasingly barely an inch from Tony's belt. Tony pressed his hips to WooHyuk's, encouraging him to continue. WooHyuk unclasped Tony's belt and then unzipped his pants. He slipped his hand into Tony's pants, his fingers wrapping firmly around Tony's member. Tony moaned against WooHyuk's lips, kissing the dancer deeply as he pressed himself to the man's hand.

WooHyuk slipped Tony's member from his pants and began to pump it slowly. Tony pressed himself to WooHyuk, moaning his pleasure loudly as his lips brushed WooHyuk's pulse point. As WooHyuk began moving a bit faster, Tony sunk his teeth into WooHyuk's lower neck, leaving a vivd mark on his skin.

WooHyuk tightened his grip as Tony became even more vocal. Tony could feel his peak coming, and he brought his lips to WooHyuk's. WooHyuk broke the kiss long enough to whisper, "I love you too." Tony came, his mind a maze of pleasure and euphoria as he lost himself in the moment.

Coming down from his high as he woke from another dream of him and WooHyuk, Tony returned to reality, his dream disappearing from his view. The imagined warmth of WooHyuk's body against his own evaporated from his head. He shut his eyes tightly for a moment before grabbing his pillow, pressing it to his face, and screaming a stream of profanities into it. Placing the pillow back onto the bed, Tony breathed deeply a few times and stood, heading toward the shower to get himself cleaned off.
